I feel for your situation and can tell that your angry for your loss but Anthony is not well in the mind and appears to have some psych issues. You might not understand what he is going through internally and or if he has trauma in his life. People online appears to be happy but when left alone their might be depression and some regrets even. I do agree and hope that he keeps his limb since it affects quality of life.
Some want to get rid of their girlfriend, some want their girlfriend back, everyone is different for different reasons, just enjoy your life and let others enjoy theirs.
One of the best and most respectful interviews done with Anthony. Other popular youtubers out there didn't get to him... He is an authentic person with a good heart, and only shows himself when there's a connection with the interviewer. Good work.
This is what's wrong in the world . There are plenty of decent, kind , caring and good people in the world that never get recognized because they don't seek out the attention to feed their egos and because their are many good people in the world that the people who are so thirsty for attention to feed their ( LOOK AT ME !!! EGOS) they will do anything to get noticed and some people are so hungry for the need to get attention, fame and money that they will go to the extremes to obtain their goals. They also seem to find willing participants in the medical field who are willing to profit above the oaths that they took in the medical fields. They also find journalists who can create a narrative and make it seem like the guy who on purpose made himself look like a alien is the poor victim who is bullied and treated less then a human ( and the normal people who stare , ask questions, are frightened of his looks , or even condemn his decisions of amputating his healthy limbs off , and modifying his body are the bad people , and the bullies who go around bullying people for no reason ) so the journalists basically try to twist the narrative that this alien guy is just a normal friendly guy , who goes above and beyond to help other people , and who cares more for other people then the average people living among him , and the journalists gives the narrative that the alien man is better then the rest of us , and that he is just a innocent and one of the most kindest men to have ever walked God's green earth and anyone who dares ask questions, run away from him scared out of their wits etc are the ones with the problem , and are the cruel bullies and will never match alien man's acts of kindness or contributions he has achieved for humanity and in the journalists opinion we are the real aliens and the alien man is the normal one in the world . That is how those journalists spin a narrative in order to push an agenda and make the abnormal society behaviors seem like it's normal and acceptable and it's societies majority who are not normal and if they dare question the actions of the alien man then you are the bully and shamed into silence.
Wow, Antony was actually crying thet he was leaving. These guys really built a bond and thats awesome. It just goes to show you that everything you see with your eyes doesn't really tell you what you're seeing.
He was crying because Anthony's looking for attention and companionship and he's hurt and this is his way of dealing with any kind of hurt and pain and with this guy left he felt a person that got close to him leaving him like his father past I wouldn't be surprised Anthony suicide
It's probably rare in his world to meet someone who primarily came to "study" him and ended up not only "getting" him but liking him as a person. They clicked on many levels and that's not easy to find in life when you're a regular person, much less an oddity.
Also, that hug at the end makes me think he doesn’t technically like being alone. He just wants people who actually love him for him regardless of whether they agree with what he’s done or not
the mean comments shown in the vid made me deeply said. he is a good hearted human. he shows the world that appearence do nothing say about the heart and he is a teacher for ppl to not jugde.
Everytime I see a video or an interview of antony, I always feel a great sense of sadness in him and I can't put my finger on why. I find myself, as strange as it sounds, wanting to be his friend and to be there to support him. I think it mainly stems from how quiet he is and almost timid, he just keeps to himself and sure what he's doing isn't particularly healthy in my opinion but that's up to him.
He is so friendly, he seems to have a gentle heart! My experience with some people that look "scary" is the harder they look the softer is their soul 😊
YES!! I was just saying that. There's a heavily modded guy that I know here locally and he's just been hurt very badly in the past. It's like armour: "don't come near me. stay away" but really their hearts are so gentle. I'm hoping this might help people understand.
@@_nom_ And does that give you an excuse to be cruel to him? Judge him? Do you really think that being that way to someone you suspect of having mental illness would...help them in any conceivable way? Lack of basic human empathy is a sign of mental illness, too - maybe you should check yourself before you diagnose a stranger.
Oddly enough, this documentary showed Anthony's human side and at the same time it showed our alien attitude towards the ones we don't know or dislike.
I've been following him for a while. He comes across as a nice guy, just different. As long as he isn't hurting anyone else, he can do what he wants. The most shocking thing, for me, is he always finds a "surgeon" willing to carry out these procedures!
That’s exactly what I was thinking but it’s 2023 so everyone has to be up in someone’s business having an opinion instead of shutting the fuck up and having a seat like they should be

This legit made me feel more for Anthony, he’s someone who experiences life the way others experience life, he just physically looks different to his you and I do, he still deserves love and kindness
He did it to himself lol. Don't give me that sympathy horseshit. Don't pretend he didn't know he'd be treated differently. That's exactly what he wanted

@ it could be a bit of both. I’m going to be real though, I don’t even remember typing this. I was high on painkillers after coming out of a near death surgery. I was probs looking at some dark stuff lol
I am quite scared for this man. The procedures he does become more and more really severe mutilations and he feels the urge to do more and more. There is no way he feels physically well in this body. This is slow self destruction.
I came in here for shock value, and towards the end, I was heartfelt. Anthony seems like a genuine guy, who others see as lost, but in truth, he is finding himself. I wish him luck and joy in rest of his life.
I never understood this 'finding yourself'. That is an internal process, you don't change your exterior to something that it never has been, in order to find yourself.
@@coaiemandushman1079 Me neither and feel the same. def an internal process imo. but too each his own. really dont get the finger amputation(s) tho (i mean i dont get none of it... but think its really dumb to get one's fingers off for cosmetic purposes)... But like the comment about - came here for "shock value" but instead found "heartfelt"... Anthony seems like a really chill and genuine guy just off this interview.
He is trying to find himself in wrong places. What he's looking for is deep inside of him, he'll never find it by changing his outside appearance. He's going to keep looking, keep changing his looks and he'll never stop till he dies
@@conniekabasharira7084 I agree with you. But is that really a bad thing? Whatever anyone is looking for deep within themselves, be it peace, fullness, oneness, enlightenment, deep satisfaction, full contentment, fulfillment, etc, the higher goal you set, the tougher it gets. And usually, people set the bar to the maximum when it comes to this sort of thing, and that, in my opinion, is akin to being or becoming a Buddha. This is where I'd value the journey over the goal, since the goal is impossibly high.
Fascinating documentary! In the beginning of the video, I was kind of shocked by Anthony’s looks, but by the end, I didn’t notice his appearance because I felt I saw his heart. And that is the real Anthony. ❤
I once met a dude with a prosthetic leg. He said he lost his leg more than a decade prior. I said “So you’re probably used to it now.” He said “No. I want my leg back. This sucks every day.”
I saw a vid about a guy with two prosthetic legs and he could change them out depending on what he was doing. Even climbed Everst. He took the idea that he now was physically superior to people with their original legs because of all the different leg variants for different situations he had.
@@wwt17 That's the thing, real legs are much better than any prosthetics because of their versatility, whether you want to swim, climb a mountain, dance, jump, run, but he needs to constantly change prosthetics for this. Natural legs are the best.
@@braack4859Well he is harming HIMSELF. And I am not so sure that some other mentally unstable person might not be influenced. Look at how much make believe nonsense people are doing now with greedy doctors who have no scruples.
Excellent documentary! I like Anthony. He seems like a really likeable/lovable person. He's not grooming kids and he's just living his life for him. God bless him and Arthur Bruel. I'd love to be friends with both men as they each have a big heart and lovely personalities.
I love how Arthur so quickly started to feel affection for the person inside Anthony not the alien appearance he's given himself. Anthony is teaching us all how to love each other for ourselves no matter what we look like. I hope he survives the alterations he's having made to his body as the people doing them are not qualified or trained & are potentially risking his life with each of the procedures. Be safe Anthony & be yourself, you seem like a good man.
@monsieurmonsteryou couldn’t be more wrong if you tried. Ant is the most chilled and confident guy I know. He just knows what he wants and uses his body as a canvas. It may be extreme to others sure, but it doesn’t make him a bad or weak person. Far from it actually.
This was so beautiful to watch. Thank you for taking time out to show a detailed and human side of Anthony. He seems like a really nice guy with a good heart. Thank you!
he said he's in the wrong body...but he's still in the same body and that will never change no matter how much he changes what that body looks like, its still the same one

Having a friend left with no choice but to have his leg amputated from the knee. He lives with constant pain on the stump after walking small distances and sores really no one should wish this!
key part you lost focus on, they had NO CHOICE Anthony wants this, phantom pains are entirely mental as theres literally nothing physically there, caused by missing and desiring yourself as "whole" or intact. he views himself as deformed naturally, this is himself in his head. he has nothing to miss or regret, no pressure, just his lifes goal besides.... IF you had a point, don't you think we'd have gotten some indication in this video where he's already had his fingers removed?...
@@bloodlove93Having pain on the stump is not phantom pain. It's pain in the part of the leg still there caused by unpreventable nerve damages. It can take many years for nerve damages to heal. Then it's really hard for people to get off from strong pain medication which they have needed for years.
Same my friend is depressed and has gained weight because she can't work out like she used to. She just got a bbl a boob job and a tummy tuck. I hope she stops there. I can't imagine what it's like for her to be missing half her leg tho so I would never judge.
My husband lost his left leg in a motorcycle accident 22 years ago. It's no joke. His entire life has been negatively affected - to see someone who wants to voluntarily amputate a leg makes me ill.
The compassion in the documentary was really touching. Anthony is obviously a sweet guy.. What frustrates me is there was no real delving into his psyche. Why a black alien? He has turned himself into something that does not reflect who he is on the inside at all, so why? He states it is art, an expression of himself, but the interviewer didn't ask, why not a different type of expression? Where did he get the idea from? Is he science fiction nerd? Does he believe aliens are coming? When did he get the idea to do it? Why did he not want to be like everyone else? What were his ambitions growing up? Does he regret it? What about the pain and health difficulties he will have when he is older? WHY does he not think of the future? Did he always not want children? Why was he travelling when his dad was sick? Does he tend to run away from things, or was he busy with his modifications? Or does he not deal with his emotions? I was moved by their friendship and glad I got to see how he is such a nice guy. But I left with more questions than before I watched it. I realise the interviewer is not a psychologist, so I think any decent interview of Anthony needs to be with one. I don't think this is okay to do this to yourself and I feel sad for him.
Well please continue to explain with an example, since multiple periods at the end of a sentence means that the thought does not end (it is to be continued and elaborated further)
I Agree Wish he would have sought mental health first And Prayed, Before making that first ever change, Because once he did he went down the rabbit hole And Started loving the Attention, no Matter the pain he causes himself ❤️🙏🏽🕊
Personally it's a cry for help. I remember when I was so angry and deeply hurt, I took it out on my hair! I have no disgust or hate towards him only sadness.
@@reinorris5148If you see a child playing with a knife trying to hurt themselves you will try to help them. As an adult it can get difficult to ask for help but one can still see clear signs where a person maybe in need of help. @@Whocares158 It is not his body, it is his covenant from God, and it is our duty to preserve it and not to eat or drink anything that will harm it, so what about cutting off a finger, toe, nose, or ear? Something is seriously wrong with Anthony. He needs a psychological evaluation and therapy to help him heal whatever is hurting him inside 😢 it is so sad he was such a handsome man. Also shame on those damn “doctors” they deserve jail time, because Anthony is mentally ill. He has to be. No sane person would do this.
I am so glad I watched this. It honestly changed my thinking in a big way. It really got me when he got upset and had to call his grandma. Great video.
I guess people should be allowed to commit suicide since it's their life??? Since when was self mutilation become something to promote? Even your life isn't yours, you owe everything you are to the people around you , the generations before you and the ones unborn.
I was born with a missing limb, it has never bothered or really affected my life in any way. Great family, great friends, great wife, great career .... I do find it weird that anyone would want to volunteer to cut off something inherently useful, but you do you
Such an insightful documentary, anthony is such an open indivudual and arthurs ability to build a relationship with him is so heart warning. From new york ❤
I thought it was very touching, too. I think this guy just sees his body as a giant piece of living art, and becoming whatever the “black alien” is to him, is his ultimate art project. I’m sure there’s more to it psychologically underneath, but I understand what he, at least, is claiming.
What a great documentary you did on Anthony! I found myself tearing up as i learned about Anthony and his inner strength and beauty. What a strong individual he is and he would make an awesome friend to have. Thank you for this ❤
People shouldn’t hate on this guy, people are free to do whatever they want and if this is really what makes Anthony happy, just let him be!! So what if you don’t agree? What if your confused teenager saw his social media and was affected by him finding himself through self harm?wanted to be cool and attractive like him?(as the young girls called him in the video)it's not just tatoos and piercings..it's literally butchering! "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." If the majority of people in the world did extreme body modifications, and it was considered mainstream, then perhaps our subjective evaluation of beauty would conform to that different beauty aesthetic. He seems like a beautiful human being to me because his personality is so authentic and I really admire that.
I just had a nose surgery for sinus and I’m over here bandage uped on my nose and I can’t imagine the pain he had to go through just to have a nose like that
He really needs mental help, which he might never seek. No normal, happy person would want to deform and amputate their own body, just for the sake of physical appearance. Wanting to amputate his own leg is certainly very dark and morbid. He obviously likes the attention he gets, but at what cost? It seems he lacks the genuine companionship, acceptance, and care that the interviewer showed him, maybe this is what made him go to extremes, just to get someone to notice him...? There seems to be a deep sadness/brokenness behind the outer facade. Our desire to be loved and appreciated, can sometimes take a dark and unhealthy turn...
It is his desire to represent his feelings in this manner. A statement, his art, he is his own canvas. A lot of people do worse more poisonous things to their own bodies, it’s just that we can’t see it or it is hidden.
I think you're right. It's probably some extreme form of gender/body dysphoria. But is there a psychologist that is actually able to help and cure him? I think not. I have read that a lot of gender dysphoria people are somewhere on the autism spectrum.
I'm not a psychiatrist but he needs therapy because he's clearly mentally hurting himself, this is probably connected with his regret and loneliness, so maybe this is his own punish to accept himself, but at the same time people shouldn't discriminate him because first thing first inside he is still a person and also I think that those harsh comments are fueling his desire to become even more alien looking
I was thinking the exact same thing. People like that can find a way to justify any of their own actions while finding any way to condemn someone else's that they disagree with.
It has less to do with goals, because the goal is not an end in itself. If the man were the only person in the world, he would certainly not strive for such a body modification! he is interested in standing out from the crowd, getting attention, and enhancing his ego ...simply a sick individualism
This video touched me in so many levels, and it touched a lot of issues within myself. Thank you for sharing❤️ just became a follower blessings, and I loved how emotional you got in defending him.

I really appreciated this documentary in showing even more of the real Anthony behind the image. A man following his calling despite the nay sayers. I would be concerned however if he does follow through with his leg, I wish you had explored the 'end game' with him a little more and dug into the impacts it could have on his physical well being.

Yeah, like…..he could use a friend, like a real pal that doesn’t makes u feel alone ❤️🩹 That was my impression too
But he has a girlfriend.
Same feeling here 😢
He can’t put his finger on why either 😂
It's because he lost himself to the dark realm whilst continuing to live as a human. Tragedy to defile one's own body
He is so friendly, he seems to have a gentle heart! My experience with some people that look "scary" is the harder they look the softer is their soul 😊
Because they are lost, they have a problem with self-acceptance and they hide under a shell
YES!! I was just saying that. There's a heavily modded guy that I know here locally and he's just been hurt very badly in the past. It's like armour: "don't come near me. stay away" but really their hearts are so gentle. I'm hoping this might help people understand.
He's mentally unwell

That’s exactly what I was thinking but it’s 2023 so everyone has to be up in someone’s business having an opinion instead of shutting the fuck up and having a seat like they should be

I once met a dude with a prosthetic leg. He said he lost his leg more than a decade prior. I said “So you’re probably used to it now.” He said “No. I want my leg back. This sucks every day.”
Its too bad that the reallly nice bio-mechatronic legs that Hugh Herr designs aren't more affordable, they are incredible.

Why do u Tattooed your Whole Body? You Yourself U Didn't Accept yourself How Do u Think Ppl will Accept u
@@justmagaji Tattoos are fun, they are not done because people don't accept themselves, I know plenty of medical professionals that have tattoos for example
I’m a male and it’s the same feeling, everyone act scared or ignore me when they see me, people really sucks
@@Ki11ah_pips nah it's your tattoos that sucks
@@Ki11ah_pips I don't have any tattooes and I agree, people suck. But they can be allowed to suck, you don't need to entangle yourself with the ones who suck, just find a few who don't.
I feel so bad for this man. How much is from mental illness and how much is from rebellion against the norm or just a severe case of narcissism only God knows. The day of regret is going to be so painful. Breaks my heart. He was so handsome before he did this to himself.
I was really shocked by his appearance at first! He was a beautiful man and I can’t imagine wanting to look the way he does now. That’s me though. If he likes himself now then more power to him! He seems like a really sweet guy and his personality wins. Awesome job!
It was awesome to actually see the real person he is. He seems so chill.
This is so crazy, there's no way anyone can agree with him doing this his body. His mental health is not okie, he needs help with that mindset.
He doesn't like people, which is completely fine. But cultivates this look which invites stares and makes it so he can never just blend in with the crowd and go unnoticed. It's counterproductive in that sense.
Maybe it’s a bizarre coping skill? Or a way to “one-up” the people he feels both “rejected by” and perhaps superior to?
Watching Anthony's pics for the first time was kinda impressive to me and to be honest it took me some time to try to understand why such extreme modifications, but is not to understand is just to let others be, he seemed very closed in other interviews I watched previously, I could see in this one he is a very perceptive guy. He seems to be a very cool guy
Amazing work!! Very interesting topic and captivating throughout! Congrats to everyone involved in this high quality documentary 👏 I’ll keep an eye on channel4 and Arthur Bruel next adventure (such a talent!) 🤩
¡Sí, me gustaría ver más de este presentador por aquí!
Sensível, camarada, educado e gentil.
Há muita gente tão bonita e por dentro não têm metade das qualidades desse ser humano. Parabéns a todos! Muito bom!!!
My mother once said don't judge a book by its cover
Doctors who performed these surgeries need to go to jail
Are you dumb ?! Those are NOT doctors ! 🤦🏻♂🤦🏻♂🤦🏻♂ It's even explained in the video
The body mod dude made a quite valid point.
Why ????? It’s just body modification
@shaenamarvich8312 Although I personally cannot agree with guys like him just being able to remove healthy body parts, he had somewhat of a point. Especially when he mentioned genitaI surgeries. They're allowed but they're absolute butchery. But they make doctors tons of money. They benefit from these confused, troubled people.
Not these days.. that would mean troon doctors would go to jail .. and we need all these stunning and brave people around
Wow, what an incredible documentary! I was completely captivated by the life story depicted and the strong bond between Arthur and Anthony. Their friendship was truly heartwarming. Arthur Bruel, you seem like an amazing person! Can we be friends too? Also, the soundtrack was phenomenal! I was particularly taken by the last song. Could someone kindly tell me the name of that track?
This comment section is so positive and beautiful 🙂 much love to all of you and to everyone in the documentary ❤
I'm not sure how I feel about his transformation, but on the other hand I don't think I'm entitled to feel one way or another about it. Does he need mental support? I don't know, maybe, I don't really know his story. Does he harm anybody? No. Does he deserve respect? Hell yes! He seems like a very nice guy, and I'd love to talk to him not because of his weird look but because he sounds like an interesting person, with very interesting stuff to tell. You don't have to agree with his choices to respect him.
I must confess that I found this interview pretty moving and I'm glad I watched it: appearances are deceiving.
Underneath it all, his heart shines through everything. That’s all that should matter.
But he's not Comfortable with his body
What a wonderful, Very well expressed documentary, loved the host and his ability to be openminded. his approach is so welcoming
Great work! It’s very easy to judge and hard to see the story behind a “rara avis”. Thank you for sheding light on a human story 🎉
Seems like a kind man and these two had real rapport great interview.
The lady giving him a lecture at 10:16 about how he will end up in hell for altering his body has earrings in her ears. Does that mean she will end up in hell too? As far as I know, that's also a body modification, just like tattoos. :D
Exactly. Shes such a hypocrite
Real love is not to tolerate everything
He seems like a free-spirited and happy guy. I like him already.
Would you like him without his modifications and tattoos as well?
He doesn't seem happy at all. He seems lonely and seeking...
Happy people don't want to cut their legs off.
@@katn1952well thats hes doing for basically ruining hes own life like that. Sorry but its the truth for that reason..
Thank you for the documentary!! I like the way you interacted here.. Best wishes and perfect health!!
