_Cali_livin_ _ i want to go to la or just california in general but my grandma hates california. i love in shitty ass indiana and it sucks here the vibe is awful. i'm sure the vibe is awesome in LA
I remember when I visited LA in Feb 2009 and tried to get onto the 110 south from Downtown en-route to see the Queen Mary at Long Beach. Luckily I saw the whole freeway was gridlocked in both directions before committing to the on ramp and instead followed South Vermont Avenue for some way to join the 110 near South Los Angeles. It was still slow moving (at least moving) but I managed to get over to the car pool lanes (I had a passenger). I was shocked to see the number of cars with only 1 person inside, especially the MPVs that had 8 seats.
Isaac Reyes HELL YEAH!!!! I've been blessed to see the L.A. skyline evolved over the last 4, nearly 5 decades into what it is now....ever since I was young!!! BEAUTIFUL......JUST BEAUTIFUL!!!
Just Cade L.A has focused more on its suburbs in the last decade or two. However this video was uploaded 9-10 years ago, and trust me there have popped up several new additions to the skyline. And many more are under construction. Of course it won’t be like New York, Dubai, Shanghai or Hong Kong, but a much bigger skyline is expected.
+Cody Anderson Dubai isn't even that great. People praise it cause it's the only city in the Middle East that isn't shit, is rich and has flashy buildings. Too bad they're practically all empty and the entire city will be bankrupted when we're done with oil.
sincity RRT trashiest city and people in the world. Everybody is delusional and fake. Goes on for miles from San Fernando valley to riverside. It's basically apart of North Mexico at this point. Whole area is garbage also high crime rates everywhere.
God bless you. I love the beautiful skyline of Los Angeles. I enjoy watching this video. Please make more future videos. Sincerely brother Charles Rodriguez. 😎👍😁😉
Yes, that's correct. Traveling to LA is one of my dreams. I have dozens of other dreams in every possible category of life, as well. But yes, traveling to LA is definately one of them. It's something different to living in midlle of nowhere, at Arctic Circle, with 3 feet of snow 6 months per year, 2 hours of daylight per day, with temperatures hovering at cozy minus 13 Fahrenheit!
To me, going northbound the whole distance on Harbor Freeway started from Washington Blvd and ending at the four deck interchange, but that was in 1954.
60s and 70s were the years of the worst air pollution . Strick law over time have made the air much much better. There was a time when you could never see the mountains.
LA has a lot of smog but a lot of times it becomes hazy because of the mix of smog and marine layer that's come in from the coast. Some days are clearer, this just happened to be a very unclear day.
The Mrs. says: I have driven on these Freeways for years back in the 60's, be on the ball, the Harbor Freeway is always like this and Brother just take your eyes off of your driving for a second and your toast, pay attention, Los Angeles is big intersecting many cities from this Freeway, down to Long Beach and beyond, don't goof off, and leave the Radio off.
HAH! I was waiting for you to finally hit traffic! And it took 6 minutes for that to happen to you! Very impressive! it feels so weird to see those same freeways I've been on so many times 0.o By the way, the l.a skyine should have a new addition soon. On wilshire they're making a 60-floor hotel and 40-floor office buildings. it's all glitzy like the ritz-carlton building.
L.a is actually right in front of the valley, its not in it, bakersfield is in the valley, when you're there all you see are mountains out in the distance, i love it tho if L.A were inside the valley it most likely wouldn't have beaches so nice and flat
Question, where are the street lights on the freeway? You have some by the exits but if you look, there no street lights on the freeway in the middle of the city?
Jermaine Latimer my family’s household income is a little below 100k. and we do just fine It’s all about how financially literate you are Some people can feed a family of 4 with $20 a week and others will spend $20 at Starbucks in 10 minutes 😉
Goddamnit, I will cross the ocean and get there once, I swear. Then I'll find myself a spot in the grass, that I can overlook the city from, will crack some beers and tune some Grace Jones on my ghetto blaster.
kylem1112 I love USA and I respect this country. I know there are other cities also big with less pollution. The comment I posted was due to my surprise of the pollution. I didn'y think LA was so polluted. Thank you and regards from Spain, the poorest country in Western Europe jeje.
I think the 10 heading east just before the 110 is better view. Also, going north on the 5 into the 101N where you're virtually east of the downtown cluster and offers a good view of City Hall. Also, coming in on the Arroyo Seco(Pasadena 110) heading into downtown just after Elysian Park by Dodger Stadium and just before the 101 offers a great view where City Hall is together as one cluster. Of course, if you continue on the 110 as you go into the 110 (downtown canyon) is also a great view ofLA.
I can only think of Bink 182 lyrics Come down yeah we'll watch the sun just burn away the sky Watch the city lights die out up on Mulholland Drive Los Angeles, when will you save me? Los Angeles, when will you save me? Los Angeles, when will you save me? Los Angeles, I'm never coming home
From 06:45 the L.A. skyline look gorgeous! My dream is to travel to L.A. one day. That's my dream. BTW How many people do you need in a vehicle to use a car pool lane? Is two enough or do you need more? Great video, nonetheless. I love the scenary and the tall buildings of L.A.
The arrows point on the I 110 Freeway so Fartso Wi Wartso or Fartso Wi Wartsi can get into the right lane. Fartso Wi Wartso and Fartso Wi Wartsi gets the down arrows on the freeway.
At the beginning it seems to be just fog. But then when you can see the city in the distance I think there's not doubt is smog ---> term that comes from the join of 2 words: smoke and fog
Kylem1112 Thank you for your comment and good explanation about why the smog gets trapped there. I live in a island called Majorca, at the Mediterranean sea, and as you correctly mentionated, southers Spain and the island where I lived has a similar climate. Do you know that LA was founded by a missionary at XVIII century called Fray Junípero Serra? so this personage was born here. Maybe you know about him. Majorca and LA have some ries in common. Sorry but my english is no good jaja. Regards

I know, I went to LA for vacation about 2 months ago and I didn't want to go home.
LA has a beautiful skyline, but the traffic and the smog in the air is atrocious.
I love highway videos and I absolutely love this place there! I plan to come back to LA next summer (2016)...

I see a lot more cars than Crossovers and suvs. I would say around 2015-16 is when the streets were flooding with them. This took me back, thank you
This WAS my daily commute. I am so thankful that I moved to the Midwest. The traffic is so much lighter! Although, I miss being in L.A.
that skyline tho😍😍😍😍
Isaac Reyes HELL YEAH!!!! I've been blessed to see the L.A. skyline evolved over the last 4, nearly 5 decades into what it is now....ever since I was young!!!

Beautiful, but not that impressive. LA should have a bigger skyline.

oh thats right because it's in the middle of the desert? and there's always sandstorms?

Best city in the usa Los Angeles
Tony Pruitt hell yea !
Tony Pruitt i think is new York the best city un the usa
Tony Pruitt i hate the freeways of Los Ángeles in Phoenix the freeways are the best in the USA
It amazes me how similar los angeles and los santos (map of gta5) are, they look exactly the same
Umm thats because it is based off Los Angelas
Are you dumb? they're the same... (except santos is scaled way way down)
TheGoodChap either what he was saying was a joke or he was saying how the creaters of gta 5 did a good job making it look the same
Hahaha you moron
How much please per centage pricks made inherited shitloads
thank 4 the ride!!!
That literally looks absolutely terrifying
Boho Panda Only to those who doesn't know how to navigate through L.A. traffic. To us locals....it's like driving on a race track.
Especially when you consider the driver has a hard time staying in his own lane.
11:36 is the best view of beautiful Los Angeles California

LA skyline is beautiful, BUT...Houston is far more impressive.
But Cincinnati is the most impressive, especially at night
My home 😍 I love this place there’s no other place like it. Take the 110 north to Pasadena exit orange grove and hit “old town”

Amazing experience thanks for upload
Just love that LA smog. That's a good video, nice views of the city. At least the traffic wasn't as bad as the 405.
I was about to say "Watch for people cutting into the carpool lane" until I saw one of the top comments.
Great drive and beautiful views
i remember taking that freeway to downtown during summer! i miss it already
the polution has completley destroyed the air i that city
60s and 70s were the years of the worst air pollution . Strick law over time have made the air much much better. There was a time when you could never see the mountains.
Climate change is a hoax. It's just harmless factory exhaust.

I wish I could agree with you LOL. The best thing about L.A. is that it's close to long beach.

California has the best smooth full lane highways in the world
Not like UK ones but they are little bit same as american ones
i never been to UK. How is it there?
They have little bit darker surface
They dont have yellow line on the freeway (motorway UK)
They drive left lane

incredible pollution in LA amazing in the highway or freeway around of LA
look at the sky all to gray
the air must be unbreathable
What do the down arrows mean on the freeway?
Daniel Basically when it's pointing straight down and the sign says Santa Monica you keep going straight under that arrow to go to Santa Monica.

Car pool means 2 or more person in a car
