I am painting miniatures for warhammer 40k, age of sigmar, marvel crisis protocol, D&D and much more! Whether it is superhero miniatures, heroic characters or space marines, I will paint them! If you are looking for some sweet miniature painting tutorials or warhammer hobby content in general, this is the right channel for you! - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต
One thing you might consider with your metallics.. since I know you dislike true metallic paints: I discovered while mixing a metallic with a non metallic grey for an aircraft, is how much the small amount of metal flake would pick up and reflect the ambient colors in the room. It became almost mesmerising to look at as it softly shifted hues.. even though I couldn't see the metallic flakes at all.
Using NMM techniques but with actual metallic paints, you can get the best of both worlds. You'll get the high contrast and punch of the NMM gradients, but you'll also get that ability of the metallics to pick up surrounding light and shift the hues.. thus better selling it as metal to your brain. The brain is real good at picking up on subtle shifts like that, even though you won't notice it.. it still just looks nicer.
Always a treat to see your work, particularly models with big personalities... lol
To be honest, I just love the way you paint skin, it looks so natural and vibrant
Honestly the most underrated hobby channel in my eyes
It's been a while since I made a comment. So here it is: I should paint more :D Every time I see videos from Zumikito I realise I have to paint. But with a todler, a new home, work, it is extremely hard to allocate time :D
Everyone "should" paint more, but it's not a job but a hobby! Don't stress yourself mate 💪
@@Zumikito I do commissions as well - so it is both :D :D :D I have a few unfinished and a ton of my own :D Though one of the commissions now are just newtonian shapes and the cross sections of objects. But I still have to paint them :D
I want to finish my wife's BFG Chaos army so we could finally have a go at that game. I mean one thing that this hobby makes you learn is to be patient and that all of us need WAY better scheduling skills :D
Always a pleasure to watch your work.
Your minis always look vibrant and so clean. Fantastic style of painting Mr. Z.
Ahoj. Nikdy by ma nenapadlo, že niekto z CZ ma takýto obľubený YT kanál a hlavne takú krásnu prácu. Držim palce. Neskutočny skill a prevedenie. Martin 😊
Very well thought out principles and simply presented!!!! Great video!
Thank you for your straight to the point video. It makes your video Sharp and on focus ❤ a joy to enjoy 🎉
Dude your accent got soo much better, i had trouble understanding you at the beginning when you just started your channel but now you have this perfectly understandable tint of charming accent, props to you. good content as always too 😊
Thank you for the introduction I really love your paintjob💯💯💯👍👍👍
Love all the detail…what a huge difference that makes. Great video…thanks.
Great video. I always appreciate hearing you explain your process and simply watching how you use your brush. Thanks
Great looking mini! One of your best, especially the color balance.
You always manage to make these videos fun and… well, very fun. 😅 We need more Zumikito content!
Incredible content, I love you Zumi !
I truly love how much KDM minis you have in your videos that seem to completely go over everyone's heads
Heck yeah! New Zumikito video!
Fantastic video, thank you for sharing and explaining 😊
Thanks for sharing your art is very impressive.
Beautiful paint job on the troll.
Beautiful!!
Absolutely amazing
Excellent video, thanks for sharing your process. :)
Amazing and funny tutorial as always. Really helpfull.
good tips. I've watched many of your videos and they really are great for beginners. Giving some good pointers that can help improve results immediately instead of discovering things for yourself. Oh and manditory Beard compliment.
That troll is incredible. Great work.
nicely done!
One thing i learned while mini painting is that my back injury doesn't love it when i paint...
Have you tried working on a higher station so you can sit up straight and support the weight of your arms?
Finding your best workable posture is a big deal, for sure!!! Definitely play around with setups to find what’s comfortable for ye, and remember to stretch frequently! Sounds cliche, I know, but it can make a huge difference. It’s way too easy to fall into a weird position while working and screw yourself up, I know that all too well!
@@Hot_Dice I have a standing desk that i can adjust the height. I had surgery so i can't stay in the same position for too long.
I have had 3 surgeries on my spine and I hear you. I got a standing desk and adjusted the height which has been super helpful
Lol lying on the floor taking a break from painting while reading this.
Thx for the vid
Thank you, excellent work! What brand of paint and colors were used for this model?
The heavy hammer is a weapon of mass destruction...I see what you did there, twice! :D
Freakin neat vid!
good vid keep it up 💪
Outstanding Art
What Brand of paint and Brushes you use
Does the zenithal highlights really help when using opaque paints?
Your videos are amazing! Could you please make some video how to paint small miniatures, from board games for example, that don’t have good details. And how to paint some miniatures that are in the darkness with only one point of the light like a torch.
The painting tips in this video are almost as glorious as that beard.
I painted a mini using your tactics from a video once. The face didn't turn out the best, 5/10, but overall it was really good, but it took about 5 hours and some angry tirades.
Please help me I'm new around here. What is the difference between vallejo game color and vallejo model color is it the same but just with different name, or is it different brand, or is it have different usages??? Please help me out
Anyone know where to get the big and beautiful personality model?
Incredible work mate.
You have improved
You have definitely gotten even better since I subscribed to this channel 3 years ago
And thankyou for another fantastic video
Thank you! Would be a shame if the content stayed the same quality 💀
What kind of primer is that?
8:22- (I just want to see if I can guess what you did before going on. Because I just started learning how to do the glowing effect) So the glow only goes out so far, right? Well beyond that glow would be the darkest part to show the natural shadows and the normal colors. So I painted the area that the glow would be touching darker and darker the closer I got to that glow. The. Then brightened up the glow areas with the natural colors that I started with. And then put the glow over it with really really thin paint for the glow
Edit: I typed in the wrong time stamp! Mainly because for some odd reason when I pause a video lately TH-cam loves to just my video ahead or back a lot!!! And it doesn’t happen all the time! But it’s annoying that it happens at all!!!
Got into Warhammer 40k recently and currently I am in the process of absorbing as much advice and information before I start painting my first mini. So imagine my surprise when one of the first channels I found is photoshop with czech interface text. Somehow I always find hidden fellow czechs when I venture into new youtube communities😂
@@aWOLtrooper I apreciate the advice, but that works only if you have a faintest idea what you are doing, I don’t. Before youtube, I didn’t know that primers exist, that thinning paints is both an existing concept and sometimes necessary, what drybrushing means, what type of brush is for what or that there are other paints then citadel. You may think those things obvious, but I will reitetate that I just got into the hobby, so I would rather do research then be sorry at the result.
hmmm personalttity... :)
6:34 Tracts off land.
6:26 You gotta draw focus to your "money maker" for each model. Most of the time it is the face while other models, it's their. . . uh personality. .. Yeah. . .
This video definitely helps those like myself who are about to level up their miniature painting hobby with larger game pieces and display models. I recently have been going on an online hunt(pun intended) for the Monster Hunter World Board game monster miniatures for their game that is about to release an their kickstarter for the Iceborne expansion. I absolutely love the IP. And even though I really dont care for the board game I really want the models for painting
You are not a miniature painting demi-god, because you are a miniature painting god... a bearded one ;-)
Thank you so much!
... you made me sad for the troll...
2:10
Not with colourblindness I won't lmao.
Am I the only 1 who has been painting a while and still thinks their biggest issue is loading their brush. Love the content on here, and I definitely want to implement them, but the essential skills still elude me.
Where the heck is that 10 hours video? C'mon. Secondary channel for uncut stuff that we can listen to while painting!
WARNING: This ended up being a longer comment than I was planning. But it’s just me kind of getting out the biggest downfall for most artists/painters (in my opinion)! And a bit of a background of me to try to explain how I’m not new to the art world but I am new to painting! So if that doesn’t interest you or you can’t handle longer comments then skip this one!!!
Those were all really cool models, including the one you picked for this video! The one trap I keep falling in is the compare game!?! Ugh……… When I’m just looking at my models/minis I can see how huge of a improvement I have made in just a little over 3 years of painting (yes, I’ve been a artist my whole life and I’ve been drawing since I was like 5 years old! But for my reasons I never painted unless I had to for art class in school!!! But once each one of my art teachers realized I had my own style of art after 5th grade, they never asked me again to do what the rest of the class did. Just as long as I did something in my style I was good!!! And then there was 10 years that I did nothing artistic at all! And only a few years after the decade of no art ended and I was in a bad way that is when I discovered my first miniature game! I never heard of any miniature games where you build and paint them yourself! And I’ve been hooked ever since)!!! But then I look at the same model/ mini from someone else, or something like what I did and my excitement is just drained out of me!!! It sucks, it’s depressing and it’s a horrible habit to get into! So the only advice I would like to give above all others (and I also think all other artists should also talk about more) is it’s ok to compare!?! But only compare your newest models to your previous models! Or the last one you finished to the first one you did!!! Because once you start down the path of comparing yourself and your painted miniatures to other people’s (mainly the pros that have a insane amount of talent for this, plus thousands of hours more than you of practice) miniatures then the end result will almost always be the same! And it’s not a great feeling!!! Unless you enjoy being upset about something you love to do?!? Lol But watching how to videos are perfectly fine! But once you find what your style is, try to stick with just that until you feel like you have learned everything you need to in the painting world (which means always stay with that style lol)!
I disagree in part about saturation. Contrast is what matters. Color Contrast, Value Contrast, Texture Contrast, and Saturation Contrast. Intelligently using each of these things to emphasize and de-emphasize different parts of your mini to tell the story you want to tell is what matters. You dance around this but feel like you never quite hammered the point home.
I don't see a conflict in what you list and what I said. What exactly do you disagree with?
@@Zumikito It seemed like you were saying all things being equal, higher saturation values make for a better result. Something which I disagree with. I think you can have a mostly very desaturated miniature and have a fantastic composition. Could be a misunderstanding though.
I agree you're not a miniature painting demigod.
You're a frickin' full blown hairy miniature painting deity.
they canceled the funding for evernight lmfao
Apparently it''ll be back on, I have checked up with them
Any idea when? Would really let to get hold of one if they have an STL available for purchase?@@Zumikito
ReSULT, Iit's pronounced reSULT
Can't find these minis online anywhere and the link just brings up a google doc, they stop making them?
