Believers are placed in different platforms everyday and it's awesome To hear how Anthony was used this way. It's easy to jump to conclusions and mis-judgements on believers.
I don't really understand his motives for joining the show..... He was one of my favorite singers growing up and was an inspiration to me. It says in Romans 12:2 to not conform to the world, but this is exactly conforming.🙄 I feel that Anthony should have never gone there God is not a respecter of person and I felt like Anthony wanted the money of fame..... I see what he's trying to say on relating to ppl who are lost but, at the same time he was putting himself in temptation. You are definitely supposed to run from temptation. And how were you giving glory to God?? Singing secular songs did nothing for God. If I hadn't watched the intro piece on Anthony I couldn't have picked him out a Christian Bc he would be doing the same thing as everyone else. How was he shining the light? When I see ppl do these singing shows I really feel like most of them fall back on Christian music to make money Bc they couldn't hang in secular music. I.e. Danny gokee, Chris sligh, mandisa, Colton Dixon.

The cameras weren't around when he was praying for people or leading people to Christ. At times there are things that happen in the background of someone's life that we don't see. However if you really believe he is in sin, please refer to Galatians 6:1 - Dear brothers and sisters, if another believer is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path. Anthony simply used Christian music as a fall back for his failure as a secular artist. He didn't have the spark he did when singing Christian music he sounded very average.....

Unless you personally know Anthony Evans and he has confided in you his motives, you are representing yourself as being his judge with these strong statements. I don't know him personally, but watching his life and his actions, he appears to be a genuine God-follower who wants to honor God. I can imagine from your concerns that this is your heart's desire, too. So let me encourage you to be careful with your broad statements of what someone else's motives are... Only God knows our hearts.
For sure i hear you. i didnt just mean anthony i meant all the talent shows contestants who have just transitioned to christian music to make a buck. If that wasnt the intention then only God knows, but as a christian who saw this it just shocked me a bit and is a pattern that has been recurring. Just think from a non believers perspective who could possibly think this way as well is all. we are in this world but not of it how can someone point us out in a crowd as a believer if we are doing the same as the world.
