Poor guys were taught that these SWATs are fake… I remember hearing “yeah, heard that one before” and “yeah sure, «police»” after yelling “hands above your head”.
Kinda a fucked up situation. On one hand, they can't announce in some official way with a court document they need to turn over data because they can just start wiping the data. However, when you breach they're likely to just assume (even the innocent ones) you're fake cops because of the recent fake police raids. Made me feel better for the S Rank clear. Then again, it's likely some were in on it and got hush money.

the sad part about this mission is this is the definition of a grey area, the mindjot guards were taught police were impersonators and are not to be trusted after multiple incidents where fake officers stole data, so when an informant after the streamer raid drops the bombshell mindjot servers have "CP" in them, you go in to take the companys site down, only to be met with bullets flying, grazing or killing your squad mates on the spot as you desperately move through the hallways, each step more careful than the last because these aren’t crooks.. *these are trained men who are going to defend their employers.*
I love how most all of the missions have these grey areas and complicated scenarios though, great layered story and makes for a realistic and detailed world in the game🔥
This is exactly why the game incentivizes you to arrest suspects whenever possible. Nothing is ever black and white, and you don’t know the suspect’s goals until it’s over. These people are just doing what they were instructed to do, and were fed dangerous information to ensure they listened.
A Sinuous Trail has one of the best combat themes in RoN, and I really like the designs for the Mindjot Security enemies. Both the music and opposing force give off this vibe of sinister activities going on behind a professional exterior.
Im still not sure what you need to do to trigger this music...I had the biggest firefights with grenades and C2 popping off left and right and the music was still chilling
There is another part of this combat theme that I have not seen posted yet, it's the 4th one but it's only the background track that is playing. (This track does play in the game somewhere.)
Ya as a person who plays Ready Or Not / RON for a very long time the 4th one its hard to that one because you have to be shooting or in combat for a very long period of time. There had been 1 moment I actually got the 4th one. But other than that its rare to get to the 4th one.
It was a company which had a platform where people could express their opinions without a worry about being tracked by police or other people, then specialized in outsourcing trade workers around the city, but due to the large amount of competition the company collapsed and MINDJOT turned into a hub of illegal trade, powered by the servers in their data centers
In a nutshell, Mindjot started as a platform for free speech with no censor and identity protection, as the society of Ready or Not got worse, Mindjot became really popular, until Mindjot started to run out of money as well. Until Amos Vol came in a struck a deal. The deal is for Amos Vol to keep the files of his screwed up activites safe in the Mindjot servers, in exchange, Vol will finace Mindjot and their security force. As Mindjot was getting money, a lot of people joined Mindjot's security force for a decent paycheck as the world around them falls apart and no money is going around anymore. And although they have to do this job to live, they are completly aware of what Amos Vol is doing, and that they are protecting him. There are way more details and events that I may have missed, but this is the general idea.

All missions are tied together in one way or another, not all in cronoilogical order. The Valley of Dolls - Sinuous Trail -The Spider, these are connected for sure. Vol is a big name here, and you could say he is the antagonist of this story... But in the larger scale, he is nothing more then a number of crimes in this city. If you want more, check out the "Ready or Not Lore Series" by "Shayne, Please Shut Up". That is where I get the lore of the game!

There’s been cases of people faking as SWAT to either round up loose ends and hit the delete button en masse, or trying to use the cover to get them to lay down their guns and get what they want The reason they say things like “damn, didn’t realize you guys were real cops” is because a faker SWAT team would likely execute anybody left alive.
