My father grew up in NYC and loved Simon and Garfunkel. When we were just wee kids in the 70s, my brother and I would follow the lyrics on their jacket covers, singing along enthusiastically. I remember feeling a sense of happiness and peace and have always associated this song with dad, who has since passed. Your version is so wonderful and, dare I say, just as beautiful as the original.

I wasn't exactly worried, when I saw that you did a Simon and Garfunkel - but I was ready to not be a massive fan of it, because I grew up constantly listening to a single CD with their best songs on it, and I've never been able to fully appreciate a cover of them. I agree with this. It’s hard to find a good cover. I might suggest getting over to Joshua Lee Turner’s channel to see/his cover of the same song. Different feel because it’s a solo. But it’s also REALLY good. (Note: I found this one from the comments on his video from a fan of both).
When my family and I went on holidays we ALWAYS listened to this song ! Oh my God I was so little and all of us 5 tired people used to sing this song so loudly while driving 15 hours to Croatia. "Let's go to the ocean and be free" mama said. And I was so tired when papa took me in his arm and seated my belt. And than we drove and drove and drove with Simon and Garfunkel.
