Man, I played GoldenEye for years and never knew about this game... This was really ahead of its time. It's like Rareware actually wanted to enhance what they had already built... Gotta miss the old games/studios, back when devs didn't try and copy and paste games for quick bucks. They actually added to things that were already beloved.
6:54 If you use the cam spy to open the door and throw a Dragon into the room before passing under the second arch, you can kill Dr Carroll in the cut scene. (But his voice will still be there)
OMG when you were shooting them in the head I caught the chills. This game brings back so many memories for me. This is why I still have it as well as my N64 so I can play it with my friends. Remember having no expansion pak for +5 years just to get one in 2007. It felt like a whole new game.... *Cries*
@@Maltebyte2 You should've been able to play only 30% of the game (Combat Simulator and up to 2 players only). You only can do the 30 challenges and customize multiplayer. It was a small piece of the game but, I enjoyed every second of it.
This level took me forever. The stupid little robot that's supposed to unlock those lasers was just going back and forth in a circle when I reprogrammed it. Happened like three times in a row, so I look up the video and saw that you did it in the beginning of the stage and it worked when I did it.
I used to play this game all the time. Never played solo mode, always played pvp against my brother or AI. This game was awesome. The sniper that could look thru walls was the shit, rail gun if I remember correctly
I always threw down the Dragon as a proximity bomb before hacking the console. The guards spawn and immediately go boom and my hacking continues uninterrupted.
Im genuinely surprised at how cheap Perfect Dark is to get for the N64. I just picked up a complete in box copy for £11.50 on eBay. Fucking adore this games look and music.
atarirob the reason for it is because a lot of people want GoldenEye (I’m a huge bond fan myself, so obviously I woulda gone with that one) due to the multiplayer and simplicity. Perfect dark is superior in terms of content, graphics, etc. but most people wanted GoldenEye for the sheer nostalgia
John Williams well yeah no for sure. Like I said, all nostalgia. Super Mario 64 is my personal favorite Mario game and might not hold up as well as other titles, but in my eyes it’ll be the best merely just because it was my first
I might help the speed run community with somthing small of the laser grid section. I have found out when the bot slowly shuts it off there is a small fraction of a time when the fanted laser is still solid like a wall but it doesnt do any damage. I played this game to death a i thought pushing foward on the fainted laser was pretty cool. I indeed have footage of this. In VCR type
Every time I try this mission it always takes me a long time but I guess that's the good part of it. Damn, I should use this emulator instead of Project 64.
Haha, quick reply for a 7 year old video! I actually just restarted the mission and it worked this time. On my first attempt the cleaning bot just kept going in circles in that room, but still got credit for the mission.
@@TheBl0rp Haha as long as TH-cam notifies me I'll be there. If the bot kept going in circles inside the first room it must be that you didn't press one of the computers correctly or maybe accidentally double pressed it, giving you the objective completion but deactivating it again. Glad you sorted it out!
That door is locked on Agent, you don't need to go there. Only Special Agent and Perfect Agent difficulties have that objective. You can still get in there if you follow the cleaning bot at the start of the level though, but there's nothing to do in there.
You just have to photograph the isotope and go to the end of the level on Agent, so just continue to the laser grid part and everything is linear after that. Skip all the experiment shutdowns, no need to grab the glasses, and it's also not needed to grab the shield prototype at the end either, just get to Caroll.
@@Graslu00 Mission 2 is now complete, my next question is, on mission 3 how do you unlock the room on the main floor where the bazooka is, cause it says it’s locked?
