@@NolanOfConsequence Sorry for the delay, but here’s my short list, in no particular order.
1) Mountain Smith fanny pack (not sure the model or size, I’ve had it for several years and use it whenever I’m running around town). For me, it’s my go to bag, holds just enough stuff that I need.
2) Osprey Daylight pack, 7L I think.
3) Maxpedition Remora, with additional small water bottle holder
4) Maxpedition Sitka when I’m hiking or going to drive an hour or more from home.

Yes, I definitely have my eye on that. Hard to justify buying another bag when I already have 2 slings and I'm not sure the Vertex would be much better for my use cases. But I do like how the top hangs down vertically when open, instead of folding over and resting on the table like the Evergoods Cap2. So it essentially takes up less space on my desk than the Cap2.

Yup! My peak design is on my desk too. Some maxpedtion FR1 are marketed as first aid… but they drawbridge open for access.

Thanks for the info! I'll have to look that bag up. I'm finding there are many bags in niche markets or uses like that, but that can serve in others.
