@@SprayWayCustoms yessir!!
i watched countless videos and ur video left no questions unanswered. ur changing the game, keep it up
Much appreciated
Nice! I'll never paint anything but always enjoy the content. Whenever I get a car painted, it's always good to know the science that goes behind it. Most people always wonder why getting a quality paint job costs so much, or always looking for a good deal...these videos you put out are a good explanation why it costs what it does. "Good work ain't cheap and cheap work isn't always good!" Keep up the good work SprayWay!!
Thanks Mr Caprice, you exactly right
Thanks for actually teaching something. Not perfect, but good enough to get someone started on making a mess....which is actually something.
Greatly appreciated
That pearl on that white is nice with a fresh set of vouges.
Yes indeed.. thanks man

Man you are one truly awesome dude I've been watching your videos for a good minute you're an excellent teacher I'm learning at a body shop at this present time but because sometimes I can't communicate with them because they know Spanish and I know English we have a hard time together explaining why something is done the way it is so I come home and I put you on and I figure out and you answer every single question in my mind I have you are so awesome bro you keep my mind tuned in and my most favorite thing that I like about you is your thick soul accent my BRUTHA when i was a kid I didn't like to play with rhe white folks too much so I would go across the railroad tracks into the hood because that's where my heart was so much so I found me a girl half black and half white sista we are soul mates for life I've been with her for 27 years keep on doing what you're doing I love your Kool-Aid
I appreciate that Limpy. I enjoy your channel as well 👍🏾
👌👌
Thanks MR_getinthere
Thank you! This video is perfectly timed and exactly what I've been looking for. I am planning on painting my motorcycle petty blue and was actually looking at that exact pearl and wondering how it'd look sprayed over a color basecoat and wondered if it'd white out the color or not. Was looking for a way to duplicate ford nitrous blue on the cheap.
Thanks sinformant. I prefer a colored pearl....I like for it to really pop.

Pearls is great to work with depending on how used changes the dynamic of paint in a big way!
Yes it do...Especially when the sun hits it. Thanks Chris
A I like how you explain things step by step
Thanks for the compliment
Definatly reacted to the dif types of paint. The top layer (binder) dryes b4 the speed shape with rattle can can dry thoroughly. . Nice video. Love the channel. Also manufacture recommend stiring in a figure 8
Thanks for the support CPK Unlimited
Sprayway be safe out there man..
Thanks 🙏🏽 Suga Black
Thanks for your help.
No problem Brian
Nice work bro!!🤘🏾
Thanks Ralo
Love your videos always on point n the fact you sound like Charlie Murphy makes it even better
😂😂thanks man
What up Spray!!!! Solvent based paints cause "crazing" or in other words they chemically react with acrylics. That's what happened to your speed samples when you sprayed the undercoat clear undercoat over the non-profit urethane based paint.
Correct...I was just demonstrating and didn't want to mix up and waste no automotive paint. Appreciate the comment Alrich Bullard
🔥🔥looking good like always👍🏾👍🏾
Thanks Tweet G over there at Tweet G Customs 👍🏾
I had to stop writing to post this one! I've never seen a person with 527 👍up and NO 👎!?! That's SERIOUS because in this crazy a$$ world, regardless of how much you can master something there's always that 1 person/hater that's just MAD about life! Smh.. Love how you pay attention to the little things! Real talk Big homie, ya shit is FIRE🔥🔥🔥

Damn I am in the wrong biz... pearls 25$ a gram and up. I am lucky to get 8$ a gram home grown lol
WHY? DUMB SHIT NO ONE CARES.... GET A JOB!!!
FCK THEM🔝, KEEP GROWING YOUR MEDS💪💪
🤣🤣🤣✊️
this one's going in my playlist..
Thanks for adding it DW Red
I use the clear binder and 10 grams metallic stabilizer. Since most pearls now are a micha, they are metallic in nature. I can normally get 20 grams of pearls to suspend in in a quart of clear binder. You have to do a mist/drop coat to get it to lay right but it works. Are you going to do the chameleon next? I am really curious how it works.
TheNicoderm where to buy the pearls thanks
@@Mojoe713 I make paint for a living so I order the powders from a vendor but you can jump on amazon and search automotive pearls, they'll pop right up.
I'm gonna paint some chameleon on some fiberglass on my next vid. It's gonna flip from Blue to Green
Gives it a nice effect.
Thanks Matt / Bucks WoodShop
Badass. Why I been sub'd to you for awhile. Great info as always.👍
Thanks Ryan
A1 job bruh...what pressure was u spraying at? Looks like u had a pretty fine pattern coming out..mine be kinda thick when I've done it
Thanks man..30 psi
I'ma def try this out this spring concept before I try spraying a whole car...that pearl made them colors pop hard...good looking on this vid I been following ya work for yrs but I been slipping on some of the content but I'm bout to get locked in
Appreciate you fam
I NEED TO BRING U MY CAR HELL
Bring it on Reil...I know you gonna scoop you another old school pretty soon
Will the intercoat clear and ghost pearl mix stay good or will it go bad after time from storage?
It'll stay good. It's just like a base coat...whatever you don't use you can pour it back into the container.
Class in session let take out your pencil and paper 💪
Much appreciated chevy caprice
Don't you mean get out your gun and stir stick lol
Thanks for another vid. So the more pearl you apply the more noticeable the effect? Does it get to a point where it effects the base color in a negative way like totally changing it? Thanks again sprayway
Thanks for answering the question Matt. Very well explained 🤝
Wondering if Grant7 gallon would react to another kind of Intercoat before Clearing
I doubt it
Good job boo
🤣Thanks Brittany
I guess because if the camera I couldn't really see the pearl effect and I didn't see what you had done with the more expensive pearl did you even use or just the white pearl?
I just used the White ghost pearl
Where you get your speed shapes from around here the are rediculous in price for each one? nice video on the pearl I may just have to try this out but after I know how to properly use the gun and right air pressure
I got these from Dip Your Car Niko G
@@SprayWayCustoms Thanks buddy just check him out woow sweet prices let me know if you got my emails and thanks again buddy for all your infor and knowledge
Hey Spray they all look good to me. I like how that turned out. Thanks for the great tips my brother.
Thanks for watching BlackJack
Hit that box chevy trunk latch too💪
Lol...yea I had too. Thanks Exclusive Designs
are there any alternative manufacturers you have used, that produce similar products to the dip your car ZTM, which are less expensive?
No...either didspade or DYC
Awesome video sprayway as always! Very informative and appreciated 👍👊
Not a problem Gabriel
I've got tons of black epoxy primer leftover from a different job. If I reduce it and use it as a sealer.......Do you think I can spray a color shifting pearl/intercoat over that black epoxy??
Basically using the epoxy sealer as a base (to save money).
Yes you can do that. I have a video I’ll post tomorrow of me spraying a colorshift
After you mixing clear /blend with the pearl pigments is there something else that goes with it?
Great video sir definitely learning alot from your vids keep em comin bud
Thanks Ted...I gotcha
Planning to repaint my car as I am tired of my sunburst orange color. My plan is to use a speedokote bright white basecoat and this as midcoat. Do you still recommend 1 pack of the dry power pearl : 1 gallon of intercoat clear? Also, do you have any suggestion on which primer sealer to use? Thank you in advance! I am learning so much from your videos. Have a nice day!
I dont know how I missed this but dog, though you for all you do man. This video showed me alot. I gonna be painting my car a tri stage white and wanted to use the white ghost pearl. Since you sprayed it now I not not to use that pearl. Doesnt seem to really pop like I thought it would.
I see you got some pearl from DIP you car. I have to say they have a pretty impressive line of pearls from what I've seen.
I didn't like it either. I really like my colors to pop. Yes the Supershift from DYC are the best
@@SprayWayCustoms can you tell me more about that intercoat you used? What the difference between that and urekem's standard intercoat?
What I used in this video is actually a binder. It's nothing but a clear basecoat with no color pigment. It lays down smooth like a base coat.
@@SprayWayCustoms if you get the chance, i'd like to see how urekem's satin clear kit works and looks. There's not a whole lot of videos on satin finishes, mostly just DIP and satin paint videos. I think they have a high sheen, dull sheen, and a matte satin but that matte satin just looks like plain matte to me.
It would be nice to find a computer program where I could mix colors on my PC. I want to see a white primer with three layers of clear with a glow in the dark pigment mixed into it. Then I would put a top coat over it. I also want to see an aquamarine mixed with pearl white.
That would be nice
Great video, but you didn’t say “Imma cutcha back on” 😭😭
Lol...Im pretty sure Im gonna say it in my next vid. Thanks 🙏🏽
Yeah I was waitin for the catch phrase hehe
I gotta put that on a shirt ..🤣🤣reaper-999
That'd be sweet
I sure was waiting for it myself A Palmer. 👍🏾
best instructional video out there..... TY Spraywaycustom...
Much appreciated
I really liked this video really like the fx you can get with custom paint you are a really good teacher. I'll wait till the next episode and I can learn something new.
Thanks man
How long should we let paint dry before applying pearl coat? And do we need to scuff the paint before applying clear
15-20 mins…no you don’t have to scuff if you shooting it within the window
I will be spraying a 59 Rambler American Super with "Royal Plum Purple" . What color base and pearl should I use?
Not sure what effect you going for??
Hi, that clear coat was mixed with hardenner after? Because i didn't see that part
Yes it was
Thanks for sharing. Is that intercoat/binder ready to shoot from the can or do you reduce it?
When using Binder you don't add any hardener? Just Pearls or Flake
No binder is basically a clear base coat that just needs reducing 2:1
@@SprayWayCustoms ok great, thank you
I know this video is old but I need some insight. I sprayed my street truck with Rust-Oleum gloss white looks pretty good. Will the intercoat/binder cause a chemical reaction I have a similar ghost pearl like in the video and what kind of clear coat can I use
It's a possibility but it may not. I use Urekem Binder
I learn so much from your channel man. Going to have to look into doing this on a valvecover or something small.
I also have some ideas on a front bumper project that I want to do. Anyway I can contact you for input? If not I understand and know you're busy.
spraytime123@gmail.com You can send me an email. I gotta catch up on my emails also...lol
Hey sprayway what’s gun do you recommend for single stage satin paint under $200?
DeVilbiss Finishline
Great vid bro
Thanks Drezilla car customs
What brand of binder do you use and where can it be purchased?
Sprayway stay Dropping game
Thanks Jbiz _
That pearl looked good on the black speed shape. Pearls especially ghost pearls are quite difficult to paint and get right when your looking for a particular style and color pop I prefer chameleon pearls or paint graphics on then over reduce the base for a ghost graphics effect now that's an awesome effect and takes a bit of practice to achieve. Keep up the great work bro, and I saw that latch you painted lol which one of the projects that be from hehe.
Thanks reaper-999. The latch is for the Box Chevy Caprice
I knew it but wasn't sure hehe that beast gonna look good when done bro
Oh I want my motorcycle tank the green color! Just spray paint? Then the pearl did you do any this other then scotch bright
Just sanded with scotch-brite
Thanx 4 all th game, good shit homie
Thanks for giving me the opportunity
Im guessing those 3 wrinkled because they were lacquer based?
Yes, a reaction
Great Video #GREATNESS... Love to tune into you work and Videos brutha... #SprayWayCustoms
Thanks Arthur
I used the trie stage pearl paint from the coating store I have put two coats of clear on it already ..What if I want to add another pearl color to it is it possible to spray the pearl over the clear that's already sprayed
Yes that can be done
Can you mix multiple pearls to make custom mix?
Yes you can RastaNation
How many grams of the ztn do you need for a 98 trans am convertible?
Teach em big dawg
What up Rin Tin Tin 👍🏾
You know I got a page on PWP
Yes..I seen it one day I was searching on Google Rin Tin Tin
SprayWayCustoms yeah man I’ve been using them for years now
