    Hello, I have a question !
What is the precision tolerance of this 3D printed molds dimensions? If i have some bore on them for ejectors do i have to make ream them to H7 or not ? Do i have to change them in way that i can ream it afterwards ?

retired tool engineer here. interesting depending on tolerances and tool degradation.

My school ordered one for a project. I was told it only lasted for 3 injections, but was nice for a functional prototype to test before entering full production

Good day. interesting video. I am also thinking about this way. I just don't know if it is usable for me. I am going to build a small injection molding machine and I want to print materials such as TPU, PETG and HDPE. if this method can be used, can you recommend what to print such a form from and in which class of printing to look for. I have a printer with a printing temperature of up to 300 degrees Celsius. thank you for advice. Paul

If we use 3 d print the shape of design molding and casting then injection as the production parts then multi materials of large parts is possible but for small parts then stenciling 3 d printing is best like microchip, precision watch, smartphone is best for stenciling 3 d printing

    wet Sandblasting..?
    or wet blasting?
...I dont see any sand residuals in with the blasting case.

Sir can we do any type of dies with 3d printing ? and can use with the same metal parts in punching shots?

We have some customers using 3D printing for metal forming, though we would have to look specifically into what thickness material you wanted to process to see if there was a good fit for 3D printing. Thanks for watching!

what are the layers to the printed abs object? and then it is washed under the glasswhy it so and should it wash it with water?

Thanks for watching! To answer your question, Polyjet systems can print in layers as small as 14 microns. The part is washed behind glass only to keep water from going everywhere because a pressurized water spray is being used.

So, the mold is only good for 20 and 50 cycles, respectively? so this is for small volume runs, or prototyping before mass production? Thanks.

Hi Doxie! Not quite; the number of parts you can get out of a mold is heavily influenced by the design of the part, and the polymer being used. Often, customers can get 100-500 parts using common materials like PET or Acetal. Still, because production-level injection molds make thousands, this is best for small-volume and mold design validation. Thanks for watching!

They use Digital ABS for making injection molds, it’s a special blend of high-strength resins. Thanks for watching!
