I don’t care what anyone says those old Lego Star Wars sets are still some of my absolute favorites, and I honestly prefer some of them over the newer stuff.
That is pure nostalgia! I actually found my own a few weeks ago when going through some old stuff in my parents' house. It was still surprisingly intact. Nice coincidence stumbling upon this video 👍
I still remember building mine. Bought it the first day we got it in stock at the comic book store I worked in, I got the whole wave as me agreeing to buy one of each was the only way the owner would take the gamble on stocking it. Great times.
That was one of the sets I remember trying to recreate with pieces I already had by looking at the pictures in the Lego Magazine back in the day. Talk about how hard the instructions were, try doing it without instructions at all . . . 😄
Sad thing is that Lego is going back to that instruction quality. I built today’s star fighter the other day and legit couldn’t tell if it was light gray, dark, or black.
I equally love the classic blocky look for nostalgia and the sleek newer builds for aesthetics

This is truly incredible 👏

I bought the same set a few days ago. I’m super exited. It’s my first Lego Star Wars set ever. Even though I’ve been playing with Lego for 18 years

I'm old enough to remember building an X-wing out of my own parts way before Lego StarWars was a thing
That’s so cool you came to Kansas for an episode! That’s the only bricks and Minifigs I’ve ever been to, cool set as well

Playing with this as a kid was great, I should see if I can find all the pieces to rebuild it.
I got that for Christmas in '00. I still have part of it put together.

I’ve still got this set, even the box. I might’ve modified it though 😬.
Star Wars without Disney on the box is way better .
