I thought so too but the total handwashing time is 20 seconds including drying them. 15 seconds for scrubbing. I've seen this same thing on many practice tests.
Hot water should be 100°F; Scrub fingernails and between fingers for 10 to 15 Seconds. Use running water , the whole process should take at least 20 seconds@@Polishspring

I was trying to use state food safety to open up my own food establishment if i only knew the nightmare of what was to come. i spent almost $200 on the training and exam and didn't even get a chance to take the test. so I thought its ok ill call and see if they could help me after 5 call and being left on hold for an hour I had the pleasurer of talking to Dario who a least pretended to care and Nancy who could care less and was given the run around. sadly I'm still waiting on a refund my advice go with someone else - 5 star for these crooks.

the question is scrubbing not washing. scrub 10 sec. wash 20 sec. the answer here is correct.
