Johnny Zest originally appeared in The Sims 4 for PC in a town called Oasis Springs, which is a desert town just like Sim Springs. His appearance from The Sims 4 kinda looks like Johnny Test.
At the moment, this all seems really complicated. I expect once I’m doing it, it’ll all make more sense, but some of these events and tasks are so involving that it’s almost overwhelming.

Pretty sure the Sims people at EA use her for free advertisement by allowing her to temporarily begin the game before everyone else. And then of course they hope she makes a clear video of it with her own video and microphone and editing program she pays for on her own. They don't really like to accept creations by fans and they don't really like to accept ideas either, Except a few times they've allowed really famous Sims 4 players to offer some advice which they don't take unless there's a high level of complaint. It took a few years of James Turner and Deligracy complaining that the game didn't have a suitable simple white front door before they finally added one. The Girl Who Games is fantastic, and does a lovely work of showing us clearly as possible how to accomplish Events and updates in the Sims freeplay, but she's not as famous yet as James Turner or Deligracy so I don't like to say it, but EA just uses them to get their product out and doesn't pay any of them anything more than an occasional free game. The Girl Who Games doesn't even get to keep the advance version of these Events. She has to work them out just like we do, when the updates and events are given to everyone. She doesn't work for them. If you want to get them to consider something you've created, try writing to them at their corporate address, or see if they'll talk to you on twitter. Maybe you'll get a chance to offer your ideas there. Cheers.
This event is much better than SimChase and pregnancy events, mainly because in this event you don’t have to spend one hundred thousand simoleons or ten social points every single day on appointments or “mastery”
Thank you for this guide. I've played the first day and paid for the second day. Their tutorial was a bit clunky but I understand better now. The zesty stuff went over my head in their tutorial. It is good they have a long term plan. The island events, the sim chase and the collecting resource events were getting a bit stale and the construction events are a real chore. But I can see the returns in investing in the neighbourhoods. You are right they do need a plan for the inventory no point collecting new items if one has to scroll endlessly to find them. Inevitably, that leads to stock 3 star items always being used for certain regular tasks. Defeats the object of having aesthetically pleasing items. Thanks once again.
@@shivanshijaiswal7232 Have you looked through the list of game things events you need to advance to being able to do the next one? I'm not sure if that's really a problem, Just an idea. I've done needed quests up to and stopped before doing the Old Age sewing one and I'm level 55. They are allowing me to do this Sandy Suburbs event. Do you have enough houses in the main game? Do you have the minimum amount of adult Sims you need to perform most events? Sometimes it's just something you're missing, but if not, try writing to them at their help website by firemonkeys. Sorry, I'm just trying to help you with ideas.
I’ve already completed 2/4 and it’s really overwhelming for a sims free play player like me with no real money to buy sp’s and simoleans to spend to ensure I can complete the task so I’m not sure if it’s worth continuing.
Spin plant just gave me 3 friggin pumpkins! So if I need to I got em! I only have 37 sims so I’m not sure when anyone will move in but hopefully I got em to use em!
There's a sneaky way to allow your teenage Sims to "own " a house. They don't really own it, but can live in a house by themselves. I forget if it was The Girl Who Games or Karen Job (also on TH-cam) who has a video on how to do it. Basically, one adult owns a house. Or choose a house you want the teenager to own. And have a single adult Sim go own that house. Not his parent. Then, have the teenager visit the single adult owner and become friends with them until you can choose to have the teenager move in with that non parental adult. Then, have the single adult Sim move to or go own another house. They're not really family so the teenager should end up staying behind, thus "owning " the house on his own, unless you move him into another property to live. I did this several times with various teenager Sims. The first house I used was the Teen Skater house, so I could use it as a teen party house.

Hopefully it will be resolved soon. 🤞🏻 P.S. some people have noted that having sims on multiple Sim Springs lots to complete tasks is what’s causing the issue. So the tasks requiring sims to find a certain number of objects need to be completed twice. Hope that helps!
Seems like a bug in the code then because the tasks specifically stated they could be in multiple lots. 😤 Hope they fix it soon. Otherwise, it's no fun.
Have you tried to talk to Johnny Zest again? Have you completed the previous task? Do you have the item in the house that the Sims need to complete the next task? Like a mirror, or bookcases or stereo or tree or dining chair or couch? Also, when providing items from inventory for them to use in a task, like a couch or dining chair, make sure the item description actually has the word "couch" or "dining chair " or "stereo " in the title. Sometimes the game won't recognize the item you choose if it's not exactly called what the game asks for.

I'm stuck at the part where it says you need to consider something on the couch. There is no couch in the house, and when I tried to put one in it didn't give me the option to complete the task on it. I don't know what to do
Sorry I forgot about it in this video but it isn't really relevant for Sandy Suburbs anyway as you can't unlock any of those prizes until they add the next neighbourhood. It will be in my neighbourhood tasks video.

You won't be able to increase the happiness level in this update as it is the happiness for all neighbourhoods, not just Sandy Suburbs and this is the first one.
hard to understand youtube sound is on full so is my PC Volume.. still i can only understand when the house is totally quiet . as in no washing machine .. no kid using the tv every other video on YT is almost over powered or well to understand.. is it just me.. ?

Thank you for this video! I was worried that I might have missed something on my game. However, I have a question to ask you: how to make the library bigger? In two videos I watched on this (including the trailer for “Sim Springs”), and in your thumbnail, the library is a three flours building instead of a one floor building.
The library shown is the template that you unlock during the event but you can add an extra floor to the library you are building, you do this the same way you usually add floors to houses.

If I take a 20 day gap midway while doing Dusky Dwelling (2nd house), will it affect or stop me from getting the Zesty prices for the 3rd and 4th house? Also, do the deadline extensions cost simoleons or have to be paid in LP/SPs? I really hope the grand prize house lots are available for building elsewhere even if we finish after the deadline. Taking a break during a different lot won't affect the next ones and the deadline extensions cost simoleons. I found out that you will be able to get the grand prize even if you miss some deadlines. Thank you, I'm glad they help!

@@safakaltunay3021 the Sims free play tasks and events are sometimes very personally time consuming and cost a lot of in game resources or simoleons. There's lots of players miss completely finishing some events in order to receive all the prizes. Are you receiving the building templates when you finish? Because I think you're supposed to get the building templates once you complete each building lot tasks completely. But the Zesty time prizes are extra for doing everything on time at each stage. Some of us will not receive the Zesty time prizes.
How do you win the Grand prize homes and buildings? I completed the first one, now on to the second in 10 days, but I only received the basic prizes not the grand prize of the first house? Do you have to complete all to get them? I also am not sure if I won the extra zesty prizes either?
I'm over level 20 but the bus stop sign has still not appeared in my game. Do I need to complete any quest before it appears? Is this happening with anyone else?

Also, when a task tells you that you need to do something many times, try buying the item you need and have several Sims accomplishing the task at once. I would buy nine mirrors and have 9 Sims do it at once. Or have 6 Sims do it twice, something like that.
@@TheGirlWhoGames yeah that finding photographs one was difficult to understand what they wanted you to do. Also, I wonder if the game gives you trouble completing the tasks if you accidentally delete a needed item like a couch, will it still give you the task highlight and just let you re buy the item.?
Is your facebook page still current? Has it been deleted for any reason? Are you signed in to facebook? Try signing in to facebook and then opening the game. Sometimes after a game update they will require you to sign in to the game again. If you ever get it figured out, make sure you save the game to the cloud, in game at least once a week. If you still can't get in, ask firemonkeys website for help.
I think this is one of the biggest money grabs and worst updates ever. I have contacted Fire Monkeys several times only to have them tell me it is both my phone and brand new tablet. Each has more than enough RAM and Storage (over a TB of Storage and 8 gb of Ram running at 8% cache when not using Sims and 25% while using) and I have been programming computers since 1989. I know what I am doing. This and the Downtown Developer both lets your Sims finish the assigned task and then..... NOTHING. The game either shuts down and saves nothing or just plain glitches out and resets the task to "0". I was waaaaaaaaay ahead for the Downtown Developer and on the 2nd day I was alerted I missed the prize. The Springs made me do so many things multiple times or spend Simoleans or Lifestyle points etc etc. It would be cool if it worked and did not try to rob you. Firemonkeys is not doing anything about it because these exact same complaints from other users go back to 2018
Try Google Play, or look for a link to download the game by going to EA real website and seeing if it's there somewhere. If you still can't find it, ask EA or on twitter, Just make sure you're really talking to the real Sims game developer and not an account that looks like them, to prevent downloading virus from bad links.
@@NONO4-6 www.ea.com or go right to Google Play Store and they'll have it there for your device. I just checked. It's there on the Google Play Store. The Sims free play. If you have a pc, they don't make it directly for PC download but it's for Android tablets, mobile phones and I think it's for another device as well, I forget.
As your Sims Springs improves and you complete more challenges, events etc in Sims Springs, the rank8ng will change. It's Ghost town to start with as it's empty and not alot going on yet.
She said have a free non busy Sim, then click on bookcases, computers, items around the house to see if there are any photos to be found there. Try lots of objects.

I'm only on the first lot, Terrace, so far, and as long as I'm careful to do everything in the right order, I haven't had any real problems yet, except, when I went to click on the fridge for the "Eat comfort food from the fridge," task, that task disappeared from the list and was only giving me the next task. I knew that was wrong, so I stopped that, and tried all over again. The next time I chose the fridge the real correct task was also in the list. Johnny Zest is just walking around on my lot #1. I haven't been to any other lots yet. When I ask them to check in with Johnny Zest, they do. They stay talking to him until the task is supposed to end in an hour or so. I read that if you try to get him to go to other lots and you need him at an earlier lot, he might not show up. So the game can get glitchy confused. Is there anything else that you are supposed to be doing before asking them to check in with Johnny? Try leaving all the lots and come back into the Event by the Sunny Suburbs button in the upper left corner of the screen. I've only been to look at the entire Suburbs area once using the bus stop. It's possible that the game is glitching if you are using the bus stop before finishing the first lot. Try to do things simply, and one at a time in the correct order. Try leaving the game or screen and coming back to your task by using the button in the upper left corner of the screen. I don't know what else to suggest. But I have read that there are glitches now and again from others. If you continue to be glitched, report it to EA at their firemonkeys website. Or go to The Girl That Games blog and look for links to firemonkeys so you can ask them for help. She doesn't work for them, but you might read on her blog page too, with this quest to see if she's written anything about glitches yet. But I'd try talking to firemonkeys. EA might be able to do something to reset a part of your game, Just the part of Sunny Suburbs. I hope my suggestions help you.
@@izzacarter6363 I do have one more suggestion besides the one I wrote earlier. When you are playing the game from the original neighborhood, you can also try to find Johnny by clicking on the Sims list. He should be one of the top 2 Sims in your list. Clicking on him should bring you to wherever he is in your game. Make sure he is free from doing anything before you go to the lot you want him to work on. You go to the lot you want him to work on, and check his picture in your list of Sims. If he was on another lot, you now might be able to call him to come to your present lot. Maybe that advice will also be helpful. I hope.

The only thing I hate is Johnny Zest does not stay in one house when I go to the other houses in Sandy Suburbs and It forces the Check in to not progress when going back to the other sims who's done the task.. I really hope they fix this issue
I wish i knew this before TT i went to the other house while my sim is doing the complaining to johnny zest tasks and it completely undo the task and i didnt notice it until now (T-T)

@@safakaltunay3021 the Sims free play tasks and events are sometimes very personally time consuming and cost a lot of in game resources or simoleons. There's lots of players miss completely finishing some events in order to receive all the prizes. Are you receiving the building templates when you finish? Because I think you're supposed to get the building templates once you complete each building lot tasks completely. But the Zesty time prizes are extra for doing everything on time at each stage. Some of us will not receive the Zesty time prizes.

I'm over level 20 but the bus stop sign has still not appeared in my game. Do I need to complete any quest before it appears? Is this happening with anyone else?
You will need to update your game to get the bus stop.

I'm stuck on 9. How many times must I look in the mirror to find out my mistakes. Im doing it for the 3rd time. Please help me
The mirror task needs to be completed 9 times, check the goal before you start to see how many times it needs to be completed.
Also, when a task tells you that you need to do something many times, try buying the item you need and have several Sims accomplishing the task at once. I would buy nine mirrors and have 9 Sims do it at once. Or have 6 Sims do it twice, something like that.

@@TheGirlWhoGames yeah that finding photographs one was difficult to understand what they wanted you to do.
Also, I wonder if the game gives you trouble completing the tasks if you accidentally delete a needed item like a couch, will it still give you the task highlight and just let you re buy the item.?

Is your facebook page still current? Has it been deleted for any reason? Are you signed in to facebook? Try signing in to facebook and then opening the game. Sometimes after a game update they will require you to sign in to the game again. If you ever get it figured out, make sure you save the game to the cloud, in game at least once a week. If you still can't get in, ask firemonkeys website for help.
I think this is one of the biggest money grabs and worst updates ever. I have contacted Fire Monkeys several times only to have them tell me it is both my phone and brand new tablet. Each has more than enough RAM and Storage (over a TB of Storage and 8 gb of Ram running at 8% cache when not using Sims and 25% while using) and I have been programming computers since 1989. I know what I am doing. This and the Downtown Developer both lets your Sims finish the assigned task and then..... NOTHING. The game either shuts down and saves nothing or just plain glitches out and resets the task to "0". I was waaaaaaaaay ahead for the Downtown Developer and on the 2nd day I was alerted I missed the prize. The Springs made me do so many things multiple times or spend Simoleans or Lifestyle points etc etc. It would be cool if it worked and did not try to rob you. Firemonkeys is not doing anything about it because these exact same complaints from other users go back to 2018

Yes, you can demolish the house you built and replace it with the prize lot or you can just keep the house you have been building.

55 is the final level but you can still keep playing the game and get all future updates.

Try Google Play, or look for a link to download the game by going to EA real website and seeing if it's there somewhere. If you still can't find it, ask EA or on twitter, Just make sure you're really talking to the real Sims game developer and not an account that looks like them, to prevent downloading virus from bad links.

@@NONO4-6 www.ea.com or go right to Google Play Store and they'll have it there for your device. I just checked. It's there on the Google Play Store. The Sims free play. If you have a pc, they don't make it directly for PC download but it's for Android tablets, mobile phones and I think it's for another device as well, I forget.
I don't understand the Ghost Town part.
As your Sims Springs improves and you complete more challenges, events etc in Sims Springs, the rank8ng will change. It's Ghost town to start with as it's empty and not alot going on yet.

Do you mean Johnny Zest? He usually reappears when you need him to talk to. Look on the lot you're working on.

I'm only on the first lot, Terrace, so far, and as long as I'm careful to do everything in the right order, I haven't had any real problems yet, except, when I went to click on the fridge for the "Eat comfort food from the fridge," task, that task disappeared from the list and was only giving me the next task. I knew that was wrong, so I stopped that, and tried all over again. The next time I chose the fridge the real correct task was also in the list.
Johnny Zest is just walking around on my lot #1. I haven't been to any other lots yet. When I ask them to check in with Johnny Zest, they do. They stay talking to him until the task is supposed to end in an hour or so.
I read that if you try to get him to go to other lots and you need him at an earlier lot, he might not show up. So the game can get glitchy confused.
Is there anything else that you are supposed to be doing before asking them to check in with Johnny? Try leaving all the lots and come back into the Event by the Sunny Suburbs button in the upper left corner of the screen.
I've only been to look at the entire Suburbs area once using the bus stop. It's possible that the game is glitching if you are using the bus stop before finishing the first lot. Try to do things simply, and one at a time in the correct order.

I don't know what else to suggest. But I have read that there are glitches now and again from others.
If you continue to be glitched, report it to EA at their firemonkeys website. Or go to The Girl That Games blog and look for links to firemonkeys so you can ask them for help.
She doesn't work for them, but you might read on her blog page too, with this quest to see if she's written anything about glitches yet.
But I'd try talking to firemonkeys. EA might be able to do something to reset a part of your game, Just the part of Sunny Suburbs.

@@izzacarter6363 I do have one more suggestion besides the one I wrote earlier. When you are playing the game from the original neighborhood, you can also try to find Johnny by clicking on the Sims list. He should be one of the top 2 Sims in your list. Clicking on him should bring you to wherever he is in your game. Make sure he is free from doing anything before you go to the lot you want him to work on. You go to the lot you want him to work on, and check his picture in your list of Sims. If he was on another lot, you now might be able to call him to come to your present lot. Maybe that advice will also be helpful. I hope.

The only thing I hate is Johnny Zest does not stay in one house when I go to the other houses in Sandy Suburbs and It forces the Check in to not progress when going back to the other sims who's done the task.. I really hope they fix this issue
I wish i knew this before TT i went to the other house while my sim is doing the complaining to johnny zest tasks and it completely undo the task and i didnt notice it until now (T-T)
