Daniel Rangel began his career as a Los Angeles real estate agent at the young age of eighteen, over a decade ago, during the great recession. When others were calling it quits, he was charging forward, finding opportunities for his clients where others saw problems. To some around the world, Daniel is better known as the founder of Creativum, a project with a social cause that he founded during a three-year sabbatical, in which he traveled the world alone with a small backpack and a camera. As a result of his eccentric entrepreneurial accomplishments during this adventure, he has been published in newspapers across the American continent, made television appearances, been a guest speaker at several universities, and given two TEDx talks on the topic of sales and creativity. He likes the outdoors, travel, photography, and writing. From Daniel Rangel you can expect a real estate experience that’s fun, up-front, honest, and pressure-free.
I’ve been there, enjoyed it, and will return. Living in Santa Monica would be a dream come true.
Nice, Uncle Ivan. Thanks for sharing!
It would be a dream to live a few mins away from the beach in LA. However, the next option is to move a 10-15 miles away for cheaper real estate
Awesome video! I love the history and education! I've lived her for a month and learned more in 9 minutes than I have the whole time I've lived here!
Yay! Thank you! :)
This was better than reading a whole book about Santa Monica. Thanks Daniel for the edutainment :)
Aw, thank you! Happy to hear that! 😊
I Love Santa Monica all the way what a awesome place indeed. I was just there between July 1st and July 8th 2021 loved every minute of it. Had the good fortune of visiting there quite a few times over the years!!!! When I hit the Lottery $$$$$$ I would love to move to Ocean towers and preferably the penthouse for sure--LOL
Hey John! Thanks for watching and commenting. Don't forget about me when you hit the lotto, I can be your agent! :)

I’m currently trying to move to Santa Monica so thanks for the video, its been very helpful. Have you got any tips for good jobs websites (for British people) to go on? Thanks, Simon
Awesome, nice to hear that Simon. And congrats on the move! A popular site is indeed.com if you haven't already heard of it. Thanks sharing!
nice listening experience
Thank you! Much appreciated 😁
Do West Hollywood please
Thank you, Oscar. I have it on the list.
I'm guessing that SM has height restrictions, given that there are no high rises. Apart from 201 Ocean Ave (which seems old, and is a co-op, so huge reason to avoid it) I haven't seen anything that would provide views. So, is it fair to say that the only way to have a view of the ocean in SM would be from a property directly on Ocean Ave or Pacific Coast Hwy? I'm making these assessments from across the country.
Hey Paul, good observations. Yeah, unlike some surrounding beaches, land in Santa Monica is pretty flat, preventing ocean view from too far inland, especially without the help of a high-rise. The more hilly side is in the Ocean Park area, between Rose Ave and Pico. This section sits on a hill. So while you might not have high-rises, you get some ocean views. Not a bunch of options, but probably more than other sections, without having to pay beachfront prices. There is also the Sea Colony complex here, with ocean views, but as you say, pretty much right in front of the beach. Downtown has higher buildings, many with ocean views, but most of them are apartment buildings, rentals. But yeah, good assessments, from across the country! Marina del Rey may be the next best option: th-cam.com/video/CQlgTmX-iQw/w-d-xo.html
Santa Monica always feels like a more expensive and smaller version of San Diego.
Hey Jenna! Interesting observation. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Wondering where you can live in Low Income Rental Place’s?
Santa Monica has some rentals classified as affordable housing, either subsidized by the city or developers. But still may be less affordable than other parts of Los Angeles. You may have to do a little research for more details.
