Jadaya Indigo I just didn't think his humor was that good. It had some funny parts but his personality just wasn't the same. He was kind of a dick but thanks to character progression he got better.
yknow what really puts me off? I can take the new Dante, like, I'm not that fussy over characters tbh. but what REALLY does my head in is how...just...like, its got absolutely nothing in common with any of the other games at ALL, All the previous games have had a fitting gothic/religious theme about it, so the presence of the demons actually fits in with the theme. I know this game was made by different people and stuff, but I just feel like NONE of it is related to the previous ones...it doesn't feel like Dante is actually fighting demons, instead everything just makes it feel like he's just constantly tripping major balls...I still enjoy the game! it just feels like they just slapped the DmC logo on a random game and sold it.

Well it IS a reboot. xD I love the new Dante too. Hes cocky, hardy and happy-go-lucky with that "come at me!" attitude. The reason this isnt gothic must be because they used the modern world where selfie sticks and propaganda rule.
So, I hated the idea of this game, I was pissed they changed everything. Then I bought the game. At first, I played with the classic Dante skin since yeah, it's available and there's no point of NOT playing without it if you're a huge DMC (before this one) fan. So, my verdict was, the music was fucking great, the action wasn't bad, the non-existent lock on feature in the other DMC games was the only problem. The boss battles were pretty cool too. I'm just saying, this game isn't bad, so if you're a hardcore DMC fan who didn't want to try this game, think again. Buy it cheap if you're scared.

I only play it because DMC4 crashes after the first fight and the controls weren't meant for PC so it's hard as hell to control... I got no other DMC games, but I really liked DmC Devil May Cry, the character fits my style, arrogant, powerful, lack of anime hair. Since people are saying it's nothing like the others, well that's because it's a reboot. I'm not going to compare it to the others because I haven't played them, but I'm not going to hate on this because it's too easy or Dante is different.

It was a good fitting for him because his smart-ass remarks got me to grin at times. The only thing I didn't agree with was the anime hair. I love anime hair at times. Listening to this in 2022. After all the DMC games and DMC5 , you know, the reboot was pretty good in it's own right. And aside from the questionable Spin on the Characters and simpler Approach to the Combat System, the game was Hella fun to play.

Of all of the songs from DMC, this is one of the few that I can recognize outside of the game along with Never Surrender and Empty, the Vergil boss theme. It's a pretty good song.

People whine and complain about this game, and I admit I did too. Rented it when it came out... Didn't think much of it, never played it again.... Got around to playing the Definitive Edition and... Yeah I actually got into the gameplay more AND I got into the story more and character since I was actually giving it more of a chance... And Nothing in THIS GAME contradicts ANY of the previous games in terms of how Dante is. Why? It's an origin story for a new universe and how THIS Dante is during the game? Doesn't mean he cannot, pretty easily in fact, become the Dante we know from the classic series.

I consider DmC a worthy prequel to DMC3- detailing the events that led to Dante and Vergil's falling out and the introduction of humans to the demon world.
I've to say the one thing that DmC reboot did a million times better than DMC5 is the OST. This song and Combichrist is much better than the fucking shame that is Subhuman. Capcom should let this guys do Dante theme instead. Or even make Shootie HG come back.

Both of them are damn good. But DmC is too easy for me. DMC4 is still the best for me nero is easier than old dante and allows alot of new players or people who want a warm up to get used to the controls. DMC4 dante is freaking hard to use but if your someone who can get down with a steep learning curve with parrys, battle strageties etc then you'll like DMC4 but its not freaking easy. This DmC has the best soundtrack, I'm always coming back to these rocking songs.

That's why I love DMC 5th series. It's the first DMC that shown trash metal music! Plus, I love Dante's outfits in that game, more than other series. Anyways, he is NOT EMO, but PUNK! :D
Both of them are damn good.
But DmC is too easy for me.
DMC4 is still the best for me nero is easier than old dante and allows alot of new players or people who want a warm up to get used to the controls.
DMC4 dante is freaking hard to use but if your someone who can get down with a steep learning curve with parrys, battle strageties etc then you'll like DMC4 but its not freaking easy.
This DmC has the best soundtrack, I'm always coming back to these rocking songs.
If this wasn't called Devil May Cry or a Complete new IP then it would've been a banger
