Having played BG1 and 2 and knowing the lore, when Minsc called her his Wychlaran, I legitimately started crying. This moment was SO POWERFUL, and the writers and actors did SUCH a good job.
I do find it sad. Both of them lost their better half to a mad wizard and now they are all they have from that time in their life. Before the tragic lose.
so, my character is a gnome, so after Minsc says the "evil presents it's buttocks good smack the cheecks", it pans to Jaheira cheecks front and center...
Meanwhile Jaheiras tent has herbs and plants, so you know she is making him some healing potion when she has the chance and shoving it in his backpack because he will forget to buy any
Matt Mercer did an amazing voicing Minsc. I mean, I wouldn't have expected less, listening to his voices all these years, but it's amazing all the same.
Probably not canon just like how it confirmed one of the romances isn't Canon because of where the character ends up in bg3 (won't spoil it because game is still new)
Minsc? He got turned into a statue for about a century or so, which prevented him from aging. When you go to Jaheira's house in the game, you can find clippings of the city paper that says something about his statue being removed from its socket and showing signs of battle where it used to be. The cult took his statue, reverted the petrification effect and had a shapeshifter pretend to be Jaheira so they could brainwash Minsc and use him to overthrow the Guild. You can also find a note on one of the shapeshifter after you kill them that mentions that Orin was keeping Boo, his miniature giant space hamster, hostage to help coerce him and when they were done with him, it's implied that she was planning to turn Boo into soup and feed it to Minsc, just to break his mind before she killed him. Pretty dark stuff.
@@Xylarxcode in act 1 you can find a note on a board somewhere about “return our beloved ranger statue”, turns out that was actually Minsc and Boo, but you don’t find that out until act 3. But I thought that was a really cool hint to give in the game, I was actually expecting “find the statue” to be a side quest in act 3 and to find it in some basement or something.
@@Xylarxcodeno minsc was freed from petrification due to a sorcerers wild magic surge during a battle in the market square several years prior to the events of bg3. "I fight alongside fools" has the same energy as "I'm surrounded by idiots"

Same!! I was like "Jaheira why are you disagreeing with him?!"
And then a few days later Mincs starts calling everyone his Wychlaran, because he thinks it means "friend" LMAO

Ah, those two... if I didn't already know their long history, I'd say they were quarreling no differently than a married couple.
More like an older sister and a younger brother. She basically babysits him lol

Had no idea Minsc' voice is Matt Mercer, the guy is next level xD

I love Jaheira, not romantically but when she calls me cub 🥺

dude that’s Matt?? His vocal range is AMAZING. Had no clue that was Matt.
It's so nice to see these two again after such a long time.

'This city is queer place'
Yeah, Minsc, the game is too, though
Neutral Good vs Chaotic Good, everybody.
Minsc is a little more "Brain Damaged Good", than either Lawful or Neutral
Didn't know Gene Simmons was in the game as well.
I LOVE the line "good does not wait for evil to button up its britches." Such a good quote

Ahhhh, I played BG1 and BG2, "go for the eye's Boo!"
In BG3 you can throw Boo, and they say the line!
I didn't know BG3 had Juggalos. Whoop whoop
god minsc is such a fucking legend.
What a lovely couple

Wrong, Dynaheir was his witch.
Aerie is probably dead, she had tissue paper fortitude and someone got tired of reviving her.
@@teoadventures2564Dynaheir was his witch, but Minsc asks Aerie if she would be his Witch in BG2, and she accepts. Not sure if Canon though :)

Actually... I started to hope those two would finish in the same bed before the credits. They are very cute together.
I think they’re more like brother and sister than anything else. They both lost their partners to the bad guy in previous games.
