One night I was DJing at Club 5 in Jacksonville resident DJ, Jody wisternoff and infusion where there and after our sets they gave me a ton of white labels and this happened to be one of them and I'm proud to have it! I've seen many covers that this one is the best.
What an awesome story! I'd love to have had something similar happen to me. I sold my decks, mixer, and vinyl to a good friend years ago, and I really miss it all. I've got a Numark Mixtrack Pro, but the tactile feeling is NOTHING like vinyl.
I bought this as a white label vinyl when it first came out and still have it. Now almost 20 years later I play it to my 10 year old daughter who's hooked on 'Stranger Things'. She likes this remix almost as much as the original. A multi-generational classic that will never die.
This song is the best remix of the original track in existence. There's no easy way to clean up and isolate the vocals/instrumental and attempting to remix this track is a nightmare. Kate Bush needs to get her label to release an instrumental and an acapella for this track so the producers of the world can make better remixes of the song. A remix brought a decades-old Elton John track back to the top of the charts and labels need to do everything they can to facilitate remixing.
I just checked Discogs and price of this vinyl sky rocketed. Its most likely because of Stranger Things. Lucky i bought it in early 200s too and its probably one off copy.
Easily the best remix of this tune. Bass line is a killer!!! I was looking for this one on TH-cam for long time even though I still have a this vinyl in somewhere in my collection.
Wow! Been looking for this mix for a while....I only knew it as a white label mix Forgot about it until watching Stranger Things recently....looked up for remixes and this popped up...one of the best mixes ever of this ..

I'm an 80's kid who loves 80's music but Kate Bush's Running up That Hill was never one that held much nostalgia. Even decades later when I heard this mix on a Gareth Emery set I kept listening over and over still not connecting it's familiarity. Wasn't until it got popular from Stranger Things that I gave it a listen. I don't even watch Stranger Things. Once the "come on darlin" hits in the original I'm like wait a freaking second, I know this. Haha, few hours later here I am finding the track I heard on that set. It's so good.
I actually didn't watch 'Stranger Things' until Summer 2021 when everyone was going on about it on Reddit. & started with the recent Season 3. I loved it! I watched Season 2 & then 1 this past Spring, was it? & then finally watched Season 4 Part 1 & Part 2 when it premiered this past summer. I actually didn't know there was a remix of this song until I started listening to old GDBC sets (Markus Schulz) & heard him play it. I was like: "...wait a second. Where do I know this from? There's a remix of this?!"
Well that was a flashback. Played it till exhaustion back in the day. Got a digital from Jamie when he played for us in Lisbon, never got my hands on the vinyl but can't complain lol

Not true ;) Originaly 10 copies were pressed only, but someone did more copies and pressed like dozen of them. friend told me they sold at least 200copies in his vinyl store back then :)
@@progressiveastronaut Correct. Cass (from Cass & Slide) helped finish this track and got 10 copies pressed only which went out to Tenaglia, Sasha, Digweed, Tong, Warren, Seamen and some others. Now whose to say they didn't press more and keep it quiet :D Positiva tried to release it officially but Bush's team flat out turned it down.
