There is no longer anywhere, where those traits are expected or required without exception. There was a time when the phrase “you know how to act in public” was understood. There is a difference in how you acted at home and how you acted in school, church, court or any place like that. A sense of decorum has been dying for years, decades even. Which is why we have seen the degradation of society as we see it today, sadly. You start lowering your expectations of people eventually you find you have no expectations of people. It’s sad!

Need to start fining members of congress and the senate when they act like on then the job. No excuses $1000.00 first time double every time after. No entry to building until all fines paid cash.🤬
I agree although as rich as these folks are they would not feel it as much of a punishment. Instead the fines should not be a set dollar amount but a percentage of their net worth so the punishment is equally harsh for them all. So say start at 25% of the individuals net worth as a fine for the first offence, jumping 10% with any subsequent offences. But there should be a three strikes you are out system too. If they cannot behave professionally and have forgotten to be polite and professional while at work, they need to be removed on the third offence, never to be able to be in our government again in any capacity. I do not care which party it is, who the person is, their gender, sexual orientation, etc. i think that not just the individual being unprofessional and rude, if it happens a second time, the entire party should be each fined the same amount. Because they need to get their associates under control. And the only way they will do that is if they are forced to part with their money too. And the fine should go to either the education system or to the victim. They can keep the money or donate to a charity of their choice.
Why? So they increase our taxes just to pay that fine?
