    I'm looking forward to following along. I'm wanting to buy a Lancair 320/360 or Legacy so it will be neat to see how you progress.

      Make sure you read up about the different wings and cockpit size when comparing the 320/360 vs the Legacy. There’s quite a bit changed.

      Thanks Mark, the builder did an amazing job with this thing and I am fortunate to have it. I’ve been trying to fly it a lot and keep getting more & more comfortable and learn something new every day.

    I can’t even believe I see old style (high drag and high amp-draw) incandescent Nav/Strobe lights on the wingtips of this otherwise, top notch performance plane! The good news is, upgrading those to modern, attractive, low drag, electrically efficient LEDs can be your first easy, low-cost and satisfying personalization of YOUR new flying machine- Congratulations 😎🎩♠️

    WOW! JUST WOW! SOOO HAPPY FOR you! 😊 The country up there is beautiful. I live in Central Florida about an hour and a half north of the Freedom Factory and it looks nothing like that of course. Free snow removal here though! Lol! Still hoping for the Sprint Boat Track there! As Always, May God Bless you and yours! 😇

    Nice plane, first thing you need to do is install a rocket propelled airplane parachute if ever you engine quits mid flight & you have nowhere to land safely one of those can save you & your passenger's lives.

    • @JollyRogerAviation
      @JollyRogerAviation  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not sure you can just install those. They’re built into the cirrus

      @@JollyRogerAviation Mike Patey built one into Scrappy, if he can do it to Bush Plane made of new & used parts that he created himself then you can do the same as you fabricate your own stuff too.

  • @DanFrederiksen
    @DanFrederiksen 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    It's a sleek capable plane. Among the best available, it could just be lighter and have more modern engines and a chute. Much faster than Cirrus SR22 and vastly cheaper. I have a 1.5kg reserve chute from paragliders that's nice to have as a backup. Drysuit too for going over water.
    What we really need is sleek planes like Lancairs but with small turbofan jet engines. And pressurized to take advantage of thin air. Then we have private jet freedom for modest money. It's a completely overlooked segment and so obvious.

    • @JollyRogerAviation
      @JollyRogerAviation  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I do like the idea of small turboprops for their reliability

    • @DanFrederiksen
      @DanFrederiksen 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@JollyRogerAviation turboprop is actually the worst of both worlds. typically very expensive and complex yet remains the single engine front colonial propeller noise, visual obstruction and lesser look. Jet is quiet, smooth and lends itself naturally to dual engine redundancy. A turbofan jet is much simpler than a turboprop. and difference in fuel economy is modest if any

      Mostly ‘37’s for Canadian back in the day. Then they were bought out by Air Canada which had airbus 320’s and others. He was a mechanic, not flight crew. Worked on the engines and avionics.
      Miss the days of being able to get tours and walk the hangar.
      Retired as a contractor signing off on the maintenance done at their hubs like tel aviv etc.

    The use of the speed brakes are used to slow down but you are forgetting you DO NOT want to chop thr power at altitude and “shock cool the engine ! That is where the speed brakes come in
