Quick correction I might have found: I think the 14 frame WS 4+1 at 1:27 is actually WS 4+2. I've replicated both a few times and it's definitely 4+2 for the quick jab, the 4+1 is much slower.
iam glad that i finally i have my main character in tekken 8 (before i just played casualy jun, bryan and reina) but i must say she isnt easy...her stance transitions got often interrupted or punished and her neutral low range (aside 3+4) is something i struggle to adapt with. but i enjoy her
Lidia is so fun in this game and i love her unique playstyle and that it has its own identity. Very interesting character that i did not expect to like this much, Great video KJ.
At 6:55 you mentioned qcf+1+2, 2 is safe in neutral, but its actually not. If you set the bot to block then jab, you get punished every time because the stance frames keep you from blocking unfortunately.
Lidia right now feels a little bit underwhelming for me, the lows are waaaay to bad, and incredibly punishable for how bad they are, also some of her transitions are way too risky, like whi is 122 -16 launchable? Or db3 being +7 is annoying as jabs trade with your armor and if you delay it to make it work, then the 2 doesnt trap anymore, should just be +8 and it wouldnt be problematic, iunno i really hope they realeas some fixess for her lows and transitions by im not too hopeful. Still gonna play her though, shes too sick
She feels like the worst character in the game to me. Her buttons are really just not great and she has so little actual pressure outside of stances. Even then it's easy to just get her out of that pressure. She's also weirdly slow and stubby.
I agree with everything except the lows. Reina has bad lows but we all think she’s top tier. I think the character is just a bit to punishable but they make up for it in damage. If u get a combo in you can do 60-80 damage. I feel like they’ll even it out once more players get use to her.
I find her quite simple actually. Constantly trying to find ff2 to go into heaven and earth which can end the round. And then she has certain other moves to stop sidestepping which is her kryptonite.

Frame data in this case *does not matter* because these moves put you into a stance where you can't block. 7:15 qcf1+2, 2 reads as -6 on block, but it is AT LEAST -13 on block, as you can't get out of stance in time to block a 13f punish. DB3 reads -11, but is launch punishable by a 16 frame move. 1,2,2 reads -8, but is launch punishable by a 15 frame move. UF4 reads -4, but is punishable by a 13 frame move. 2,2 reads -4, but is punishable by a 12 frame move.
@@Luna-oy8ej I know in t7 always assume they were atleast -15 after transition on block unless it was intentionally plus framed. in t8 it might be a little less. But I find KJ's channel good personally.
@@Luna-oy8ejit requires trial and error. For example I used Paul who - I don’t THINK - has a 14 frame punish. Set them to stand block, and punish after. Record punishment #1 as his df2 15 frame launcher. Exit menu and do db3 as Lidia, and hold back. You’ll either block it, or you won’t. Essentially, in that case it takes at least 5 frames or greater to go from horse stance into a blocking stance. Rinse and repeat. It’s possible each stance has a different amount of frames it takes to go from Stance -> blocking.
all of this can be resolved if we can cancel her stance changes by holding back. I really hope they fix this because its crazy how 1,2,2 is launch punishable even though you dont get much reward from it
@@Luna-oy8ejit takes her 9 frames to stand or crouch block from one of her stances by holding b or db. So to find out how punishable she really is disadvantage the frames by 8.
@19:11 Can someone confirm if ff4,3 has a bigger hitbox at level 3? I’ve seen some combo videos where after a tornado they do: F3+4 then 3 then ff4,3 At level 3

1,22 is launch on block not safe due to the forced stance afterwards.
Your right, if I did say that in the video, I didn’t mean to. 1,2,2 is a mid option finish whereas 1,2,4 is a low option finish

I started playing her but Im hard stuck on basic combos that require just frames links pretty much everytime and everywhere from start to finish
