We bought a house in Ky. We found a house we could afford ,went to bank borrowed the money and paid for the house. Then paid bank back. I got 5 acres in Texas now. The property was 500.00. 2 dirkson cabins. One 10 by 16. One 26 by 20 . 12.000. So for 12.500.00. i got 5 acres and 2 cabins. Who only wants one acre ? End up with neighbors close enough to spit on your porch. And hear everything you say. May as well move into an apartment.
We were retired & traveling as full time RVing lifestyle for 12 years, but always keeping our eyes out for a place to settle back down in someday. We found ours out in Paducah KY area (house w/ sun porch - 2 car garage on 1/2 acre) so we was able to pay cash (had it in the bank waiting) and settled down in 39 days!
