Happened to me as a cca in my first 90 days. Straight up left the arrow keys in the nbu and returned to the office not even knowing. Customer called 911 and turned them in. Supervisors just sat me in their office and had a talk with me, but they didn't pursue any punishment nor was it ever documented. Sometimes it pays to be a runner, but 9/10 times it doesn't. For me that's the only real reason I feel I kept my job. Now that I'm a ptf though, I'm slow as hell. They had they chance lol
Glad it all worked out man. I'm a new RCA. Got out of the Academy on March 12. So I've been in for almost a full month. In that time I have forgotten my Scanner on top of a CBU. Locked my scanner inside a parcel locker. Took the keys of the Metris I was assigned to home, making it impossible for my regular to use it that following day. I got tired fumbling for the damn things so I attached the keys to the arrow keys with a D link and thought I had turned them in when I turned in my arrow keys. I was surprised when a supervisor called me the following day asking if I had them and I was so sure that I did, so I told him yes; I turned it in. However upon checking my laundry I found them in that little pocket just above the right pocket of my jeans. Called the super to make sure they stop looking, since he sounded like he was going nuts looking for them. Drove to the station that day. I'm still scheduled for my 4th Amazon Sunday tomorrow so I guess I'm ok for now. I'm so paranoid about losing anything now.
What a nightmare, i can't imagine the stress. Good to hear it worked out! What doesn't kill you makes you stonger they say...never let that happen again, lol!
