  • Video #3 in a multi-video series on the 7 Alignment Targets of Analog Optimization.
The 7 targets involve 1 linear dimension, 2 forces and 4 angles. This video covers the first of the 4 angles: azimuth.

Hello.Thank you for discovering something new.I think that a slight violation of the azimuth of 1.5 ° will not lead to a loss of nuances in the sound.Probably, in this case, a well-tuned tonearm with one support does a good job.And classic tonearms, to which the cartridges are selected correctly in accordance with the reference values, should pass the modulated groove well. Not noticing the slight azimuth deviation when cutting with a milling cutter. But in general, of course, we need to remember what you have told us.After setting up always need to listen to different compositions and make small adjustments. Thanks!Very informative. We are really looking forward to interesting videos.

Another great video J.R. Thank you. Let's hope you can get the lathe engineers on board with your optimization techniques.

I have a Pure Fidelity Encore , with Acoustic Signature TA- 1000 9’’ tonearm . Use a HANA ml, retipped, Boron Cantilever and nude Micro Ridge . I sure need to be perfectly setup to perform well.
