"‘Glorious End' is the grand finale of Weapons of Tomorrow, and a first-person narrative war epic. The verse is done as a father-son dialogue, in which the son promises the father that he will live up to his ancestor's legacy of courage, honor, and duty. The song and title have a cruel twist of irony, as the protagonist's bravery is rendered useless by the horrific new weapons of his time, and he questions the virtues of his father as he dies.
This kind of narrative storytelling element is something we feel is pretty unique to WARBRINGER among thrash metal bands. The music is hard-charging and aggressive, but also somber, grandiose, and well, glorious. The epic side of WARBRINGER is something we haven't shared in a single yet, and we thought it was long overdue. Now onwards, brave sons." - เพลง

Never heard of this band before. This video has informed me that I must acquire their entire discography.
Great choice, they've improved every record and never really put out a bad one. They're on the spearhead of the modern thrash revival as the youngins are using the power of the internet to find out what thrash metal is.

I was skeptic in the beginning but the progression, story evolving and twist got me. The riffs are also great. This will be my jam. Warbringer knows what they're doing 🤘🤘🤘

Coming from a family from the great Indian wars (USA) then moving to Canada to escape from it. Then dying in European wars. This song resonates. Thank you Warbringer. My dad will always miss his uncle that died on the beaches. My Kokum will always miss her family that died in USA .. RIP

@The Poison I agree with you, Woe to the Vanquished had something I have never experienced in any other modern thrash record. Riffing, atmosphere, vocals and lyrics blewing me instantly I heard it. It easily became one of my favorite albums of the decade. But these singles sound promissing and I cannot wait to listen to the album as a whole

This band is Amazing. One of the best thrash metal bands nowadays.
In my opinion this and When the Guns Fell Silent are the best songs Warbringer has made and some of the best thrash songs I've heard because they perfectly portray the emotions associated with their respective topics and also sound very VERY reminiscent of those age old poems made by soldiers and onlookers both during and after the Great War, regarding the war itself.
Hell, When the Guns Fell Silent outright covers one such poem for a verse, and it fits in perfectly with the rest of the song.
Just the same, I could easily imagine the lyrics of this being a similarly slightly reformed actual poem written by a veteran of the war who saw far too many young men join the war to prove themselves, speaking of honor and glory and being a true warrior, yet proceeding to fall victim to the new innovations in weaponry being brought upon the battlefield robbing them of their lives and even a fight at all let alone a glorious battle.
Despite this, they're entirely original lyrics, and the fact that's the case just shows how much they actually researched their subject, it's great and adds a lot more substance and weight to the song.
Best of those new releases that I've so far heard today. The lyrics are very powerful & impactful.

If _All Quiet On the Western Front_ had a theme song, this would be it. Perfectly describes the way the Lost Generation were lied to and indoctrinated by their parents and teachers, only to learn the true nature of war first-hand. Absolute masterpiece. ⚡⚡⚡

Great stuff. I especially like the repeated use of 'The Brooding Soldier' Canadian Memorial in the video. The Brooding Soldier now stands in commemoration of Canadians at 2nd Ypres- where gas was used for the first time on the Western Front. Funnily enough, when the monument was unveiled Foch referred to the battle as the first page in Canada's wartime book of glory.

I liked it from the very beginning, but when I realized what it leans towards in the end - I started liking it even more. This is one true masterpiece!

Yeah, a bit of his screams and maybe his spoken words!, it would have been awesome if they had him guest vocalize on this track, I think his vocals could have worked, it feels like a Blind Guardian song!
This gives me confidence that a song I'm writing, with a twist tragic ending to a short journey of two brothers realizing there's no good side of a war to be on and they must escape and tragically do.
