Yeah gears of war at a fast pace is funner to play at least from a "FAST PACE" player perspective. Pushing everything with confidence and using movement to dodge shots.
I just think gears of war’s gore + non child friendly environment is what’s holding it back. The game also has to be good which I’m crossing my fingers for gears 6
It has nothing to do with wall bouncing. That's the easy part. You have to be able to use it with the knowledge of doing exactly what is needed to get the kill as well. It takes years of practice to know what to do in each situation. And then you need the skill to actually do it. The thing about fortnite is it came out recently compared to gears so there was a lot of people that got to start on the same level. When people try to come to gears their just going to get smacked up by people that have been playing it for almost 15 years or more.

I don't understand how they never miss a slide - no matter how difficult the angle. Up+As aren't that easy for me to hit consistently either. It's crazy how good this is.

honestly 1vs in gears 5 are hard to even setup nowadays but to me best 1v players in gears 5 were Hndles, Acells, PowerZ(if he played them more) Inzem, Detox, Avexys. I may be missing a few but those were the only ones I even saw really play wagers and Vitalsam before he got banned.
sumuns, powerz, fheno, icy, avexys, inzem, praized, mental, xplosive, kenny, those are the fist that come to my mind. theres so many great players its hard to say who is best! especially when all our content to base it off of is team play, as it is a team work style of game. best overall at the game 1v1 in isolation, i think id be whoever brought it that day. results could vary constantly; theres so many different play styles, maps, game modes, etc but sumuns has an amazing 1v1 record in gow 4 and 5, so id say him based on what ive seen. As far as in a team setting, at the top level of completion, tough to say. powerz makes a great case.

For me one of the best players was Toy Soldier, master of movement. He was an amazing player moving through the game like he was untouchable.

I meant the wallbouncing issue started since the beginning, especially when gow2 came out.
Maybe the trick shots like rxns, slapshots, glitchy tricks are the main problem.

Phenomz = movement, PowerZ playing against pro players consistenly performing and winning tournaments. I can't compare them based off that alone tbh.

you do need good reaction time, but most of it is really good hand to eye cordination/muscle memory.
