I couldn't stand him on ESPN. I thought he was a lazy analyst but I'm starting to realize that the old program with Max really didn't have any direction on those segments. I'm not sure how much the prep work before the show is different on here but their seems to be a clear focus, very well paced, and all about business and not too much of the goofy stuff. Key is thriving now and I was wrong about him.

Agree. Skip is a Pundit and Key is more Pundit than Analyst. Adding Sherman helps counter Skip and Key because Sherman adds a different perspective.
@@marcogonzalez9296Sherman is also really good "off the ball" meaning when it's not his turn. He remains engaged and funny through body language in a respectful yet entertaining way. And when he does speak it's all facts and dives deep into topics. This show is great.

Lastly: Joe Burrow was passed over as a 2 star player, he was in fact laughed at. Coach O was not considered a coach much less an elite coach and was given a cold shoulder by even his own inside the alum's. At 17 million to buy him out look at the 100 million dollar packaged deal they have now in 4-5 star players and a Leprechaun. The hype trail always goes with the money...ALWAYS.
Or is Texas A&M at 86 million left on that contract worth it. The day coaches coddle players just to put on their school uniform? Time to change career fields.
Coach O was the best. Numbers second, players first direct and hands-on for every play and every down. If AB can tear off his jersey and pads professionally and walk off then AB is right. Dabo is right. O is right. The man in the checkered hat even in his grave is right.
We are coming to a time when (almost there now) when a younger and still talented Magic Johnson could not coach a Kobe and the other 10 players. Magic quit coaching because of it. They make the money and their agents will sue if that player don't answer for the agent's billing. That makes a player non-coachable. Collegiate athlete's are almost there. In two year the Maserati will not tell the Jaguar what to do...in college.

How does that cause missed tackles, when you supposedly have the best recruited team in history? The transfer portal thing, you would just be transferring some player another school recruited.

Over the last two years 23 players recruited to Clemson have transferred out. Since Dabo doesn't bring transfers in, they have to be replaced with inexperienced underclassmen.

In essence, this means that over half the Clemson football team are upperclassmen. About half of them may dress for an away game, and maybe slightly over half for a home game. So, 44% of the team are freshman, and 56% are upperclassmen. It stands to reason, that it is likely that less than half of the 44% of the team who are freshmen actually even dress for games. So, if we were to look at how many underclassmen even dressed for the game versus upperclassmen, we would probably find that at best half of those freshmen did not even dress. There is no proof that a bunch of inexperienced freshmen players lost Clemson the game against Duke. By the way, who usually transfers out? Either an inexperienced player who does not like that he is not getting to play, or some guy that thinks he is the star of the team and does not like it that he has been replaced. What evidence is there that these other players would be better? The statement, "Over the last two years 23 players recruited to Clemson have transferred out." it does not logically follow that all or even a majority of these players would have made or were making a contribution to the team that would lead to them winning, I will presume you are implying every game, and not losing to Duke on Monday. There is no evidence that these same players would not have dropped passes, thrown behind receivers, missed tackles, covered defenders better, or blocked the opposing teams field goal, place kick defenders better, so that the kicks would not have been blocked. You need to try and base your arguments on facts and logical reasoning, rather than soundbite style reasoning. Have a wonderful evening. Nothing personal.

My only issue with this show is when Skip makes a demonstration of the game but we don’t get to see the exact play. You guys have to hire someone for that.

It’s their broadcast rights, they are different for TV and Internet. It’s why you have these small channels that just put up others content include those captures. They are just putting up the TV feed and so small no one is shutting their channel down

Skip is a Genius!
Dabo actually advocated for a NIL type system to pay players. He was against the schools paying them salaries. Look up the full quote of him talking about quitting (it might be difficult because you can only find articles quoting the one or two sentences where he says, “That’s where you lose me!”). Clemson just doesn’t have the donor pull to get the players like the other top programs in the sport. I think the better criticism against Dabo is his reluctance to get players that don’t fit his culture of “buying in” to a school for 3-4 years, hence the refusal to use the portal.
Many Clemson players have NIL deals. If you google Clemon players with NIL deals it will pop up.

Clemson was the first to call their stadium "Death Valley" back in the 1940's. LSU started doing it in the 1950's.

As far as Clemson...Cade Klubnick has what, 4 games as a starter now ? 3 of those were the end of last season. There is also a brand new offensive coordinator with 1 game under his belt at Clemson. Overall, I was impressed with the mix of run & pass in the Duke game. The problem that killed the offense was non execution of basic fundamentals. Not catching very catchable passes, and fumbling the football. Not kicking fieldgoals by the kicker. All these took the wind out of Clemsons' sails. Duke as well, capitalized on these turnovers and kept the momentum on their side. Top that with Duke is not the pushover team in the ACC anymore. Duke is a dangerous program in football now. Their coach has found competitive athletic ability in football to go with the academic requirements of Duke University. Not just in basketball and other sports at Duke now.

Clemson is 21-7 since it went 89-10 from 2014 to 2020, with four losses in the last seven games - and three of those four defeats have been by margins of 21, 17 and 21 points. Clemson has returned to its pre-Deshaun Watson and Trevor Lawrence days. Not only do the Tigers no longer have elite NFL prospects at quarterback, but the teams are no longer loaded with NFL talent at the premier positions (wide receiver, defensive line, linebackers).

@@pipercity 21-7 is not a bad record on the surface, but the problem is Clemson's record has been 3-4 over its last seven games and has had some bad losses (Notre Dame, Tennessee and now Duke). The offense has mainly been anemic since Trevor Lawrence and that NFL talent left in 2020.
In 2021, Clemson was 119th nationally in yards per pass attempt at 6.0; last year it scantly improved to 92nd at 6.8. Against Duke, the Tigers averaged a pitiful 4.9 yards per attempt and 7.7 yards per completion, with no completion longer than 21 yards. Clemson looks like those teams before Lawrence, Deshaun Watson and all those NFL prospects started coming en masse from 2014 to 2020 -- an above-average program playing in a decent conference that had trouble beating good teams.
