Dude I discovered your channel waaaay back when you had just finished Asteria and my immediate reaction when seeing the last episode of the series was "Wow. I don't think I have ever seen anyone build like this guy, how is he not the top recommended CS youtuber ?". We're in 2023 and the question still stands, unanswered... To learn that you're going to rebuild Asteria after all this time seriously brought a tear to my eye; it brings back so many memories of a time that really means something special to me personnally. Keep up the great work, I'll keep supporting you even if you take a 10-years long break from youtube.
These videos are an absolute work of art. The images combined with the music are a peaceful oasis for those whose lives aren't going too well. Thank you.
All it takes to impress anyone with your build is a good shot of the railway with a train traveling over it going through your classical fantasy tiered city. Beautiful work like always.
iam not too worried about cities skylines, it will still be played after csl2's release just because of how much time a real city build requires. people are not going to abandon the game just like this because of the humongeous workshop stuff cities skylines is already a legacy game. sure we will test cl2 out but it will need some time to get where cities skylines already is. let's just say i am really excited for the coming years. at least this is going well in a world that seems to become increasingly worrysome.
Yeah, I think both games will be able to coexist during a long time. At the same time, I know that PDX is very close from its community and will consider the modding part too.
@@atys sure they are not going to abandon that model that made cities skylines great. quite the oposite i guess they will probably aid with lots of editors at the launch of csl2. i just would wish to know how the map editor is going to look like...
@@atys I would be lying if I said that I haven't thought about that too hahaha makes me want to explore everything! using the first person mod on cars, zeppelins or pedestrians can give another perspective! It's not the same but it's something 🤪
My way to build don't fit well with timelapse. I just build whatever I want, and when a part is finished I make a video about it. I built 5/6 big projects/part of the city on Athalassya simultaneously

I can feel the Piltoverish influence!? Did you watch Arcane? It is like you've recreated Piltover City with all that the workshop can bring you!?! If only we had more building from Lyon, this "Haussmann-Florentin" style would fit perfectly with this lore. You should try to add more colors to your building to reinforce the "multicultural" part of the city's lore. This city is amazing, brilliant!
I saw Arcane. A great series. But I didn't directly inspired from it. Even if we share some steampunk influence of course. I agree on colors. It's always difficult to find the good mix of buildings and style. And the style of Athalassya keep changing over the time. I need to keep some harmony while creating diversity to not being too boring.
modders won't have much work to do more than now on CS2 as now the game is out and we can tell that the latest assets are already good enough, some already in advance even. What would be great is the possibility for modders to make their mods and assets compatible for C2 easily, especially assets. I played few hours but een if it's better at start than CS1, it's still far behind compare to CS1 with mods. So i'll go back to CS1 for a while, looking for the first mods and assets. on a more personal note: je pense que tu devrais ralonger les sequences avec les sous-titres, les ralentir, pour qu'on puisse avoir le temps de lire et de profiter de la video, car au debut on a tout juste le temps de lire et pas du tout de regarder la video. Je pense les pousser a 18-20min serait top! comme ca on a le temps de lire tranquil et de profiter!
I sometimes feel like I should wear a suite or something more formal before watching these videos lol. I feel so under dressed right now. Doesn't feel right with the music and all the stately visuals while in boxers. 😄🎩
