No one better on earth than him!...I've looked up to David Attenborough for years and still love his works. He continues to change the world for the better although most just seem to disregard his concerns. I hope we as a species do come together in the end and save this beautiful planet that he grew up exploring and documenting for the world to see and learn about. #LongLiveDavidAttenborough
You should watch more attenborough earlier documentary like a blank on the map. His latest docs are great and look luxuary and cinematic, but the old ones are more memorable with less music and the visual just looks more intimate and raw. I am Indonesian so mu english is not perfect
This video is interesting and it shows black and white footage from one of David Attenborough's expeditions to Madagascar to collect lemurs, tenrecs and chameleons for the London Zoo in 1961.
It's really cool that all this Zoo Quest footage is suddenly surfacing. I remember a bit in David Attenboroughs memoirs where he mused that because they were broadcast live, there probably wasnt any copy of them.
60 years ago... It’s hard to conceive, but he’s still at it. 😯 I saw a recent one he did from Madagascar about Elephant birds and the smallest primates on earth.
They sound so sinister. Could you imagine if you knew nothing about this place or the animals that inhabit it, and you decide to take a walk, alone, in the forest and you heard something like that?!? I'd crap my pants and demand to be taken home, lolol!
Love this man, he's the voice of earth 🌎.
Hey arthur, we need more MUNEH TO GET TO TAHITI. I just need you to have some GODDAMN FAITH SON.

What an incredible privilege Sir David Attenborough has, living such a wonderful and fascinating life.
More of these please. They're so focused on the animals and not blaring music over the voices. It's nice
Agree. I absolutely hate the trend of putting music in the background of everything. Its a pleasure to listen to ambient noises.

Watching wild without any background music and narration by the legend is the best feeling 💯

How nice, taken when i was not yet born. The time or years of black and white cameras. Salute to Mr. David Attenborough.

David Attenborough saw nature's past and future
This video is interesting and it shows black and white footage from one of David Attenborough's expeditions to Madagascar to collect lemurs, tenrecs and chameleons for the London Zoo in 1961.
Even that long ago he was already such a good narrator
Dog headed man part was scary af just like a horror movie with the background music.
th-cam.com/video/_AIJ2FJNKkU/w-d-xo.html
yeah the chills... the fact that this is a rather old recording makes it much more horrifying xD

So fascinating! Absolutely amazing!
97 years young in 2023 !! 🎉💪❤️
I didn’t realise flip flops were around in 1961😂
Hats off for the old man.
Great
It's crazy to think of that this man was around my age in 1965 and he's still going strong
Absolutely wonderful!
And just imagine... Sir David wearing flip-flops, lol!
Very cool to see a young, and quite handsome David Attenborough.
Got one like this at home... 😁😁😁
Here i was thinking that the black animal in the thumbnail was given the Title of "Sir" David Attenborough!

The best part was the destruction of the poachers trap!
Really nice 💅💅
How common were the indris during the filming of this doc? Were they critically endangered, endangered, vulnerable, or near threatened?
Imagine Morgan Freeman and sir David Attenborough documenting your life...
I can't remember having any super glue in 1961... so sticky tape it had to be!

I just spent several minutes watching a man gluing egg together with adhesive tape.
Didn't regret a single second of it.

Good job, sir! By dismantling that trap you saved the lemur above from being displayed in a butcher shop!
This is the classic stuff. From those animals in black and white.
One comment section where we all agree: canonize this dude already.
Yep😍🤗😘agree💛💚me too
The animals alive today are probably dozens of generations away from the ones seen in this show
They sound so sinister. Could you imagine if you knew nothing about this place or the animals that inhabit it, and you decide to take a walk, alone, in the forest and you heard something like that?!? I'd crap my pants and demand to be taken home, lolol!
10:52 this dude shitting bricks to the audio their playing lol
All people are great; ultimately its his behaviour
His voice is bit different back then.
This was before the superglue era
Mate has his name tattoed on his ankle ✊
Looks like someone had red bull and coffee for breakfast, lol!
Reminds human beings is such an invasive species, and Madagascar a graveyard of once great mega fauna.
11:10 they sound like geese lol
th-cam.com/video/_AIJ2FJNKkU/w-d-xo.html
That’s the egg! It’s so weird to see that egg almost 70 years later being carbon dated. It’s not only a part of history it’s a part of his history
