This was originally in Living Color but NBC reused all the video tapes and only kept b&w 16mm film prints. Thank God though this survives Gisele is such a gifted underrated singer.
The Waldorf-Astoria album is quite something still, a very sophisticated and witty club act with lots of special material and a stunning performance of "Smoke Gets In Your Eyes." Which follows a very funny opening number.
What a gorgeous voice and wonderful performer! Clear as a bell and communicated so much through the words. I think she gets a bit too emotional in the 2nd half after returning to the bridge (Johnny was wise to understate it), but this was truly a treat. Thanks for posting...
simply stunning! just imagine: there was a time when being a singer meant that you could actually sing!!
Her voice was beautiful; she was beautiful; her singing was beautiful. That says it all. And then there are the so called "singers" of today ...
A very moving rendition of this beautiful song. Great phrasing and timing. What a voice!

A great example of seem-less singing from my aunt Gisele. thanks Jim for posting~!
In addition to her beautiful voice, she had a wonderful, warm personality. She was really exceptional. Thanks for posting this.
No special effects on that voice! Marvelous. I remember "Your Hit Parade."
The title says it all, breath-taking. I've been a fan of Gisele MacKenzie ever since I was a little kid. Thanks for sharing :D
Wow! Beautiful phrasing, clear voice - just like Vera Lyn
great melody... great song... great composition... lovely arrangement... beautiful voice... nice performance by a great singer...
JUST OUTSTANDING amazing voice......

I'm not that big of a fan of Gisele MacKenzie; but I have to say that she just hit this one out of the ballpark! Thanks for posting.

A true voice, reminds me of Julie Andrews' love of the lyric, and it is a deep rich sound only Giselle could muster.
