@Luke Skywalker hello future me I'm so glad to see you. I'm never getting of this planet is for sure.😞 Uncle Owen won't let me go to tosche station it just isn't fair😠
The hero arc is perfect in Luke. He is almost unlikable, whiny, arrogant, and by the end of the first film, he's seen a lot. Dead parental figures, dead mentor who cared for him, a girl he cares for (that got awkward), and a friend he thought abandoned him but came back.
He was never unlikable 🥺 He's just a little bit ADHD, a little bit a nerd, a little bit a farmboy, a little bit a twink. And it was always a nice combination. Although he really grows up as a character: into a good warrior and a qualified drama queen.
Started as angry and dymanic Teenager farmer, Egocentric and reckless Rebel, to an peaceful, wise and serene Jedi. The funny thing about the sequels, they mimicked the OT in many things just for the cheap nostalgic fanservice and fear to inovate, but they forgot the characters development. Take note Disney, it wasn't the fact the protagonist was a woman, the main problem was the character development, if Rey had some evolution through the movies as Luke, fail and learn process, she would or could be one of the fan favs.
I heard that that line was actually just Mark Hamill saying that to Harrison Ford candidly cause he didn't know the cameras were rolling and he actually couldn't fucking see lmfao. but idk if there's any truth to that
I think Luke knew Obi-Wan for a long time maybe even childhood as Obi-wan was instructed to watch over him. So he most likely saw Obi-Wan as a grandpa or an old uncle.
yea he's more like an eccentric uncle to Luke I think. Obi-Wan even saved Luke from some danger (i forgot what) and delivered him back home, only to be shouted at and pushed away by Owen Lars. guess Owen thought Obi-Wan=trouble and was protective of the kid I'm sure Luke always kinda liked Ben too, cause he's so eager to learn about his father, and travel beyond Tatooine, and obv there's no one else other than Ben that could tell him about these things
This is an example of Luke's character development throughout the original trilogy. He goes from a whiny, bratty farm boy in Episode IV to a mature Jedi warrior by Episode VI. *That's* how you develop a character-not like that Mary Sue bullshit they did with Rey in the Disney sequels. 🙄
He was a whiner... never thought about it till this ... now I see Ryan Tiny Johnson viewpoint @3.5 yrs old he saw SW with his Dad & wanted to make films from thereon-in... hence his version of hermit Luke And probably only time he watched it!
Luke Skywalker... the angriest twink in the galaxy
bitch me too the fuck
The lass with the sass
Whiniest*
The drama is just IN HIS BLOOD. He's destined to wear chanel boots
He was always going to wear the Chanel boots 🙏🏻
These are just all of luke's lines hahaha
what can I say, he's always being Luke
you could almost say he's always being true and himself, like heroic
I love episode IV Luke sm. He's the embodiment of my 16 year old angry sassy whiny self. Love him.
He's such a whiny baby I love him
In the French dub when Yoda is messing with his stuff on Dagobah Luke says "shit".
We were ROBBED in English, let Luke swear!!!!
God I love Luke Skywalker
especially the renewed Luke

Character development at its finest tbh
Back then some people might have believe she loves him as a brother.
It was perfect... until the last trilogy.

She needed the black twink outfit from RotJ to complete her arc
1:03 No wonder why Stormtroopers have such comically bad aim.
