You might want to consider filling and emptying the fluid two or three times depending on the mileage. There's about 9 quarts of fluid in the transmission. Drive the vehicle for about 10-20 miles after each empty and re-fill until the fluid coming out is bright red (like new).
Great video quick question I did the same thing you did and my dipstick shows no fluid on it after warm up does that mean it’s still low I need to add fluid
Yes if it’s not showing when warmed up and running you will need to add a little more until it starts showing on the dipstick. Just don’t overfill and remember atf expands with heat so if it’s not fully warmed up make sure you don’t fill to the max on the dipstick.
I have same year ford edge also and i have a clunk into gear problem only in the cold mornings when i'm leaving for work. what helps is that i have remote start to help get the engine close to operating temp. when the temp is 50 degree or more i have no issues. i live in Iowa. the fluid checks good on the dipstick any thoughts on what this clunk could be.. i know this is a how to video for trans flush but do you have any insight to this kinda problem? By the way great 2014 ford edge videos.... this help to to keep me in check with my vehicle
Your over filling, your not supposed to screw the cap in when checking the fluid, just get it to drop in with the arrow pointing towards the drivers door
Another great video. I'll be doing this on the wife's Edge. Thanks!
Thanks brother! Appreciate it

Do you know what the other plug is just above that main drain plug? Same exact plug.

Thanks for the update
Did this improve gas mileage?
No this will just help with shifting and longevity of the transmission.

My aunts transmission just went out in her MKX at 186k 😭
Why don’t you look in the owners manual to see how much fluid it takes.
Because you never get all of it out by this method so you never quite get the full fill.
Oh, makes sense. Thanks for clarifying.
Looks like you meeeicses chewing your funniest lol😅
