Hey there, how was doing? This is Kali from Techfanciers. So, in this video we will seeing how to convert or swap our sd card as internal memory on ASUS Zenfone Lite L1, Live L1 and Live L2. So Lets get started.

Steps to achieve:
Here's the tutorial :
• Install the ADB & Fastboot first, after the download finished, open the file named "cmd-here.exe"
• Type "adb shell" then enter.
• Type "sm list-disks" then enter.
• Then the words "disk: xxx,xx" will appear. Example "disk:179,64" will appear.
• Then type "sm disk partition: xxx,xx private" xxx,xx is replaced according to the number that appears on your device, on my device the number is 179,64. Then i type "sm partition disk:179,64 private" then hit enter.

TO ACTIVATE:
Now open the Android Setting-Storage-SD Card-click the triple dot icon in the upper right corner-change type of storage-Use As Internal Storage-then hit Next (this process will format the SD card and takes about 10 minutes and also makes the SD card read-only on the device where the SD card is formatted.
TO RESTORE:
To restore the SD card as before, just format it as portable storage. After it's finished, we can now move the application installation to the SD card.
ADDITIONAL, MAY IT HELPS:
If the tutorial above shows that the SD card will become fully internal memory, it can't create files, photos and more. Now if you want to make it can create files, photos, music, videos and more do this: When in the section type "sm partition disk:xxx.xx", example you want to use 75% for portable storage, then type like this: "sm partition disk:179,64 mixed 75". The addition of "mixed 75" means: we use 75% for portable storage (photos, music, files, etc.), 25% for internal (application and data). You can set the mixed percentage as you need, example again: if you want to use 50% of SD card is for internal and 50% for portable, type "sm partition disk:179,64 mixed 50" [50% for portable (photos, music, files, etc) and 50% for internal (applications)].

I got the error in the end, and my internal storage shows as before, but it works. Apps are getting downloaded and installed to the SD card. Thanks a million.
Awesome now I get the option to change internal storage to sd/card from...Settings>..Apps on Samsung A01 also when I download an app It downloads straight to sd/card thanks for the video
@@youtubegoodvibes3013 I just followed along with the video and the option to do it was there after i take out sd card and put back in go to settings then Apps click on any app then click storage there It gave me option saying (change) it only appeared after i followed the steps in video hope that helps
It only makes your internal and sd card merge together but nothing really happens like mine
I heard that making a sd card work like this makes the phone very slow and damages the sd card by trying to make it work faster.They suggested me to stick to what I have or by doing this I might lose this too.I'm in a dilemma😂😇
Confirmed Works on LG V60, after doing so,the capacity not gonna be increased and still use Internal defaultly, but open Settings-Apps and choose that app (PUBG) and select storage, the SD Card Showed up and able to move it up to SD Card, Works like Charm but tricky and not adding the capacity (on setting), but showed on Partition List as F2FS ,could be really helpful because ii'am planning to buy an 512GB MicroSD

Bro, it might be because of the file system crash. Just Put the card in PC and then delete the partition and recreate it using Mini Tool partition or somthing any tool similar to that.

@Im SadFaceFun moto e2 (2015), it worked for like a month, i transfered a bunch of apps they all run, a bit slower than usual but they worked. couple days ago apps on the sd stoped, and had to move them to the internal storage to launch them.

I have a redmi 7a, and I formatted my 32 gb sd as internal directly from xiaomi ui. Now I can see internal memory has increased. But the issue is the system still flashes "storage space running out". It is not allocating items to sd card automatically and I'm also unable to transfer files to sd card myself as I don't see sd card anymore. Do you have a solution for this?

Go to developers option and go in last then enable options says allow app to move/install on sdcard..
Now go to settings,apps and move every app which u installed on sdcard to free some storage...

H I have the following issue. The ADB commands run well, but when I restart my phone I have a message saying "card corrupted" and of course it doesn't merge. Is there a solution ?
Check card's filesystem. It should be FAT32. Insert ur sd in Cardreader, put into PC, In properties you can find it. If it shows some other Filesystem, format it to FAT32. It might fix the problem.

Why is the internal storage is still the same? Yes, it looks like the internal and SD Card are merged because you can see it in your file manager but when you download apps that needed to be installed in internal storage , the internal storage is still full. So how come the internal storage become larger than before?

@@jacquesxandersp.burgos1713 i've surfed to XDA developer forum and another tutorial related to this, and found out that it actually works even though my sd card isn't detected by the phone anymore! it means it had merged with the internal storage and the number showed it inaccurately, sticking to the original one, and it's a normal case, they said. here's a tips from me, change the "sm partition disk:xxx private" into "sm partition disk:xxx mixed yy". yy = how many percent you want your sd card to be partitioned and not merged with internal storage. like example, my sd card is 64 gb and i used "sm partition disk:xx mixed 40" because i want 40% of it to be a portable one and can be the place i save some file visibly. the 60% that merged with the internal storage is no longer visible so it's hard when i wanted to restore the file in it before. i used the 40% of 64 gb sd card for that. my phone has 32 gb storage and it has been used for 24 gb (after i deleted some apps for this purpose, it was used around 28-29 gb before). i downloaded the apps again and the storage that has been used doesn't change, it sticks to 24 gb! i checked the app through Link2SD and it was said that the apps that i redownload after doing this were stored in the sd card! i hope this can be helpful for those who's stuck after the video!

Hi i try this in a samsung galy tab a8(10.5" 2022). i was able to split the sd card in a 50-50. but the expanded memory never showed . i used the command df -h.. and the expanded was no where to be found is thre any work arround, ???

Yo, u can do this on the majority of Android phones/tablets. I did it with my Galaxy Tab S7+ and my Galaxy Tab A7 and it worked ;)

Check the partition in Disk Manager in windows or use minitool partition. Just delete the sdcard and allocated to FS again. Everything will be fine!

Yes, it formats the sdcard as it is changing the entire filesystem.

any idea why mine if failing to alter from portable to internal? everything works as i followed setps but upon private_ press enter it wats a second, goes to next line awaiting new command. phne did not alter its memory. it shows 4.09 internal, (portable) sandisk sd card 58.53gb ... and at top shows 3.47gb used of 4.09gb ...its my sons phne, alba 4 phone. do i need to do anything bar enable developer settings, enable usb debugging? please advise

Yes, it converts to different FS. so the Sd won't be read in any other device or stand alone. You can use through your phone only. That's why it is advisable to use class 10 for to avoid crashes. And make sure to backup thing regularly.
