    A tutorial showing how I make my disc brake photo-etch pieces more realistic. In reality, disc brakes are usually shiny and filled with round scratches, and in this tutorial I'm showing how you can add this type of finish to your scaled disc brakes too!
    Warning: Always use eye protection while the rotary tool is operating. Pressing hard on the rotating disc might make it fly away from the sanding disc, so always work safe.
    Video shows all the steps from start to finish, including all the required items to achieve a great result.
    Have a look and let me know what you think! If anything is not clear enough, feel free to ask by writing a comment. Also, let me know your opinion so that I could always improve my future videos.

    Great tutorial Karl. I’ll use it the next time I use some PE brakes. Your attention to the small details really makes your finished models shine!

    Where do I get the photo etchings and everything else I need

    • @KarlScaleModeling
      @KarlScaleModeling  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The photo etch are always purchased according to the model car I'm building. Sometimes it's made by the same manufacturer or aftermarket. Usually I make an online search for the photo etch of the car I'm building and buy that. These attach on top of the original disc brake. All other items mentioned in this video were bought from hobby shops (rotary tool and sandpaper) or a hardware store (drill bit attachements). Hope that helps.
