I have to agree with Monoshock, I was thinking the same thing when watching this video. Your explanations were solid, and I almost felt as though I were there when you were talking. Best review by far of Burning Man. I'd love to go, and just experience the freedom of it all. Your video could be used as a promo for this event. Thanks so much for taking the time and effort to show us something we may not get a chance to see.
The very best thing👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 about this video was the narration without the narrator putting his face in the screen. He described his experience while panning the scene. It's really nice to have the narration without the speaker dominating the frame. Thanks Brad, for being a good buddy and letting the landscape be the centerpiece. I'll probably never make it to ttitd cuz the dust would probably make my asthma issues front and center, not a lot of fun for me. Thanks for brining me along.Peace.

Thanks for sharing! This is great footage and there is a bunch of art that i have not seen else where. I particularly loved the metal serpent and swinging living room chairs!
I really enjoyed your video. I am usually super critical of BM documentaries and TH-camr videos of the Playa experience. I’m that way because I have been to 9 burns but not as a participant but as a voyeur, actually as an observer and documentarian, part of a film crew (mostly real film, not digital video). The film crew has been filming at Burning Man for 31 years. Your video serves up a really good Winfield into the playa experience and I’d certainly show it to people who need a primer before their first burn. If I see you at BRC I’ll buy you some ice, even though it’s just going to melt. lol
I just shared your video to a local Artist friend, Jon Imeson from Austin who brought out the Big Eye Stage you featured at 15:20!! Great lil Documentary for a first time burner! I love how you captured your outtings in the dust in the bike rides at night, feels like I was there as I had Fomo for not being there this year. Thanks for sharing your Journey and hope to run into yall next year! Cheers! =)
The first couple of years I went to Burning Man I never saw the sunrise. When you go back next year, and I think you might, consider making a video on "day Burning Man." It is a whole different experience that I actually prefer now after 6 trips out. Glad you had a great time!
We can put all this effort into parting but we can save ourselves… ppl volunteering just to volunteer. This is just proof we could be doing much more in our world to make it better.
There are more videos on TH-cam every year which ultimately makes it more difficult for burners to continue to attend. More people will be trying to get a limited amount of tickets every year. 2024 was an exception in that they had tickets to buy because of the rainout the previous year. That was cool. The last time I could buy a ticket at the gate was In 2010. I love new burners. They're great! They are. However, if all those who attend one year decide to go again the following year, a problem arises. It becomes difficult for the whole family to come together because the festival is already maxed out. It can't continue to grow in size because the feds won't allow it. That sucks. So, what do we do? The Organization has records of most of the participants for over 15 years. They could prioritize ticket sales in a way that's fair. Veterans, Virgins, then Theme Camps in that order makes sense to me. Individuals should come first before camps. Some people would disagree with me, but my observations are true and I have missed a few burns. Not for lack of trying. I wanted to go. I had money and time. I bought a bad ticket in 2018. It was 100% authentic, but when I got to the gate, it had been voided. They offered me an emergency ticket for $1000. Uhhhh.....nope! That was supposed to be my 17th. year in a row attending. Ouch! At this point, I feel that if you've attended the event 20 times, you should be able to buy a ticket without any hassle because you've put in the time and effort and the blood, sweat and tears. That has to mean something. If it doesn't, then what's it going to be like for all the people who plan to attend their second or third burn? Like the guy who made this video. This is just something to consider and discuss. I'm happy you enjoyed your first Burn. It takes years to truly get it. It's ever-changing. Some of the sweetest things about it are gone forever. It would be nice to be able to walk out into the darkness of deep playa, except there is no longer the darkness of the Abyss anymore. It was nice. The art keeps getting better. That's one cool thing. However, the mystery of the event gets weaker every time another video gets posted. That goes for every special thing in life. So, I only tell the very best people about the coolest things so that those things will not become unsustainable. Thank you for reading this comment.❤
I enjoyed my first burn and I hope that many others can also experience it for the first time. It can really change the way you view the human experience. honestly I would rather many new people experience it for the first time rather than veterans gate keeping it and attending their 20th burn.
@@nomadbrad503 I used to think that way. Nowadays, I realize that everybody is too broad a word when it comes to Burningman. The first time that I went in 2001, I had no clue what it was. There weren't any videos to tell you anything about it. There were no instructions of any kind. There was no instant way to connect with and learn about any of it. There were those who knew.... and then the rest. It was a process. You gathered knowledge and inspiration over time by returning and seeing new things each time. What I know for sure is that this event is "Not! For Everyone!" It's the opposite of that. It's for the initiated and for those who seek the gnosis. Here are a few things to think about... How did you learn about Burningman? Did you watch any videos before you decided to attend? Was it what you expected? Did you cry when you got home? How does it feel to talk to people who no longer understand you because you have changed? Do you have plans to create an art piece to share with the family? Was there anything you didn't like about the event? Is there anything you would change if you could?
Pro tip: kiddie pools make a good fuel can containment. Recommended to have spill containment at least 110% of largest container. Tip: read and heed the "Survival Guide", you really need to know and do those things. Also maintain the right attitude like this person.
