To those much newer to the game, I would advise you to go Kristoff’s quests. You’ll soon be able to get a stall with many useful materials from that stall like glass, sand, bricks and others that you have simply no time to craft.
Whenever I do a story quest, I have that character for a hang-out the whole time because it takes too much time to travel back to them or they go back to sleep.
A tip for Ursula and Ariel, (And any other water-locked characters that may come out,) Vitalys Crystals count as Gems. Gems give a lot of friendship, and with Vitalys Crystals being extremely easy to get, and only being worth 12 coins, they aren't really a sacrifice to use. I believe it took less than 100 crystals to get Ariel to maximum friendship, and got me a ton of Iron, Gold and Rubies and Sapphires to boot.
Thank you for this information, I have 500 of the crystals stored up, because I wanted to makr sure i had them if they were needed. I'm going to start using them
One tip I'd offer to newbies is to farm carrots, seriously, set a farm buddy and start digging out a big plot by Goofy's stall, they're ready to harvest in 15 minutes and they give double the cost of seeds. You can easily start racking up tens of thousands of coins while powerleveling friendship, it'll eventually be outperformed by okra in the glade but early game it's HUGE profit. Also if you hold down the shovel button your character will just keep digging in a straight line so making or removing the farm is as simple as holding a button down.
If you add 2 extra Gooseberries to the Berry Salad, you get an extra 1,200 stamina - 3,410 in total, nearly a full yellow bar at level 40. I didn't know about digging in the rain, thanks for that tip
The berry salad and the digging in the rain tips were both new to me! I'll be adding them to my gameplay. The tip I wish I would've known at the beginning is to ALWAYS use your buddy when harvesting, fishing, mining, etc. At the lower friendship levels they don't help that much but once they're maxed out you can almost double your output with no extra effort.
although lower friendship levels don’t give you more it does help with completing their quests and raising their levels to max for all those new beginners like me
I keep storage chests, Goofy's stalls, and a stovetop next to each fountain in every biome. The storage chest next to each fountain is essential for me because whatever I pick up in each biome can be stored there and I like knowing that I can fast travel back to the fountain if I need to pick up a specific item or cook something to progress a quest or replenish my energy levels (especially when harvesting my many pumpkin crops). Didn't know that about the berry salad, but I'll definitely keep that tip for future use. I've been making a large seafood plater all this time, and using shrimps and lemon. Good to know I can save on the shrimps! lol
Large seafood platter is great to feed the Ravens -anything recipe that is 5 stars and has ingredients you can pick up instead of buy or farm is great.
I am soooo excited for you! You get to do all the quests which is my favorite part! No need to start over honestly but I totally get wanting to start fresh! I'm so glad the tips are helpful!
I will give you all a tip, when you unlock the beach, put villains on side heroes another. I got Donald duck and Maui sharing a little island together.
You can now change your villagers duties. Under your crafting menu in the potion and enchantment section you will find several manuals that you can craft. Give one of these manuals to a villager as a gift, and it will change their job to the job of the manual that you give them.
I will share two tips that I have not seen mentioned in any videos. 1. If you do not want to go home or dont have any food. You can sit down to gain energy back. 2. if you need dark shards you can craft them out of the Onyx
I must say...I'm super impressed with ALL your comments. I have not read one comment that had misspelling , lack of commas and periods. Everything I have read actually made sense!! It's like a breath of fresh air.
such a great video! my favorite hack i’ve learned is to constantly be hanging out w a friend. even if you’re just walking around collecting stuff and that friend doesn’t directly benefit what you’re doing, you can still level up your friendship w them if you happen to remove some thorns or harvest some food while you’re hanging out
I made a storage chest room - I like the idea of putting a table with an item on it to remember what's in each chest! I've completed all quests and am now collecting resources and decorating and realized decorating takes a LOT of recourses and wish I had been collecting all long. Oh well! At least there are lots of updates coming so a lot more game to play!
Thank you. Bought it a while back but got mad that I could never make what Mickey wanted. Turns out it was because I was using his house instead of mine. I came back a few month later and figured it out right away. Now i love it.
Another thing is to make sure you don't change the time on your console to speed up spawning. It actually prevents things from respawning for however much time you set the clock ahead. I'm dealing with that now!
@@anastasiajordan7807 awwwwe I hate when devs do that. Punishing players for not being able to spend all their time on the game is never a good look to me, personally. Unless it's a multiplayer PlayerVsPlayer experience then there's no reason for that.
You can craft a night shard too! mine some Onyx and turn them into night shards in crafting station, it helps a lot to complete "The Circle of Life" Scar's quest
Thank you for all your tips ! My mom has been playing the game and I've been helping her play "better", by looking stuff up online but there's only so much one site can do ! She will be happy to learn all of the tips you gave ❤
Thank you so much for the digging in the rain tip because I'm at the point in the game where Minnie wants me to make the clocktower (I think) and I still need over 60 more clay pieces. Luckily I accumulated a lot of them because I finished the Scar quest where you upgrade the shovel to get rid of the bones (I watched you play through that on one of your streams and used it to my advantage😅 so thanks for that). But this tip will help alot!
Yesss! The bone digging is so good to help with Minnie’s clock tower! But yep digging in the rain should help a lot and don’t forget to bring a digging buddy with you 😬😬
These videos have been extra helpful so thank you so much!! I started dragging myself around cuz i refused to do garden duties until i found out about how much income, comes from it. I used to only farm gems instead and its not even close to what i get from gardening 😭 Im also a hoarder of items but i did in fact slow down on it because of storage and i happen to have increased my house size now so I'm definitely gonna work on a storage room. Absolutely thankful for that tip!🙌🏽
Good tip for gardening is i build a little cage i guess u can call it with fencing and i lock my buddy in there next to my big plot then i garden, afterwards when i unlock my buddy all my bonuses come all at once to pick up instead of as im gardening. Saw this tip from another channel. Works well
I know you posted this video a while ago, but I love the way you present your videos. You have a really nice voice, and you have a good amount of good advice for the game. You just gained a new follower!
I love the video, something I wish I knew when I started my game is what to do when my game glitches and that a lot of players already had the glitch and know the fix or Gameloft already provided a way to fix your quest, so know to go online or to check a TH-cam video would have been helpful sooner. Also like you said I wish I knew early game to be a hoarder even if that meant dropping things in my house (that limited storage space is the bane).
This video was SO helpful thank you so much! I just got the game last week and have barely scratched the surface and wanted to make sure I was progressing ok. Your tips are super helpful and I really appreciated that you didn't give any spoilers😊
Actually found a slight break in the game yesterday. If you go to Kristoff's stall and you click the minus button, some of the items will have a negative 1. You can actually continue in the negatives and earn a lot of money that way. Unfortunately sometimes the items will only let you do it one time (you can click as many times as you want in the negative but once you hit the confirmation button the item will go away).
Gardening certain crops brings in a lot of money! Pumpkins are a huge money maker but if u don't have that yet and have at least glade of trust and forest of valor okra and onions they bring in a lot of money and have a buddy when u harvest to easily increase ur harvest 😊
So, after seeing Valley Spot's video a few days ago, I decided to throw myself into some research that I am still knee deep in, but I'll throw some of this knowledge out there. There seems to be a hard cap of +100% (double) resources from your harvesting partner, so if you plant 100, you get 100 extra. (I hit this cap with 6 level 10 gardeners.) In addition, (I am still in the research process of this,) each character may possibly have a base and an assist modifier for each hobby. Starting my research, I noticed a significant difference in harvesting numbers with 2 level 10s, Goofy and Merlin, with Merlin harvesting ~20 less than Goofy, (hence the "base modifier" theory,) and each new level 10 character added a highly variable addition to the harvesting numbers, with Merlin adding ~11.3%, then Mickey adding ~17.8%, and Scrooge adding ~15.1%, (which I believe is significant enough to validate an assist modifier.) Again, I'm knee deep into this research and have quite a bit more to explore and validate everything, but hopefully I'll eventually be able to put this out there for everyone to see.
Thank you. I just started playing and I'm hook on the game. One thing I noticed is that the food cook at Remy's realm is unable to bring it out but we can eat it to replenish energy. There is a hack I just found which is we cook the food, open inventory and drop it in the realm. Whenever we return to the realm, the food drop from inventory will still be there which we can pick it up and eat it. So if I fast travel to Remy's realm, eat the food, and exit realm, I will return to the same spot where I fast travel. Which is better then running back to my house to get energy half way into my tasks/activities.
Mining in the cave in sunlit plateu is great place to get gems and crystals and gold to make money fast too. I have Kristoff and goofy as my mining buddies. I should have had goofy as fishing but I messed up and can't change it. You can get extra items when you bring a buddy with you to mine. What's also good is if your energy gets low there a stove to cook food if you need to.
Yes all great tips! Also, you can change your buddie’s duty now! If you go to your crafting table, there are books/manuals you can craft and gift to valley members to change their roles
There are a lot of great tips I'll be sure to try these out I don't typically play these type of sim games but this one is addicting to me thanks for the help K.
Thanks, that inventory chest is something I did not know! I've done everything possible (story wise) and I have rooms in my house that are just filled with items laying around. Scrooge sucks! I buy everything he puts out, he needs to refill his shop more often.
OMGEEEEEE! i wish i found this video sooner...i just started playing like a week ago and wish i new these things lolsz..i def will use these tips going forward
GARDENING TIP😁 I like your gardening tips & I have one to share that may help some people! When I garden I put a fence around my gardening person I’m working with while I’m harvesting and when I’m done I walk to an open area and then go back in to the furniture, build mode, delete the fence around my gardening, person and weight as they go to where you were gardening, and they will pick up and sprout everything at once will fall around you in a square. I have found like when doing pumpkins they are so big I only do 50 to 100 at a time. I also always save my progress after I harvest but before I delete the fence around my gardening person, so if it does happen to crash, you can go back into the game get your same person back and harvest one item and it will throw everything at you from prior as long as you’ve saved it I hope that makes sense. It’s kind a hard to explain sometimes through messaging.😊
my game did not save on my first play through so I had to redo a lot.. i ended up learning a lot, though, and played through the first few quests faster. i ended up clearing out items that cannot be interacted with to give a clear, straight path.. it really helped me find hardwood
Thanks for this video! I started the game two weeks ago and I’m addicted. I play on Switch and the worst part is build mode. It’s awful. They could learn a lot from ACNH for this…
To level up characters make sure you hang out with one character while you are running around. I assigned everyone with digging as they will give you more gems to sell
Running around with your buddy is a great way to level them up! I wouldn't recommend assigning everyone to digging though. The best thing to do is assign 4 to 5 buddies to a duty in the valley so that you get the benefits in each area. For example, if you have 5 gardening buddies you get a bunch of extra crops while harvesting.
I'm finding that even though *I* can't access the chests everywhere, the workbenches and stoves can. So I have all my work ingredients in a chest next to my house, all my cooking ingredients in chests next to remy's restaurant. But if I go to work at Goofy's workbench, it accesses all the items in my chests at my house. I still try to keep them sorted so I can manually find them for gifts, but I'm not as worried about forgetting where things are to build.
@@abigailxo9115 There are plenty of videos about it, but I made the mistake early on. Originally, time skipping would lock all resource gathering--you couldn't pick herbs or harvest plants, you can't use rock nodes, it kills your ability to use any resources. Something to do with the way activities use a timer vs how the system clock is used. It was recoverable, so long as you didn't go too far forward. So, let's say you set the clock forward one day, from Mon to Tues, at 1:00, to do scrooge's store twice, or to finish a long quest. For your game to go back to normal, you'd think you would just reset the clock back 24 hrs, to Monday. BUT! For the next day, you will have no access to resources. You can't do anything until the clock catches up to where you fast forwarded to. Because the game now thinks it's Tuesday. You will not be able to do anything until 1:01 on Tuesday. I could make it work, but then I screwed it up. LoL. If I was going out of town for the weekend, I would buy out scrooge on Friday, then skip to sat and buy out the store, then skip to Sunday and do the same. When I got home from my trip on Sunday night, the game had caught up to the clock. But then I got greedy, and had progressively kept time skipping, until I was months away from the real date. I basically doomed myself to either reset and start over, or conntinue to time skip for eternity --which is a lot or work and would eventually been to hard to keep up with. I had to keep a notepad to write down my start and end timestimes so I could remember where to set the clock for the next session. Later, the devs added a dirty little trick, where your character's face gets all mangled and glitches start to happen until you have to close the game. If I was starting a new game from scratch today? Here's what I'd do: 1. Set system clock to 1/1/2000 2. Install game 3. Time skip for 24 years until getting to the present day/time, and at that point... 4. Stop time skipping altogether. Hope that made sense!
Make everyone other than 1 of each of the others, a Gardner. You'll level your characters up quickly and get some much more produce in return. Then, plant pumpkins everywhere! I have over $5 million off pumpkins alone.
Thank-you so much for these tips! I bought this game in October and fell instantly in love with it! My problem right now is I am constantly running out of money. Any tips on making bank?
Yes! Farming is your money maker! Make big plots for gardening and start by planting carrots all the time. Once you get the glade, farm okra. Once you unlock the forest of valor, plant canola or onions. And the biggest money maker if farming pumpkins. You will get pumpkins once you unlock the Forgotten Lands.
I haven’t gotten to the point I can get gooseberries yet so my constant easy 2000+ stamina dish is fruit salad using blueberries, coconut, lemon, banana and apple. It gives you over 2000 energy!
On one of the first points made, certain characters are immovable. So, if you have someone like scar with you while mining in a skinny place (like the vitalys mines), you need to be veeeeery careful.
Of course! And thank you! The infinity chest is actually the one you have inside your house when you start the game. I bought an extra one from scrooge to keep in my inventory
You know those Gem rocks right? I thought you had to wait until the gems peaked through until you could pick at them. I wish I knew that you could just pick away whenever they appear.

Which is better then running back to my house to get energy half way into my tasks/activities.
Yes! That was one of my favorite things to do especially early game because you don’t waste any coal when cooking! Free food and energy lol! 🙌🏼
This comment section is SO helpful to a lil someone (me) who is waiting on their newest game to download!
Let’s gooo!! I’m glad it’s helpful!
I’ve been playing since it hit game pass and had no idea about the berry salad! Thank you 🎉
Awesome! So glad that was helpful!! 🙌🏼
There are a lot of great tips I'll be sure to try these out I don't typically play these type of sim games but this one is addicting to me thanks for the help K.
It’s soooo addicting! I’m glad you’re enjoying and like the tips!
I found that an all coconut fruit salad worked really well too!
I’ve heard that one is really good!
Got this game for my daughter. Ended up getting hooked lol
Lol I can image! At least you both can enjoy playing 🥰
Just started playing Dreamlight Valley & This is so helpful! Thank you so much!
I’m so glad it’s been helpful! 😊😊
Berry Salad FTW 🙌🏾. Thanks so much for the Ariel/ Ursula tip!! I think they should default to fishing buddies
Me too! It would definitely be helpful! And your welcome ❤️
I love your storage room!
Thank you so much 😬😬😬
Glad I found this video. I am restarting my game. I messed up bad when I first started playing.
I am downloading the game now I am SO EXCITED - I can't believe I just found out about it by watching youtube videos! Ty for the tips
You’re so welcome and yay to you getting started in Dreamlight Valley! Hands down my favorite game of 2022! 🎉🎉🎉
Where can I download this game?
Loved this tips!! My backpack size just doubled! Yes!!!
Yessss get that extra storage space 👏🏼👏🏼
I love these videos 😂 sometimes early release is so obtuse that you're like, "They should have explained that!". Also, AWWW, I got a shout out! ❤️❤️
Sooo true, I would have been pulling my hair out if it wasn't for all of the great tips and how to videos!!
Lol right! And of course you did! 💕💕
🥰🥰
Let’s hope it never comes to that! 😬
Thanks, that inventory chest is something I did not know! I've done everything possible (story wise) and I have rooms in my house that are just filled with items laying around. Scrooge sucks! I buy everything he puts out, he needs to refill his shop more often.
I would recommend stitch for gardening as well ❤
Stitch would make a great gardening buddy 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Great tips!! I loved your garden layout sections too!
Thank you 😀☺️ I’m really happy with how they turned out!
OMGEEEEEE! i wish i found this video sooner...i just started playing like a week ago and wish i new these things lolsz..i def will use these tips going forward
I’m glad you found this video and that it was helpful! 😬😬
That makes perfect sense! And yes this is a great tip and always a lot of fun to do! ☺️🙌🏼
my game did not save on my first play through so I had to redo a lot.. i ended up learning a lot, though, and played through the first few quests faster. i ended up clearing out items that cannot be interacted with to give a clear, straight path.. it really helped me find hardwood
Thanks for this video! I started the game two weeks ago and I’m addicted. I play on Switch and the worst part is build mode. It’s awful. They could learn a lot from ACNH for this…
Welcome to the addicted club lol! It's an amazing game! I am so excited for you! Also, I totally agree. They can make improvements the build mode!
When you go unlock the forest piler you go find Donald duck, don't get lost, I learned that lesson the hard way.
Ty for this video, I'll be playing the game for the first time tonight so this is going to be very helpful for me. Keep up the good work 👏
If you don't want to manually (or use furniture) to fill in thousands of holes you dug up... you can just wait 2 days and they will auto-fill.
That's true! I think I just wanted them filled asap lol! The holes are an eye sore to me hehehe
Even seaweed is helpful because you need it to make things like fiber.
Thanks for this! Going to start playing this week!
So excited for you! I hope you love it!
To level up characters make sure you hang out with one character while you are running around. I assigned everyone with digging as they will give you more gems to sell
Also when you unlock a well you can move it into the restricted area to get immediate access
Yes! The cloud storage is really helpful so we don't have to have it in our character's inventory!
I started last week... This is so helpful! Thank you
I'm soooo gald it's been helpful!
Digging for clay in the swamp is what I did. It's always wet there...
Definitely a great spot to find clay
Wardrobes also act as storage, daisys one has all the slots unlocked as it’s a larger one
No matter how tempted, DO NOT alter your system clock to fast-forward the game/speed things up.
Why ?
Here's what I'd do:
1. Set system clock to 1/1/2000
2. Install game
Thanks for the tips. Really cool. Just downloaded the game for the Nintendo Switch
You’re welcome! I hope you love the game!!
Hi love your vids just saw your acc when I started playing Disney dream light valley your the best gaming TH-camr ever
Omg, the best gaming TH-camr ever is an amazing compliment! Thank you so much! 💗
I haven’t gotten to the point I can get gooseberries yet so my constant easy 2000+ stamina dish is fruit salad using blueberries, coconut, lemon, banana and apple. It gives you over 2000 energy!
I’ve heard that’s another really great one! 🙌🏼🙌🏼
On one of the first points made, certain characters are immovable. So, if you have someone like scar with you while mining in a skinny place (like the vitalys mines), you need to be veeeeery careful.
Lol yea getting stuck is the worst!
I just made a berry salad using gooseberry, raspberries, blueberries, bananas, coconuts it gives you 3,060 energy better than the first comment 😊
Gonna give it a try!!
I'm low key obsessed with your garden 😅
😬😬 thank you!!
Thank you so much i see now that you will need a lot of clay i was like OMG and the digging yes i seen them and went past them i wont no more 😂
Lol you're welcome! Im glad it was helpful!
How did you get that floral wall in your storage room?? I’m obsessed 😍
I got it from Scrooges store! I wish it was craftable 😭
Only started today and thanks for the tips
You’re so welcome!
DO NOT turn dream shards into dreamlight 😭 I learned the hard way

Berry salad is amazing!!!!! I have like 20 right now lol
It’s my fav!! 🥰
I put Plaza trees each biomes so the wood spans under the plaza trees in one area
Yea idk what it is about plaza trees but they do a great job of generating wood!
Ooo girl you got storage room SIGNS
Yessss! 😬 So good!
8:03 I was going to buy a dress there and then ended up getting it free from a character unlock haha I’m so conflicted now
Same thing happens to me lol!
Love the video! Great things mentioned 🙂🙂🙂 Subbed for more fantastic content
Thank you and welcome to the family!
Great video hun, thank you for the shout out ❤ how do u get the infinity chest, I don't have one. Awesome tips.
Of course! And thank you! The infinity chest is actually the one you have inside your house when you start the game. I bought an extra one from scrooge to keep in my inventory
Excellent video! Great stuff 🌟
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it! ☺️
Thanks for sharing 🥹❤️
Of course! Thank you for watching ❤️
You know those Gem rocks right? I thought you had to wait until the gems peaked through until you could pick at them. I wish I knew that you could just pick away whenever they appear.
Yessss that’s such a good one to know!
It glitched me out on Remys quest when he first got to my town and told me to check out the restaurant ever time I’d check it out in the restaurant it say talk to remy but when I left the restaurant it say check out the restaurants and it happened for a day then randomly fixed and remy finally showed up in the restaurant after
Just started playing!!!!
So excited for you!!
