I'd like RR to have more impact for landings, it just feels very soft. Instead of just going downwards at a constant rate, there should be a definitive stomp, and that's where a lot of games fail compared to Skate 3.
I have RR and have not installed it so Im wondering how the controls are. Are they like Skater XL and Session or like skate 3? Just curious befofe I install it incase there is a great update. Thank you kindly 😀

I don't know if you've played it but the replay mode makes the character's landing seem like it doesn't exist but when you play you can see if it lands well, I have a video of what it looks like on PS5 and it looks great
Skate 3 animations look so much better with how the board and skater interacts with the ground.
I personally love the skating in this game. They have really made something special here it feels like skate 3 and Tony hawk pro skater had a baby. No, it’s not the most realistic skateboarding game and I’m still waiting patiently for the new skate. Game. Still need to tweak some of the vert skating mechanics out and they have got to put goofy stance in the game. But this game is great fun in the meantime while we wait for skate and the other sports are a lot of fun also
Also the semi fast travel with the tools are fun man. This game eats my time like ice cream 💟🌌☮️
I think the devs did a great job building on the existing trick system in RR. The ability to do slow flips or spins by barely pushing the stick in a direction is a great addition

riders republic's landing looks so soft and unsatisfying compared to skate's massive stomp.
i just find stomping tricks more satisfying and riders' republic just doesn't have that.
Creature studios needs to hire RR animator.

You can switch stance to make it goofy but it always switches back to regular

Im so disappointed RR didnt incorporate goofy stance into the skate mechanics. If that gets fixed, ill buy it immediately
Being forced to ride regular is the biggest L of RR
@@pukei Their Bread and Butter is Snowboarding. Riders Republic is built off Steep. Every board style game has a goofy feature except this one for no reason
This actually really hurts my interest. I skate goofy and I hate staring at regular footing in games

@@Comfycrab it's pretty much a revert at the beginning but for me it stays that way for some reason after I switch with LB it stays in goofy. I hate the controls lol I was a heavy skate 3 player,to me session,skater XL all are mad hard to adjust to.

RR skateboarding is fun to me. Had to get used to the controls after playin a bunch of sessions
Being someone who loves bmx and skating I can play it all day now that it has skateboards, just hoping they’ll add dirt bikes now

@@robertmcmahon4549 I don't think that means it won't be in here. It will essentially be an alternative to the snowmobile, a faster way to get around since the snowmobile doesn't work off snow. Makes too much sense, and I think it was seen in promo material last year or possibly earlier?

Keep in mind skate 3 was built as a skate only game, RR it’s an add on. Fact we have skateboarding in RR is sick
Would love to see you compare it to Shaun White Skateboarding. I keep seeing people saying they’re reusing some animations from that game, but I have no idea.
If I have a criticism of the animations is that I find it a little “over animated” where the characters style is a bit much and can be kind of distracting. It also looks like when you do a flip trick, once he catches the board there’s like a snap to a generic pose until he hits the ground.

In RR I'd like to do manual freestyle tricks such as spacewalking, perform hippie jumps and truly switch stances (regular to goofy)
The thing that makes Skate 3 look different (and better to me), when the skater lands the camera moves down then up making it feel more "filmed" or more impactful. Looks like RR just hits a wall and is very robotic.
I dont like the controls on RR compared to skate 3. I need a tutorial how to get skate 3 controls on RR
I am frustrated that he didnt show varial heels. I have watched all his videos on RR skating and I can only recall 1 time he did a big heel LMAOO
The camera sucks! Compared to the impact when u land a trick on skate 3! That’s what makes it!

I think the camera in Skate 3 is much cooler, it animates more and reacts better to landing/flipping
Was kinda hoping that we didn't have to buy the skateboard career to play with the skateboard but at least the Vans park is free for everyone.
Riders republic needs a lot of work on the landing animations but other than that their animations look really nice
I dont like how the tricks are caught in RR
I have to say, RR have great animations but i don't like some of the transitions between animations and the landings it feels way to smooth and floaty, i don't know if it has to do with camera works or the animations but my guess is that they reuse some of the systems for the snowboard that's what i feel with the floaty landings, those feels like snowboard landings from the game.
Riders republic needs game modes like spot battle, the same way skate 3 is and SKATE would be fun too
Don’t get me wrong, SKATE was the first and opened the door, but by todays standards it’s just to airy and floaty to be realistic.
Unfortunately RR skating is pretty awful so far, I will try again but it's just a pain to do even the simplest of tricks the controls don't really work either.

RR is fun, but its progression system is terrible. Its gear grind-based, not skill-based. Also 70$, aint happening
