I used to go a lot to Zipolite around 25 years ago and it was totally different in some many positive ways but most of those things died in a few years, it was pure magic back in those days, my favorite place there is actually none of those beaches but Puerto Angel who is I think the only place there that still retains some of that magic. Very good video though I like your style of presenting things.
Oaxaca is often referred to as Mexico's "last coast." When first you feast your eyes on its enigmatic coastline, it will be easy to see why. Backed by the rugged Sierra Sur mountains, the best beaches in Oaxaca run along a jagged coastline that weaves in and out of rocky bays and inlets.
People i was there in Jan 2024 and again in June 2024 , never once did i feel unsafe in any part of this beach community , was at a beach outdoor show til 5 am and super safe . Walked the town at 5 am and the beach at 5 am . I will say it’s super safe and i can only assume if you find someone undesirable then dont stick around But that was not my experience. I am going back soon The biggest worry is using the ATMs in town which dont always work and the fees are large. Bring lots of pesos in cash not USD , no foreign currency exchange place there . Businesses do not accept USD like in Cancun or PV for example . One of the coolest beach places Ive been to in mexico
Puerto Angel is more a local town. It didn't seem as crowded with tourist like some of the beaches on this video. The beach and water was great for swimming meaning that the water is not as turbulent. I really enjoyed it there.
@@licoricesticwas there in Jan. I never saw an area that is the drug zone, maybe if u dabble in drugs you will find trouble , but felt safe everywhere there.

Since I was little, I always see cheap people, not spending enough, don't understant why?, locals don't charge for sharing the paradise, also they clean the beaches and they suport the voluntary lifeguard , still don't understand😞
The quantity that you came and cleaned the beach is zero times, just like the quantity the travellers left the beach dirty, the quantity that you came and clean the beach for free is minus 5 times. Thank you for free sharing the paradise you created, especially thanks for you personal, local spanish grandson.
I also noticed how cheap tourists can be in that area but note that the Oaxaca is marketed as being cheap compared to other Mexican beach towns. That being said, I did my best to spend money, not barter with the locals, and tip over 20%. I respect the work that they do for us tourist. I made some great friends and hope to see them again soon.
