The fact that you can buy admin ranks, and that they're not being abused 24/7 is shocking. You can literally destroy these servers, but everyone collectively agrees to just... not. Honestly they probably don't even have frequent backups.
I imagine there's three reasons why these servers don't get instantly annhilated by their absurd ranks: 1.The admin ranks are a partial scam. While you do get some of the commands advertised with the rank, other commands will not work like what happened in Skybars. 2.The server requires you to have a somewhat legitamate reason for banning someone. The servers are likely ruthlessly efficient when it comes to shutting down mass-banners. 3.You can literally pay to become immune to these ban commands. I imagine the only thing keeping this fact in check is Reason #2, otherwise the server would be unplayable.
The reason that it doesn't happen is because most people who buy them do it to gain an advantage in their game play (like getting free gear) on the server and don't care about others
Because admin is not actually the highest rank, it's owners, if admin buddy messing around, the guy with the console can just derank them without refund, that maybe the only thing keep them in check.
It's a scam, you get only donate called op, which is admin but so restricted: you can't ban more than 7 days (as example), a high cooldown to ban, give donate only 3 times and only low ranks which is even doesn't have /gm 1 permission
I speak russian and used to watch a lot of russian content, and I do think that the main reason such servers are popular is because of youtubers and streamers playing/owning them. A lot of popular content is made on these servers, and as they are cracked it costs nothing for a 9 year old to create an account and streamsinpe and interact with their streamers, who pretty much encourage this. Idk how relevant it is rn, but there used to be a lot of videos of ccs who are also server owners where they spectate and troll casual players, so many players probably also wanted to be part of that.
yeah fr, its all because of grief channels which have 5-10 milion subs, it works like 100 players civ event, people see how others play, they want to be like them then they join server and it starts ( but there's no donate), its really op way to gain money through those kiddos I think it can be changed in the future because servers like mineshield or ppl gain popularity in really quick way
I'm even ashamed of the fact that we don't have enough servers, even that makes me disgusted. I live in Russia, and I've seen servers like this that you'd better not see.

As a Russian who is personally familiar with all these servers, I want to answer the question: "why do people play on them?". As far as I know, we don't have large normal servers right now. There was one - Prostocraft, but it was literally destroyed by TLauncher. They added the ip to the blacklist, so it was impossible to log in from their launcher. After all, this is the most popular launcher in Russia, online has fallen from 2000 to 200. That's it
Что уж говорить про то, что тлаунчер на самом деле был украден у изначальных разработчиков, которых ещё и пытались засудить. Хорошо что от изначальных разработчиков у нас сейчас есть Legacy Launcher...
Hi, funny video, but such servers we have in Russia unfortunately 95%. It's a pity that you showed just this side of Ru servers. After all, we have quality, cool servers with technologies that are not used in the West. And with games that you do not have and never had).
Ok, I gotta point something out: The reason behind these types of servers being popular is due to the lack of choice for a specific group of players - players on pirated versions of Minecraft. Almost no big servers outside of Russia supports pirated versions of the game, but this server in particular and many others copypasted from it or from other classic version do, meaning around 60% of Russian players (stats being taken from polls a Russian TH-cam creator made) can't play ay other server (including me, although i managed to find some high-quality servers, there are far less people on them because no p2w = no money = no ads in a pirated launcher menu = low likelihood of new players ever finding out about this server) Edit 1: yeah, it has captcha for this exact reason
Well, bro's tried to get L for their servers. Sadly, our p2w servers got so smart rank system, that you can't make anything with cheap ranks, and even max rank can't give you option to literally crash server.
Pretty sure this video is a "I did this so you don't have to" type of thing. TheMisterEpic paid for ranks that give you admin powers on pay-to-win servers so we don't have to.
It's a toxic cesspool that was created by toxic youtubers. In a distant 2010, the era when TH-cam just began to be widely available worldwide, content creators in Russia were the same as in USA or Europe - just a bunch of dudes who play games and upload their Let's Plays to YT. They were simple with little to no edits and mostly focused on them just playing and enjoying the game. Minecraft community was the same, simple but peaceful community, like the one that was forming all around the world at the time. And then came one rich idiot who somehow (mostly through the power of money) became popular. He started saying "летсплеер хуже п***аса" ("being letsplayer is worse than being gay") and dumb little kids started to repeat after him, destroying the peaceful community that was just forming on TH-cam. They started to dislike every video made by let's players, bully them, invade their servers and grief them. This wave of idiocy touched even those who uploaded tutorials on redstone and building. Many TH-camrs just dropped at that time and never returned. In protest of that some people ironically started to record their "griefing" videos. Which became VERY popular among dumb kids. Then there were even more griefing. Someone started to create anti-griefing videos and... His idea was completely stolen by another popular rich idiot who created "анти грифер шоу" (anti-griefing show), in which, contrary to the name (because the original rich idiot at the time started saying "это всё пост-ирония была, вы не понимаете" - "it was post-irony, you didn't understand"), he was just griefing on a lot of servers. As you can imagine - it led to even more griefing. Eventually this downward spiral ended here. In a pool of toxic youtubers who are creating "content" for even more toxic community. If you can't wrap your head around how that was possible - imagine Logan Paul becoming very popular in 2010 (like getting more than 100 million subscribers) and starting shitting on let's players. You got your builder Grian and redstone mastermind Mumbo? Imagine them being bullied to submission by a swarm of stupid kids who don't know better than just stupidly saying shit Logan Paul said in his video. You remember Yogscast? Imagine them, but led by Doni Bobes, of all people. And imagine Doni Bobes as even meaner youtuber. You remember PewDiePie? Imagine him being bullied by stupid kids at the start of his career and stopping, never achieving anything and falling to obscurity, becaming deranged by the unability to creatively express himself and deleting his channel. And imagine that everyone popular on TH-cam are friends of Logan Paul, catering to stupid kids by creating toxic content and never even trying to become better than that. Because those who tried - drowned in this toxicity. That's the reality one popular rich idiot created. Literal opposite of yours. Welcome to Russian TH-cam gaming scene. We are not happy here.

I am a Russian speak, and I play on “Russian” servers. The reason why it is so easy to buy the ability to ban others is that there is a huge influx of griefers among Russian-speaking players. And.. Oddly enough, “Distributing weapons” (crossed) banhammers to everyone solves this problem. But, of course, only if there is some kind of paywall. If you recruit admins and moderators for surveillance yourself, then this will not be enough. Typically, Russian-language servers (Minecraft, Gmod and other games) where admins manually select admins/moderators suffer from constant raids by griefers, which the admins do not have time to deal with. Prices that seem small for residents of Europe/USA are noticeable for Russian-speaking players. And in their culture, it’s not very typical to pay for anything. Therefore, if someone pays, then he tries to maintain the privilege, and does not just ban. In short, for “Russian” players, having a pay-wall is a big responsibility. But you have to constantly play with screen recording turned on (OSB/NVIDIA/AMD software) in order, if something happens, to prove the validity of the ban if the griefer tries to convince the admin that the ban was issued for no reason. And vice versa, in case someone bans for no reason, but allegedly indicates the correct reason

Damn, didn't expect my country to be there lol. The sad truth is that this is just a grain of sand in a desert, especially since you now can't even buy a licensed copy of a game in Russia officially
Hi! I'm from Russia and I want to explain about the servers that were shown in your video. Most of such servers like minebars and others are echoes of 2015-17, when Minecraft completely captured the Runet and everyone began to make servers because it was very profitable. Children both then and now spend a lot of money on donations on similar servers. And they are popular because in Russia about 99 out of 100 people play pirated Minecraft. And in the most popular launcher Tlauncher (be careful there are viruses in it) they are in the list of servers initially, so instead of looking for normal servers, users choose these servers. But the more adult community still prefers private servers to which it is necessary to buy a pass. The most popular of these are СП, Subshield and pepeland.
I'm guessing that 'actually buying Minecraft in Russia' is probably a bit difficult nowadays (sanctions etc), so it doesn't surprise me that these sorts of cracked servers are popular over there.
cracked mc is popular in pretty much any, let's say, "less than good" countries. the game is rather expensive for people unlucky enough to be born in crappier places

As someone who speaks russian, there are hundreds of small private smp servers, with player count usually less than 10-20 and players just play there with their friends. There is also a popular Mineshield server (russian analogue to Hermitcraft)
Как же я люблю заходить в комментарии англоязычных ютуберов. Достаточно один раз упомянуть русских и вот уже каждый второй комментарий это "As a Russian..."
The funny thing is that on the first server (when you banned and muted some random guys) you got banned only because you muted a guy for a reason of using hacks. Normally you should ban people for that and since you used a mute instead - you got banned.
Yes, there are a lot of such servers, but only schoolchildren play on them. I can recommend one Russian server "Cristalix", a big project with its own modes, I advise you to play

As a russian, I don't think any normal people play these servers, most of the players are just kids who don't have access to normal servers or don't have friends to play with.
The Mega Vulture Beta is the funniest thing I've ever seen. The word Grief or Гриф in Russian has 3 actual meanings and a garbage zoomer one. The zoomer one is Grief but the other two are... *insert drum roll here* A vulture. A fret of a guitar. And a super obscure word that is only used in the Russian equivalent of the phrase "top secret"
I used to play on cracked Russian servers when I was young and couldn't buy Minecraft for myself. The donation stuff was ALWAYS in your face, and in some cases you couldn't even play on the server normally if you didn't donate. I was waiting for some big YTer to cover these, brings a smile to my face. If you're wondering, there's also MysteryWorld, DexLand and a few others that are automatically added to your server list if you play with TLauncher, and they're just as bad as the two servers covered here.
Can't agree more. I was playing on Magic. MC or smth and had one 40y old dude literally harass me with his privileges like tp'ing me to him and killing, destroying my privates house, 0'ing my skills progression and muting me for weeks. And the funny part is that actual admins didn't do anything cuz he was their friend. Truly a Russian moment 💀💀
I think Teslacraft might be the best russian server. I thought players banning giving mute is normal. The last 3 degrees (general, Marshall, Imperator) have temporary, constant ban, and can mute and kick. But the server records everything, administration both all the helpers watch any suspicious, illegal activity. If any punished you for nothing, you probably don't even need to have any proofs for it to report on them on the forum. If they don't have proofs, ban on you will be nullified, the lawbreaker gets a warn, and a long ban. 4th warn of this type results in forever ban(the one that can be canceled but not nullified by donation) and you not being able to kick, mute or ban. No mischievous commands are there.
DexLand also stands out in that a few years back, it had a really serious predator problem. There was one user who wasn't banned for a solid YEAR despite him basically soliciting female players for nudes with the promise of buying them a free "Owner" rank. You know, PLAYERS WHO WERE MOSTLY TEENS AND PRETEENS?! He was basically spamming global server chat with, translated: "Girlies, I can buy you an Owner rank for completing a small task for me. All details in private messages". And that's not getting into how the warp list has at least one ERP spot every wipe period, due to the ability to set public warp points coming with one of the ranks.
excalibur craft, I literally got banned for reporting someone I'd known for a week, he stole all my resources, but it wasn't him that got banned, it was me because it was an acquaintance of a moderator....
as a russian id never expect you out of all ppl to do a vid about those servers (and the game mode at 2:29 is "mega grief beta") also a reminder: the cost for the max rank is around 2 monthly average paychecks
As a Russian, I can confirm that 99% of the servers doesn't require the license and pay-to-win. But not all servers as shitty as servers from the video. More popular and wealthy servers have their own launcher and you need to register on their website to play. They offer game modes like mini games or modded survival with big modpacks like tech or magic. And the last type is kinda unique, they got me into modded Minecraft and I haven't heard about their analogues in the global community.
P2W is a normal practice on russian servers and i know that because i played on them back when i had the cracked client. I've seen a lot of those where you can buy ranks to ban/mute other players, /op yourself, become a staff nember and many more bad stuff. Also that DomerGrief guy makes Anti-Grief Show videos, which became a meme in Russia already. They involve kids (and also sometimes parents of the kids) being paid to act like complete idiots (basically they make fun of them). Those videos often go like that: This guy finds those who "adopt" players The kid kills the the "anti-griefer" guy And then the "anti-griefer" trolls this kid by removing their house using WorldEdit, destroying blocks in front of their eyes and other stuff.
as a russian minecraft player, this server is most disgusting server in russian community of minecraft, The owner of this server, make this "server" just for money, his chanel - MrDomer
Fun fact. In English people usually think of non-cracked servers as normal, while the cracked servers are outliers. But in Russian, people think of cracked servers as the norm, and normal servers are called "licensed" servers. As a Russian, I have never once in my entire life seen a Russian "licensed" server
так проблема этих серверов в том что они все по инвайтам, покажи хоть один нормальный пиратский/лицензионный сервер без инвайтов. Правильно, ты их не найдешь.
well, as a russian ,I’ll say, that servers like that(with ability to buy ranks, that can ban/ mute etc.) exist for like 10 years, and the have been dying(losing popularity )since 2015 i guess. So when i see a server, in which I can buy some rank, that gives me power - I leave this serever, because most minecraft players are kids, and you never know what they can do
Indeed, most Russian servers are like that, but there are servers like SP or Pepeland, and these are really good servers that many people are willing to play on considering that you have to pay for access to the server. (This is not an advertisement as these are really big projects that don't need it).
Я не ожидал что школосерв какого то ноунейма назовут "Очень известным" I did not expect that some nameless school server would be called “Very Famous” (sorry, I used a translator so something may be wrong)
I've spent quite a lot of time on such servers and I can tell you why there are so many of them. The fact is that Russians are much less solvent due to lower salaries. The average Russian is unlikely to spend $ 10 on a donation on a Minecraft server if he opens access, conditionally, only to cosmetic improvements. In order to pay for hosting, development costs, advertising, etc., most server owners have to choose 2 ways of development - either to make access to the server paid, or to give players with a donation an incredible advantage over others. 😔
I actually don't think I've heard your voice in non-voice over mode before, even though I've watched countless videos. In that segment near the very end where you banned the guy building a base, you sounded WAY more Aussie than you do in voice overs, you almost sounded like a different person (tbh as an Aussie myself I think I prefer it)
I'm Ukrainian, but I spent most of my minecraft gaming on russian-speaking servers as a child. When I went on a new server, I found that it's something like this - a P2W, microtransaction-filled nightmare. I didn't have any money or a credit card back then (neither was I willing to buy anything anyway), so I got rather lucky. Which is why I kept playing since around 2015-2017 this one server called Deniscraft (later renamed to MXMC). It was a creative plot style server, which was enough for me since I loved (and still do) creative mode. It was so much better compared to all the other ones. Everyone played on the creative plots despite Skywars, Bedwars, etc. being available. There were ranks, yes, but not only did I see them being insanely priced, they didn't provide any OP advantage. The main allure of these ranks were: 1 - more plots (so you can claim more land), and 2 - more WorldEdit commands. I think that might have been the most well-done implementation of ranks I've seen on a russian-speaking server. Was absolutely not required, had a great experience over several years without having purchased a single thing, and still provides benefits. I think about Deniscraft sometimes. Died out around 2019-2020. What pains me even more, is that now I want to talk to the people who were there. One guy, Zedmetkyj I believe was his name, I still have friended on Discord, but the rest are either deleted accounts or just don't use Discord anymore. Sad.
i think i remember deniscraft because it was notorious for having no anticheat at all, and my 9 year old ass mained it solely because it allowed nodus's flight without kicking me.
As a Russian who haven't played Minecraft for 4-5 years i'm geniunely horrified about what these multiplayer servers had become. Unlicensed servers weren't so chaotic. Guess it happened cuz of generational change
Been watching you for a while now. I am Russian myself and I’ve been waiting, and I really mean that, for you to check out those straight up trash Russian servers.
Oh yeah, these servers. Какая же ностальгия! (What a nostalgia!) For russian servers it's pretty common to have this setup of 10+ donation ranks and weird survival worlds where you can do anything, even marry people. The stuff with /ban is pretty normal here. I even once had a server that allowed you to have a rank Анти-читер (Anti-cheater) just for playing the game for long enough. And this anti-cheater could ban and mute people and some other commands
Hate to see this being a common thing in our servers... I played on one of these once, and...it was a fucking mess. No admins whatsoever, p2w players banning other p2w players just because of the broken mechanic of one of the ranks that lets you change ur username to a random one...Jesus, our servers DO need the likes of you, guys.
Those servers is where Russian (not just Russian but basically from all around post Soviet Union) players get their first multiplayer experience. Unwilling to buy official copy of the game and seeing no official russian servers, they hop on whatever server their cracked Minecraft launcher offers. I believe the average age of players on such servers is 9-10 years old. I myself had an introduction to multiplayer on a such server 10 years ago and it was as chaotic and shady as it is today. I still remember how much fun I had playing there. I met countless people, had many roles, went through various situations. Sure, playing there is unsafe, especially for children as some illegal information can be spread uncontrollably and personal data can be stolen. But most players will be left with good memories no matter what.
i speak russian and a couple years ago i used to watch a lot of russian content on youtube, and based on all the servers i played this type of permissions is just the case everywhere. awesome video!
I used to play on these when I was much younger. In Russia it's extremely unpopular to even have licensed Minecraft. And most parents will not buy it for their kids, because why would you buy it, when you can already play it for free. Money in Russia is also a big problem, if it's not necessary, we won't buy it. 200 dollars a month will make you cautious of how you spend your money. It's why piracy is so rampant in here. I am glad I learned english, and got off the russian servers for good. Although I join some of the old ones from time to time, to see how things are nowadays and I'm always left disappointed.
I don't know how many russians're watching your channel, but i was surprised to see russian servers here. Most of russian servers indeed cracked money-farms but we also have good SMP's like "СП5"(licensed + payed whitelist to get rid of unwanted players) "MineShield"(licensed, hermicraft like) "PepeLand"(licensed + payed whitelist to get rid of unwanted players) there're more but they best i guess
there are also a lot of good and almost vanilla Russian servers. One of them is a "СП", a server of the twitch streamer 5opka, quite well known in narrow circles.
As russian speaking myself, i understand these servers this way: In russia, and nearby regions, the piracy is incredibly popular, basically only small % are actually buying minecraft as intended, these kids who's playing minecraft on these "youtuber servers" didnt even know that minecraft isn't free, they usually downloading "Tlauncher" (the one that full of viruses and trackers), and just playing on it. Therefore, to have atleast some security measures on servers, there's /reg, captcha's, etc. The "Domer grief" youtuber you've mentioned, as you can see, is aiming at 5 year olds, so they would waste their money on some bullshit perks, items, anything just to drain money of them. I've were pirate myself, but i know i had to buy minecraft, and only then i realized how good servers can be, (i dont saying there's no good pirate servers, but it really tough to find 'em). So practically, 7 year old can't say "Can you buy me minecraft" which is 2000 rubles (quite alot of money, even if teen would ask), or whatever price rn. But he can ask for 50 rubles, for some shitty money draining perk on bs server. I hope that explained just abit better something to you.
i think the ammount of paynment for something should be universally the same ammount, so if theres something that costs 13 dollaris, then it costs 13 元.

I'm Russian. I remember as a kid being gifted 10k rubles (around 150 dollars back then, it was a lot for a kid like me) and spending half of it on ranks on Minecraft servers. Basically being a nuisance -- teleporting to people and pasting dicks near/in their bases (good times). Basically, the reason why you play those servers is to annoy the hell out of people if you have some money, and why peeps who don't donate play them is because they're cracked, popular and Russian, so basically if you can't buy Minecraft you can play them (with sanctions it's even more prevalent as a reason, although it's still pretty easy to buy Minecraft kids are less likely to know how to bypass sanctions and more likely to know how to donate to server since they're explicitly told how to on them).
You know, as a person who used to play on these servers less than just half a decade ago I can outline some reasoning: Here are 2 obvious things: 1) They're cracked 2) Most people are kids, also often times (this applied to me a lot) they play to get a rank somehow without paying. But most importantly 1) Tlauncher - probably where most of their audience comes from, Tlauncher automatically adds these to your server list over time without even asking. 2) Their kids youtuber plays on these and they do so too, Hypixel and other premium servers are a distant thing in slavic kid's public consciousness. 3) And probably the biggest one of them all, russian culture. I'm biased as a Ukrainian a lot, but I can't unsee ut. It's just all like that, unregulated, stepping on everyone's heads, janky and acting on everyone around it. And why buy a 100$ rank instead of a licensed game? As already mentioned a lot of people don't actually care for it, and from my personal experience and asking why, most of them feel power and actually like this whiole mess and the best I can describe it is weird dedication to these.
yeah you described it very well it's complete insane unregulated chaos, it can be very annoying to play on these servers sometimes, because of arrogant players with high ranks and a bunch or friends also with high ranks, if you don't have power there and you will get in their way, they will bully you a lot, but if you embrace the fact that this is like some sort of weird "survival anarchy", as I call it. And you are willing to play there, because you still have fun there and a lot of your friends play there, you can also have fun, not by bullying, but by creating an utter chaos there (if you like it of course). I'm also Ukrainian btw, and I had a lot of fun on these servers, simply because I wasn't playing by their rules. Most of the time though, I tried to not break any rules I was like a normal player, so everytime, a high rank dude with his friends will try to bully me or my friends, for breaking rules (when I didn't even break them), by banning, muting or wiping our builds, I could use twink accounts to unban myself and ban them in return, I could join 100 bots that would spam something funny, run around spawn, or just crash or lag the server. All these actions could create a ban war on the server, where everyone with ban privilege will try to ban another high rank player just out of paranoia that it's someones twink account, which you will never see anywhere, and this is a very funny experience even just to look at :D I just accepted that it's just a game, and if they will break the rules, I'll also break the rules but in most chaotic and unpredictable way possible, just to show them that I can fight back. I just had fun by showing arrogant people with high ranks, that they can be overpowered even by player who didn't bought any rank. "Survival anarchy" can be very annoying and but also can be very fun, it's just depends.
Believe me, that statuses has only scary name, in mist cases this is like 3 rank from bottom, there are 10 ranks above and they still have powers less, than some redstone youyubers
This is a scam. You get only luckperms group which is called "OP" and have a very restricted rights like //wand only up to 1000 blocks 1 time per hour and only dirt and sand
In good old 2014-2016 days when i used to play these servers after school, everything seemed fine ad normal - all these ranks & donation levels that my parents forbid me to buy. Good video!

I'm badly remember it, but, when i leave in main lobby, i saw a hundreds players with randomless very long nicks. Me quite often chuck out from server, but in around 10-20 minutes attack have been abolished. It's probably not so epic and at all it's boring, but i'm just a talked own story.
this is the exact reason why I left russian MC community. when I was younger and couldnt afford to buy official account, I played on either cracked accounts or the ones that were made by launchers. obviously because I didn't know english well at the time, I was playing on these type of servers. tho, I don't really recall these servers to be THAT p2w before... I guess things have changed since then. I finally bought my own official account in 2017, and I also could speak english a bit better, so since then I started playing on only english-speaking minecraft servers. the exception was when I played on two different private russian-speaking SMP's, on which you can play if you pay some small amount of money, tho on these particular servers there wasn't too much p2w, you could buy ranks which gave you a small list of useful commands to use, some chat prefixes and colors, but that's it. honestly I am very much ashamed how low russian MC community has fallen. I could talk about it for hours, but I just don't want to. it's just so bad.
15:54 actually most of foreign servers has A TERRIBLE ping and literally unplayable here. Also servers like reallyworld are aggressively advertised by T/K/Z/anyotherletterLauncher, so kids just don't know about the existence of good alternatives.
Of writings "access to console, operator ...." I only saw empty promises in the form of advertisement. I don't think anyone having enormous project, would give console access via donation
as a russian, I can say that you chose the worst server that everyone mocks, as well as this TH-camr himself. I like this analysis, you said everything correctly.
The only actually playable Minecraft smp in russian speaking part of Minecraft is private servers with paid access, in most cases it's just vanilla smps, without any privates, ranks and other bullshit. The next in playability is mostly moded servers with their own launchers, there is still donations, but not so terrible. Unfortunately the last time I chek this servers was too many years ago, so i can't be sure it's the same. The rest of servers mostly look like this. This type of servers got most of popularity in the age of antigrifer show. This is trolling videos where admin plays like regular noob on server, finding for help, friend and comrade. He got killed, or "helper" private his house. In the end admin turn on rheir powers and start trolling them. Mostly its staged videos. From here we got legendary videos of "blyaaaaaaa kid", "Minecraft is my life blyat, MINECRAAAAAFT". Of course many kids wanted to become popular from this videos and buy privilegions. With time antigrifer shows lost their popularity, but donations like this become normal and went to other servers. On this servers now plays very young childrens, somebody older more likely go on private servers or minigame servers with good reputation. But the funny thing they still won't buy license for game. By the way Uninstall klauncher, their creators steal accounts from their past launchers. Better use legacy launcher.
As a Russian, there is definitely worse. Some servers had free lucky blocks to try and get free ranks, get upset they couldn't and in the end just buy them. I got a high rank once, and then i was insta-banned by some jealous player that actually spent money on that rank
Yeah, servers here are almost always like that. Tbh sometimes it could be funny. I am a kind of person which breaks everything it touches, so even limited privileges (they are like always false advertised) could not stop me from messing with the server. Maybe I was just lucky, but it's hard to be banned just cuz why not, so I guess even this could be fine. Actually, there are one more interesting layer of servers, which aren't vanilla. These servers are always cracked, using their own, completely separate login system and their own unique launchers. The biggest one I personally know is Cristallix, mostly minigame server, but there are (or at least have been) different ones (it's a network), such as mmorpg server (very similar to Hypixel Skyblock if you want an example), just modpack survivals and many more. Servers like this do require more effort, so they are less greedy and much more fair. One modded server had a lot of limitations, which were created in order to reduce insane lag (dev team did a lot of adjustments to abandoned mods), and just one rank which expands these limits and give you a bit more stuff with zero impact on others. This is the way I like.
5:47 even though you banned this guy for 7 days, the message in chat states he got a 5 minutes ban. And the next person you muted was not for 1 day, but for 15 minutes instead. So it seems ban and mute commands are very limited, for 5 minutes once in a hour
Lol I speak russian and it was just so funny to see the "vulture" mistake in translation Actually I didn't met a single person in my entire life who would actually buy Minecraft client and would not pirate it
Actually the same methods works for an other side too, if you need something, you can get it. I got cod mw22 despite the fact that it and a lot of other games I bought after 2022 unavailable on russian steam,
Funny thing is, i am from Russia and neither me nor any of my friends have ever heard about these servers. So, sadly, their audience actually seems to consist mostly of little kids, that are getting scammed left and right… Sad to see that :(

The fact that you can buy admin ranks, and that they're not being abused 24/7 is shocking. You can literally destroy these servers, but everyone collectively agrees to just... not. Honestly they probably don't even have frequent backups.
I imagine there's three reasons why these servers don't get instantly annhilated by their absurd ranks:
1.The admin ranks are a partial scam.
It's a scam, you get only donate called op, which is admin but so restricted: you can't ban more than 7 days (as example), a high cooldown to ban, give donate only 3 times and only low ranks which is even doesn't have /gm 1 permission
look at 5:47. He tried to ban for 7 days, but banned only for 5 minutes
Idk how relevant it is rn, but there used to be a lot of videos of ccs who are also server owners where they spectate and troll casual players, so many players probably also wanted to be part of that.
yeah fr, its all because of grief channels which have 5-10 milion subs, it works like 100 players civ event, people see how others play, they want to be like them then they join server and it starts ( but there's no donate), its really op way to gain money through those kiddos
I think it can be changed in the future because servers like mineshield or ppl gain popularity in really quick way
mineshield is seriously our only hope
I'm even ashamed of the fact that we don't have enough servers, even that makes me disgusted. I live in Russia, and I've seen servers like this that you'd better not see.

Ok, I gotta point something out:
The reason behind these types of servers being popular is due to the lack of choice for a specific group of players - players on pirated versions of Minecraft. Almost no big servers outside of Russia supports pirated versions of the game, but this server in particular and many others copypasted from it or from other classic version do, meaning around 60% of Russian players (stats being taken from polls a Russian TH-cam creator made) can't play ay other server (including me, although i managed to find some high-quality servers, there are far less people on them because no p2w = no money = no ads in a pirated launcher menu = low likelihood of new players ever finding out about this server)
Edit 1: yeah, it has captcha for this exact reason
The fact that you paid to test out how broken and messed up these perks are means that you kinda ended up falling for their trap in a way...
Well, bro's tried to get L for their servers. Sadly, our p2w servers got so smart rank system, that you can't make anything with cheap ranks, and even max rank can't give you option to literally crash server.

Another name is "Донатная помойка" (donate scrapyard). Also "Донатная помойка" is any pay to win game

I'm guessing that 'actually buying Minecraft in Russia' is probably a bit difficult nowadays (sanctions etc), so it doesn't surprise me that these sorts of cracked servers are popular over there.
nah, it was like that all the time. and scammy tlauncher is the biggest proof
Buying a copy of Minecraft here is actually still pretty easy, since there a lot of shops out there for that kind of stuff.
cracked mc is popular in pretty much any, let's say, "less than good" countries. the game is rather expensive for people unlucky enough to be born in crappier places

Those videos often go like that:
This guy finds those who "adopt" players
The kid kills the the "anti-griefer" guy
And then the "anti-griefer" trolls this kid by removing their house using WorldEdit, destroying blocks in front of their eyes and other stuff.

Fun fact. In English people usually think of non-cracked servers as normal, while the cracked servers are outliers. So when i see a server, in which I can buy some rank, that gives me power - I leave this serever, because most minecraft players are kids, and you never know what they can do
also, second serever was taking steam skins, not steam gift cards
Indeed, most Russian servers are like that, but there are servers like SP or Pepeland, and these are really good servers that many people are willing to play on considering that you have to pay for access to the server. (This is not an advertisement as these are really big projects that don't need it).

The main allure of these ranks were:
1 - more plots (so you can claim more land), and
2 - more WorldEdit commands.

As russian speaking myself, i understand these servers this way:
In russia, and nearby regions, the piracy is incredibly popular, basically only small % are actually buying minecraft as intended, these kids who's playing minecraft on these "youtuber servers" didnt even know that minecraft isn't free, they usually downloading "Tlauncher" (the one that full of viruses and trackers), and just playing on it.

"the Russians stole my girlfriend :(" LMFAOO
Oh boy! I can finally fulfill my drema of having a Russian girlfriend even though I do not speak Russian nor like talking to people I do not know!
You know, as a person who used to play on these servers less than just half a decade ago I can outline some reasoning:
Here are 2 obvious things:
1) They're cracked
2) Most people are kids, also often times (this applied to me a lot) they play to get a rank somehow without paying.
But most importantly
1) Tlauncher - probably where most of their audience comes from, Tlauncher automatically adds these to your server list over time without even asking.
As already mentioned a lot of people don't actually care for it, and from my personal experience and asking why, most of them feel power and actually like this whiole mess and the best I can describe it is weird dedication to these.
yeah you described it very well
it's complete insane unregulated chaos, it can be very annoying to play on these servers sometimes, because of arrogant players with high ranks and a bunch or friends also with high ranks, if you don't have power there and you will get in their way, they will bully you a lot, but if you embrace the fact that this is like some sort of weird "survival anarchy", as I call it.
All these actions could create a ban war on the server, where everyone with ban privilege will try to ban another high rank player just out of paranoia that it's someones twink account, which you will never see anywhere, and this is a very funny experience even just to look at :D
I just accepted that it's just a game, and if they will break the rules, I'll also break the rules but in most chaotic and unpredictable way possible, just to show them that I can fight back. I just had fun by showing arrogant people with high ranks, that they can be overpowered even by player who didn't bought any rank.
"Survival anarchy" can be very annoying and but also can be very fun, it's just depends.

this is the exact reason why I left russian MC community. when I was younger and couldnt afford to buy official account, I played on either cracked accounts or the ones that were made by launchers. obviously because I didn't know english well at the time, I was playing on these type of servers. tho, I don't really recall these servers to be THAT p2w before...
By the way

As a russian speaker, server player and youtube watcher I do know this server AND the youtuber, this video just shows the top of the iceberg,
5:47 even though you banned this guy for 7 days, the message in chat states he got a 5 minutes ban. And the next person you muted was not for 1 day, but for 15 minutes instead. So it seems ban and mute commands are very limited, for 5 minutes once in a hour
