You get it wrong, all the haters were too hyped and impressed with the ova in the anime scene of this which is why they are probably disappointed with this show, in this particular scene Ye Xiu didn't fight Sun Xiang. A lot of people are complaining and hating because they made a live action of an anime that isn't following the damn story, it's hard to be hyped over a live action when the anime scene was flat out better and amazing.

The anime didnt even cover the story behind the mc and only after reading the novel or the live action will people actually know the emotions coming from kings avatar. Wdym ye xiu didnt fight sun xiang in this scene? This is almost identical and ppl are just mad at certain parts not being "as good looking". Also if u see the new season the anime just skipped an important chunk about the guild boss which is kinda sad.
@@edwinnyeow2708 yeah but this scene vs the ova had two different tones the live action was essentially the mc saving his friend after getting bodied by sun xiang while in the ova even though she was getting bodied she didn't realize how she was getting bodied until the mc had to explain to her that even though she could beat her opponent, she would lose in matches overall and had to step in order to stop them from playing for like 2+hrs essentially

I think this is one of my favorite live action after rurouni kenshin 😂 and it's kinda hard to find cdrama without love line but S1 of this drama is very clear, no romance at all yet i'm addicted to watch more.. I don't mind of anything else since i know Yangyang played his role so well ❤
Some teenagers were disappointed in this drama because it doesn't have romance. Some legends were disappointed in this drama due to constantly comparing it with novel and anime. But ordinary me - enjoyed this amazing drama and addicted to c-dramas because of this drama and still in the hangover of this drama and re-watched it recently (usually I don't like to re-watch dramas even if it's my favourite) and still like it.

@Yuu Chan Just a question. But with who did he had romance with? Su Mucheng or the Boss Lady? I thought he had a much bigger bond with his childhood friend as they were quite hinted a lot in the novel but wasn't made cannon bc of the authors thoughts on "harem"/romance.

They go pretty deep in the live action version and after you get used to it it’s actually really great. I’ve started watching other Chinese and Korean dramas after watching this.

This live action had more sense of logic, since the player seat was in close room and no camera there because it was supposed to be a friendly celebration of all stars games, pro wannabies and to audience.

I was head over heels over Yangyang after finished watching Who Rules The World and i was like he's really OP where else i can see him acting as an OP character. Im glad that i chose this drama because there's no romance since im still yet to move on from Hei-Bai FengXi rltionship. Lol for me Yangyang is so OP that he only deserves someone as OP as him so unless the FL is an OP character then im opposed it. Lol that is how much im in love with WRTW.
I still enjoy watching The King's Avatar live action eventho there are no Samsara and Heavenly Sword in it. It will be great if they put a little bit more of heavenly domain plot because they are a lot of interesting thing happened there. They put Sun Zheping injured hand condition to Wei Chen character. I guess i'm glad i watch the live action first before reading the novel because it help me to understand and imagine the game, skills better.
To be fair there's so much detail and character development not to mention the overall story that the screen adaptations just cut out or change that it is a bit unsatisfying. I treat it as just a retelling in a slightly different universe... like how Gundam has multiple timelines.

I remember when so many people complained about LoTR and in that case I had read the books too. There is just no time to get all of the original content from books into the screenplay, and that's still my favorite movie series to date. I think this show is only 40 eps so they have a lot to cover.

Yeah, I learned to separate each adaptations (live action, donghua, novel) and it made me enjoy the show more. It also happened to The Untamed/Mo Dao Zu Shi.
@@barbwilson4820 Talking from the point of view of someone who read a bit, watched the live action and watched the anime, the anime's actually a very good adaptation...this? this isn't. It replaced a lot of key things and outright removed characters, which I really don't like, give a shot to the OVAs of King's Avatar to see this fight the way it's meant to and you'll find out it's way more badass but more importantly, believable. There's no way Tang should be even close to Sun in terms of HP it would have been a one sided massacre, yet here it just works that way for some reason, the only reason Tang was able to hold her own against Du Ming was because she had higher APM than Du Ming, Sun can actually match her so it makes no sense that a pro vs a newcomer would be this favorable to Tang, not to mention coming in midfight and somehow pull through when keybinds are different from player to player, something actually addressed in the OVAs. They just skips way too much details and some characters feels very underdeveloped. Personally I really don't like that, but if you're fine in getting half the story Butterfly Blue tried to make then...yeah I guess Live Action it is. The one thing Live Action did do better is the mouse movements, the "Dragon rises its Head" move that starts as unique to Ye Qiu is unique because it requires him to do a lot of complex manipulation on top of moving, which is not exactly something that translate well with the anime when the movement was so...small for how much happened, on that the live action does a bit better.

我要哭了，作為原著粉，之前的小劇情改了也算了，但沒有想到他們連這個經典場面也改了😭😭！！！不論是出場角色還是用的人物全部都變了！！本來就不是孫翔的，也不是他們兩個PK的，現在完全沒有了當初看小說的感覺😔還是很失望😞，不過還是會看下去的
重點是因為真人版他們把動畫第二季延期，還完全沒消息。這對於沒看過小說的就是一部偶像劇。但看過小說的真感覺被惡心了一番。
