It took me two years from when I signed on before I got my allowance. Your right about constantly bugging your bosses about it. I didn't have my uniform one time carrying mail and I actually got punched in the face by some guy thinking I was just some stranger in his neighborhood.
When I was a CCA i used my first voucher on 5 long pants and shirts. People donated shirts or I found in Union/ station closet. Best decision ever
How long did it take to get voucher after your probation period?

When i first started i was able to get 2 pants 2 shirts a jacket a baseball cap and boots
Also the union hall is your friend. That's how i got majority of my uniforms.
They keep ours at the office for new people to pick through
I don't understand why they don't give you atleast a shirt on your first day. They're cheap asf! Shyt, McDonald's start you off with a uniform smh.

2 months after my break in service and I still don’t have my uniform voucher 😂

Where do you find the vendors?
They usually come to the Post office, if not the regulars keep a book at there case.
what do you recommend for raingear then?
They offer other types of rain gear, if to expensive. You can always purchase your own.
