    COVID-19 is tested most popularly through the RT-PCR test, which is a genetic test that works on the RNA of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. How does this test work? ThePrint’s Sandhya Ramesh explains how samples are collected and processed to produce a result in an RT-PCR test.

    The inventor of the PCR test, Kary Mullis, has stated that magnification at 40 cycles will yield 97% false positives. I believe the proper magnification rate is 27 or 28.

    • @TheFelltimber
      @TheFelltimber 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mullis PCR was end time PCR....for covid we use real time and reverse transcriptase PCR. So Mullins PCR would not be appropriate for covid testing...and that is why it is not used. There is a lot of misinformation that easily tricks those who are not educated in this.

    • @blessnorthamerica7919
      @blessnorthamerica7919 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheFelltimber that’s why main stream media refused his request to have open debate on PCT test ? That’s why so many specialists in molecular genetics engineering field have been silenced? ?

    • @TheFelltimber
      @TheFelltimber 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@blessnorthamerica7919 I don't think molecular biologists are being silenced. I am one of them. You only need check a text book and learn the various types of PCR and you/they can see that end point PCR (Mullis) is not used for covid testing for the obvious reasons. That is why we have always used qPCR for covid testing. There is only confusion for the general public.

    "RNA has only a single strand"?? It depends whether the RNA is single stranded (ss) RNA or double stranded (ds) RNA. In this case it is ssRNA. Example of dsRNA is rotavirus.
