The avoidance of HOAs is why I'm buying a house in New Port Richey. Sick of having to pay to be bossed around by some want-to-be Stasi or Gestapo.

I live in the Trinity Preserve community and love it. The only problem with the Trinity area is not a lot of stores or restaurants.

Yeah I get that. Does everyone out there think all that kind of development is coming soon? Seems like it could take a long time though, right?

I am not certain how parks in Florida could even come close to anything in Colorado. New Port Richey is certainly not a place I would ever live in again. Matter of fact, I wouldn't choose to even live in any part of Florida. Finally most of my family is out of that state. I am never going back.

The short answer would be you’re usually going to find the “better” area on the eastern side of New Port Richey, but there ARE still great neighborhoods in the other part of the city as well! Feel free to reach out via email and I’d love to go over it more in depth with you: info@livingintampafl.com

How is crime in the area? That is really my main concern about moving over there from Southeast FL. I am specifically looking at the trinity/seven springs area. I googled "crime in New Port Richey" and found some teen randomly getting robbed and having his teeth knocked out. Is that kinda stuff common? Thanks!

The crime rate of New Port Richey overall is a little high compared to other cities in Florida, but it significantly drops and gets safer in New Port Richey East.

@@LivinginTampa Don't buy a house or live west of Madison Street or even better west of Seven Springs/Rowan Road. Holiday gives the whole area an undeserved bad name. It's turning into a inner-city ghetto, like a northern Tarpon Springs. East of Rowan Road is newer homes with honest people. I watched Live PD every night and almost all of the crime(and idiots) live west of Rowan Road.
