I owned a 24' Firefox and eventually had a Hawk Marine 557 ci 640 hp installed with a Mercruiser TRS drive. Bud, from Hawk, did a great job! Loved the set up, 73 mph top end. I continually pushed the boat to it's limits, never let me down. Great boat, great company. I did my homework, I wanted a Cigarette. I got one; couldn't of been happier. TG is on my radar screen 😎.
joe549549, you are correct, the Miami Vice intro shows a 39' Chris Craft Stinger. Actually, they used two Stingers, one for the pilot episode and then once the show was picked up -a different boat for the entire 1st season. In all the remaining seasons it was a 38' Wellcraft Scarab KV, which was equipped with two powerful 8.2 Mercury engines. I simply tagged our video as such to utilize a common misconception. Thanks! See you on the water! ~CRT
I believe Don Aronow would be very happy with the direction the company has gone since his passing, Salute to you all. By the way, can you tell me if the 38' 1985 model had a name? I'm looking at one near me that is for sale.
I hate the fact that in many of CRT's publications they leave out Team Virgin F2-94 which dominated the APBA circuit from 2000-2002 with MANY MORE boats in their class, up to 25 boats per race, in a 38' F-2 TopGun T/S and in the 2nd built 36' Gladiator. They won most of the races those years and if they didn't they in the top 5, 2nd in National points in 01' and World Champs in 01' National and World Champs in 02' winning I think 9 of 11 races that year and NO mention of them at all.....
That particular boat was custom built. It had a pair of Mercury Racing 1075s. If you are interested in a similar boat, please contact Cigarette Racing at 1 305 931 4564 and we would be happy to discuss it with you further.
Great video about great boats! But that´s King Carl Gustav of Sweden at 1.56 Not Juan Carlos of Spain. But it´s no big deal the Swedish King likes fast boats to.
In 1995, career criminal *Bobby Young* admitted to shooting Aronow and pleaded no contest to *second degree murder,* eventually providing a *full confession* in 2009 shortly before his death. (Source, Wiki)

The 80's in Miami were crazy.

I wonder if they still beat Fountain all the time. I think they used to be real big competitors.
My twin step Gun was one of the best boats I have owned.
The boat in that video is the 2009 46' Race Boat.

He was doing life. And wanted out of solitary....,. easy to admit it when it brings you sanity
Poor Don…left us too soon…Cartel offspring took him out...
Swedens King is not from Spain.😂😂😂
The boat at 6:30 is my favorite model.
The only thing missing is the kid at the gas pump filling the fuel tank and the concomitant hefty bill
What model is it at 6:29?
That is the king of Sweden, King Carl Gustaf XVI, not the king of Spain...
I wonder how many Cigarette Powerboats they sell in a year?
I bow down to skip he is my hero of today
Did it chine walk?
Hand laminated and vacuum bagged. Nothing wrong with that. Carbon fiber is over rated.
