- I've noticed that many versions of this song on TH-cam have rather poor audio quality with fluctuating volume issues.
As I rather enjoy this song I figured I'd do my best to record the song directly from the game, tinker with some parts (mainly the opening) and upload it here. The song itself has a naturally "fuzzy" sound so everything may not sound super clean but it's the best I could get so hopefully you'll enjoy hearing this in all its glory.
Also DmC: Devil May Cry is a totally underrated game, very fun gameplay and inventive art direction even with the kinda weak story.

Just figured whilst I was here I'd tidy some things up as looking back I'm not a fan of the original video title as it looks pretty ugly in retrospect. For archival purposes though here's the original title if you're curious - "DmC: Devil May Cry - Tic Tac (Gotta Go) Battle Theme // Clean HQ Audio".
Felt the whole "Clean HQ Audio" part was kinda tacky looking and also kinda false as I'm sure you could get an even cleaner version of this song if you ripped it from the game files directly.
Also as I've seen a fair amount of people complimenting the gameplay in the comments, please know that it is in fact not my own (I wish). @@AokiZeto Yes, it is. The game is nowhere as complex as the two previous entry(3 and 4, though it was fun), and the story like, wanted itself to be taken seriously and have a hyper mega great message that Society is bad and bla bla bla.
@@mithril5155 I will say it was better than DMC2. Most bosses in DmC were quite stationary, but at least they attacked. I remember one boss on DMC2 who kept doing one move that wasn't even threatening and you could sit back and shoot it to death in like 2 minutes. The mechanics in DMC2 was pretty cool, but I'd gladly say DmC: Devil May Cry was much better overall.

This game was my gateway into the franchise. Since I've enjoyed it so much and people said it was considered the "Worst" , then it could only get better from there and so far it is.......Not you 2. For that it gets a special place in my heart. That and the schlocky B-tier story and acting are a plus in my book.

It's a lot easier to look at the game with a clearer head now that we know the reboot was abandoned, and the original series got continued. Now you can really just appreciate what the game does right and don't really have to worry about what it means for the main series.

It's honestly weird they didn't forward some of the music because they forwarded a TON of gameplay elements from DmC into 4 and 5.

I wasn’t really able to click with 1&2 story wise, but 3 onward, I understood the plot of the game. I know 1 was the first game so I can give it a slight pass but 2? Interesting to say the least.

IMO, the reboot had the best soundtrack of the series. Don’t get me wrong, DMC5 has amazing songs, and Devil Never Cry is just one of the best songs in Video Game history, but the reboot had the biggest number of good songs. Thanks Combichrist.

Hard disagree. I honestly found the soundtrack of DmC to be meh. Gotta Go is the only one that really stands out. All the other dmc games including 2 had more memorable songs.
The first time i played this game, i didnt know about skill upgrades all i knew was, i had to kill all the demon waves.

@@xWriterclarenocturnexx dude people like DMC cause its a playable over the top action anime,when you try your hardest to make a plot from a game series like that somewhat realistic (like DmC does) it just doesn't work like sure,DMC lore is all over the place but is a staple of the series,DmC in the other hand doesn't even have good voice lines most of the time,the story and the message it was trying to to tell the player were ok as i estaded but was delivered very bad,dialogues,the personality of characters,its all just garbage and a good story can't be delivered like that,DMC in the other hand has very few bad voice lines that i can think of and the characters are at least above avarage (except in Arius DMC2 cause) and the lore is as i said,its unrealistic funny clichê anime plot at its finnest but it works

This game rocks but it needed to be its own thing. I mean, it could have worked as a DMC spin off, but to me they didn't worked well the ideas and resulted in them missing a really good opportunity to make something really great. Gameplay, soundtrack, the Limbo design and the potential that the game had is what carried me through it.
it's a fuckin reboot dummy... its supposed to have a different take... just like how dante and virgil where first originated from the divine comedy and side note: devil may cry was supposed to be resident evil yet they changed it to be its own IP
they had the story right from the beginning from the 2010 TGS trailer but then brain rotted 'fans' sent death threats which ruined ninja theory, which lead to Capcom demanding change
plus reboot dante is supposed to be unlikeable
plus the director of dmc5 wanted to make a sequel of DmC 2 but he didn't want to interfere with ninja theories universe so then he made DMC 5 which he took quite a lot of inspiration from DmC... plus he said that DmC was his favourite game

DmC might have been a massive shitstain on the series story-wise, but there is no denying that it's gameplay and soundtrack was totally banging.
Wouldn't be surprised if some of it's fluidity rubbed onto DMC 5, which would imply it took something good from this.
@@CErra310 ??? Itsuno has said multiple times that he loved this game and literally said that he wanted to make a DmC 2 instead of a DMC 5 but decided not to without ninja theory because this is their universe.
That's why DMC 5 has a more realistic art style and color palette, looks way closer to the reboot than DMC 4. Jump cancelling is easier like in DmC, the Fury is literally a harder version of the Dreamrunner enemy from DmC. Even Dante's alternative costume is a reference to Donte. Hell, the final arena you fight Vergil in is literally copy pasted from DmC. And when they released vergil in DMC 4 they literally said that his teleportation was inspired by reboot Vergil, and in DMC 5 he even has the doppelganger that reboot Vergil had. Yes Dante had a doppelganger style, but Vergil's Doppelganger works exactly the same as Reboot Vergil, not like Dante's

Personally I love DmC, it’s the game that I poured countless hours into, and eventually went back to play the previous entries.
I don’t agree with the people who say ‘it’s not a bad game it’s just a bad DMC game’. I think it’s an okay DMC game are you really going to tell me it’s worse than 2 and 4? (Not trying to attack anyone, not naming names)
Honestly I wish Capcom gives this version another whirl down the line. Don’t call it DmC, call it Limbo City or something. Don’t call the MC’s Dante and Vergil, Kat is fine nothing outstanding but fine as a love interest. The combat could use a few tweaks. But otherwise I wouldn’t change much.
The only bad thing about 4 is the unoriginal endgame making you repeat the beginning of the game 3 times.
Motiv I humbly disagree. DMC4 has more problems than that.
You fight the same four bosses 3 times. You go through the same game twice. It’s a have finished game that recycles ideas from 1 and 3 and only does them half heartedly. Nero is limited especially compared to Dante who has his Devil Arms (which range from uninspired to pathetic in DMC4).
Everything about DMC4 just screams, ‘Remember 1 and 3, good times right?’. That’s not to say it’s a bad game, it’s average it has its highlights. But I personally feel like to many people give its flaws a pass because it’s more popular to hate on the reboot.

Motiv I have reread what you said. All you said was an unoriginal endgame. But I wouldn’t call mission 13 the Endgame. I’d call that the midpoint. Now the Savior fight that’s Endgame, but again it takes you 4 missions to get to him. That’s like calling the 2nd Vergil fight from 3 endgame.

I don’t remember having to go thru the tutorial fight with Dante 3 times, so I’m not really sure what you’re talking about.

it really wasn't a spit in the face... its more the 'fans' spitting on ninja theory in general... where they were passionate and tried to do a different take on the series (which is called a reboot 'surprise') but the fans reaction from the 2010 TGS trailer ruined ninja theory which lead to Capcom demanding change which is where the final product came in

I kinda wish this was it's own franchise rather than be a reboot of DMC. I still had a ton of fun with it and I loved some of the design of the levels. Story is what is it is but the rest was really not half bad. Alas we'll never get to see it evolve.

If this game had been anything other than an attempt,at a Devil May Cry reboot it would have done amazing. the combat and gameplay were great but their attempt to make it a DMC game is what made it fail
