Sian, thank you for your tips! I have been a lower limb amputee for three years now and I have struggled to figure out what to wear for dressy occasions, particularly shoes. This was not a problem before. You look like you have a thicker foot shell which probably helps when wearing matching shoes. My foot shell is 1/2 size smaller than my regular leg and I have to get that adjusted with my prosthetist which will likely make it easier to find shoes that will work. Do you have dress shoes that you wear? If so, could you post a picture or tips on what works for you? Obviously a strap is important for the back and probably over the top of the arch.
Great video really insightful, although I'm a upper limb amptuee its very good for me to understand more of lower limb amptuees struggles & adjusting to these challenges.
@@SianLord yeah for both lower & upper limb amptuees its interesting to find out our own struggles & challenges to adjust to it. E.g. with me wearing long sleeve clothes thin sleeves/pockets, problem solving appreciate it more when its no longer there! I saw your video with Ampusteve brilliant what he said resonate with me.
I just became a double amputee for legs is there anything you can suggest for this? I've basically been stuck to just wearing shorts. I'm so sad about never wearing jeans again 😢 I won't have prosthetics either so I'm just stuck with nubs
FashionablyFake in GA yessss I used to be the same! That’s why I wanted to make the video as I get questions about it! But stretch is definitely the way forward 👍🏽

asha Fuca Thank you so much xxx
Pants are the worse for me. Either I have to wear wide leg pants or cut off the right pant leg. Thanks for the tips! I can barely bend at the knee..
