    Where do you get the gallon-sized repair compound? Would this work with a large 1.5" crack? Or is a backer needed to fill first?
    This is the nicest looking youtube repair I've seen, and I've watched a bunch. Poly seems like the correct product because it can be flexible. Cracks grow and it will likely split again, probably very quickly with an inflexible product.
    Thanks!

      Also what is the specific disc you used to widen the crack? Is it specifically made for concrete?

      Yes, I put links to all the products in the description. The blade is called a crack chaser diamond blade, the product you can get at concrete exchange. Thank you for the compliment! Means a lot.

      With this product you don’t need backer rod.

    So is this a more solid repair than say using backer rod plus self leveling sealant and then finishing with either More-Flexx, sand, or Quikcrete?
    Amazing tutorial! I may have to tackle some of the cracks in the driveway.

      This is for a random crack in the center of a pad or area, I think what you are describing is more for an expansion joint where you need it to be able to flex.

    Play sand is also water eroded so has rounded edges. For structural integrity we want building sand with sharp edges.

    • @wolfofconcrete
      @wolfofconcrete  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, you don’t want to use play sand at all. I’ve always used multi purpose sand, works great, especially if the crack goes all the way through the slab.

    Is this what you would use in a 4.5 inch carport slab that’s cracked all the way through in Florida?
    I have 2 deep cracks all the way through the slab. They are about 4-5 inches wide.
