I would love more art supply reviews. Like watercolors, acrylic markers, guache, colored pencils, what printer you use to print your fuckery flowers prints cause those are so gorgeous! Also, any chronic illness tips and tricks. I started following you for the planners but I stayed for the lessons Ive learned from you like how rest is productive. :) But I will watch anything you put up lol. Happy Holidays.
I keep thinking about trying blackout journaling but deciding against it due to practicality reasons (I like being able to write in it with whatever pen I have) but if I ever do try it I'll know which pens NOT to buy. :D
Thanks for the review! I was really interested in the Flair Metallic, and I appreciate the fair and honest review! I also have the Zigg metallic dot/regular tip markers and they are AMAZING. Juicy, easy to control and very pretty. They show up well without looking like a kid art project glitter mess. I also have the Gelly Roll Stardust, Moonlight (?), and glitter (yeah, I’ll grab shiny every day!) and I love them…when they work. They dry out, clog up, railroad (write slowly and then they don’t.) I’ve had particularly bad experiences with the pink color, and sometimes the purple and all the others will be fine. I would recommend the Uni Signo 1.0 Metallic set over the Gelly Roll. With the set you also get plain black and white (that white pen will cover all boo boo’s so well) and 8 (?) metallic including gold, silver, copper/bronze. They are beautiful, they flow extremely well, and they have enough metallic to look great but not OTT. Caveat with them is they take a while to dry and are easily smeared, so be careful. I wouldn’t use them for general writing, but they are great decorating envelopes, making headers in planners, etc. Oh! Neither the Zigg nor the Uni Signo bleed through TRP Sanzen and pop great on the page.
This made me haul out my Flairs to use to plan this week. Not dried out but a few had chunkies on the tips. Heh. Easy to clean off. I keep forgetting how much I love them.
I love Papermate flairs. Might have to try these. I wanted to try dot pen, and while pursing Amazon, I found that Ohuhu has dual tip dot markers. I should be getting them today and I'm so excited. Their alcohol markers seen to do really well, so I have high hopes.
Have you tried any Ferris Wheel Press items? Fountain pens, ballpoint and lots of different inks. You might like some of their stuff. I don’t work for them by the way. Lol
Well, now I need to add those brush pens to the wishlist. I was trying to resist after the live LOL I agree with you on missing an orange. It looks off.
There is a set I bought off amazon, brand Mumu art that are a fine tip felt pen on one side and then a brush tip on the other that are pretty decent and a range of colors.. do I still want to buy the paper mate flair ones, yep.. also the gelly roll comment made me giggle :)
Since I normally use fountain pens (with a huge stockpile of various inks) I wasn't prepared for the ideas on how I could use them with my fountain pen monthly selection in my planners. These are going on my 2024 To Buy list asap!

I don't know that I would use the brush side, but I may need to check out some of the other colors of flair pens. ✍

Tombow brush pens are better than these Paper Mate flair dual brush pens. These Paper Mate brush pens aren't all that smooth.
I returned the metallic set. They suck. Very disappointing!
