I always thought the same about Charlie Weis. Was built up as the best cfb coach ever before even a snap at Notre Dame, and then had a pretty lackluster tenure at ND.
From the outside looking in I felt everybody had a problem with his contract. Kind of the same thing that went on with Jon Gruden. Once he wasn't living up to your expectations you start looking for reasons to get out of that said contract. I don't think he even asked for that contract but instead of raking the University over the coals you put him under a microscope. Even though the relationship was good between both parties you got him on a technicality because you weren't happy with what you were getting for your 100 million. Jim Harbaugh was smart not to take a huge contract like that or he would've been toast too before beating Ohio State two years in a row. Coaches need more than 4 to get their guys in but never take a contract over 7 or 8 years because the money will always mess thins up.
Mike and Rico need to admit they were wrong about Ryan Day and what he meant about "one bad half." There is a whole ass video with Ryan Day further explaining he was talking about the half "up in Ann Arbor." Be men and admit on radio you were wrong. Come hold this L Rico.

There's a good chance they go for a squeaky clean lower level successful type coach. They will probably be a little shy on putting out 8mil or more a year.
It will take the betterment of 10 YEARS for MSU to get on track. It is not just getting a new coach it is the RECRUTMENT. IT will take the pretty much 10 YEARS for MSU to be able to RECRUT young men to play football there. The TRUST is gone. What parent will trust MSU with their child's athletic career? This has been such a bizarre season. I was hoping for 6 or 7 wins, but it is in far worse condition than I expected. All 3 phases of the game look bad and fundamentally unsound. With Tuck gone, the coaches knew before Game 3 that all may all be coaching elsewhere next year, and the players know that too. So odd.

I would love to hear what you had to say about Brady Hoke when he won the sugar bowl with Rich Rod's recruits. Winning will fool literally anyone. Fact is Tuck won 11 games and had a very good season and built some success here in a small amount of time. I equate it to a girl dating a really nice guy in HS and you have to break up because of college or something(Dantonio). Amicable breakup but you're still heartbroken. Then she goes to college and meets the frat guy with the motorcycle(Tuck) and is great in bed. They have a fun few years but then she finds out he's been banging her friend. Messy breakup, super toxic but a clean break. We're at that point now as State fans, shocked, but glad it's over and ready to move on with our lives.

I would love to hear what you had to say about Brady Hoke when he won the sugar bowl with Rich Rod's recruits. Winning will fool literally anyone. Fact is Tuck won 11 games and had a very good season and built some success here in a small amount of time. I equate it to a girl dating a really nice guy in HS and you have to break up because of college or something(Dantonio). Amicable breakup but you're still heartbroken. Then she goes to college and meets the frat guy with the motorcycle(Tuck) and is great in bed. They have a fun few years but then she finds out he's been banging her friend. Messy breakup, super toxic but a clean break. We're at that point now as State fans, shocked, but glad it's over and ready to move on with our lives.
