Yeah pretty good, I have a 14700k and 4070 super combo and works well but I will say that Am5 is a way better combo since it is future proof and gets better fps
Hey so im about to order the ryzen 7 7800x3d and I just wanna ask when u got it did u only download Fortnite and just left it as it is or did u optimise and then played as I’m scared that if it had fps drops sorry if I asked this before I’m just worried as I really don’t want fps drops I’m gonna partner it with a 4070 super
@@Alfieday03 so I downloaded Fortnite first and then optimizations( when I just got the 7800x3d) and I did this so I can compare it’s stock performance vs optimized but tbh it doesn’t really matter what you do you can do optimizations then download or download then optimizations I don’t think the order really matters

@@Citygirlsabrina yes you still need a cpu cooler, my pc got 7 fans and I still have a cpu cooler but instead of getting a liquid cooler like me you can just get one of those $20-$50 Air coolers, and this is because no matter how cool the inside of your pc gets the cpu still gets such high temperatures so you need a cpu cooler

And here are some of my recommendations, if you don’t wanna spend that much on one but still want it to be good then you can get the Thermalright Peerless Assassin(AIO) or a ID-COOLING FROSTFLOW X 240( liquid cooler)
9800X3D is fresh, he'll gains 2-6% with updates later, his system might be not perfect, he's playing 1080P, you're playing 1440P, CPU is more useless at 1440p, it makes sense.
Your cpu is still a legend in everything you drop against it. about the 9800x3d, i think that combo is bad He wouldve got 7600 + 4080 super and still there wont be any bottleneck

There must be something wrong with the display (Afterburner?) or test. No way those 1% are accurate! Should be over 200, no stutters? And it feels normal/smooth? I don’t know but top right is Fortnite’s display and the lows are high there..
@ yeah, looks more like 0.1 then 1% lows. Something is wrong, because those numbers don’t looks good at all, avg of 500 and 1% lows of 90…This Cpu is supposed to have better lows then 7800x3d, stock.
The latest beta version of Afterburner is from March 2024 and the lastest stable version from April 2023… I‘m sure it‘s just not fully supported yet and thats why those stats are not 100% correct.
@@7LINUS_ yeah I actually had to download a different software and enable it on Msi afterburner to show my cpu temps and cpu power because it was not yet supported by Msi afterburner
@@Zonex41 Even if your getting a M-ATX motherboard you should still get an ATX pc case, some good ATX cases are Lian Li ATX cases, NZXT H9 flow and Musetex ATX case. All of these cases give enough room for your parts to be comfortable
How the "" are you playing that fast. Are you truly on a controller? I have to put playback to 0.25x speed just to keep up with what you are doing wtf. Not using gyro either are you. Looks like an xbox or other controller
Yeah I think there is just a problem with either the software I use or its just a glitch or sum. Because as you can see when the 1% low does change it the fortnite fps on top right dont drop with it, even yesterday I was getting 1% lows at around 200, because the pc parts are really good and shouldnt be like this
@@bpvx2 nah unfortunately laptops have weaker pc parts, like my 4060 on desktop performer like 20% better than my laptop 4060 but with optimizations you can probably advice fps similar to this
@@bpvx2 nah probably not the 9800x3d is the best cpu for gaming rn but you’ll be fine you’ll be able to avg 360+ fps which is really all you need for Fortnite, just make sure that ryzen 9 is either the 7000 series or 9000 series since they’re the best ones rn. I recommend a laptop with either 9800x3d or 7800x3d, you’ll be getting high fps with either of those
@@Xided_ yeah this is still better than the 7800x3r I did a comparison between the two and 9800x3d got 50 more fps better, so I’m guessing you optimized your pc or something because you don’t get from a stock 7800x3d
@@adalll7243 the amd cards are usually for things like gaming right but workstation performance means things like blender or rendering videos and stuff like that Intel is the better one in that aspect but amd upgraded their workstation performance too which makes the 9800x3d such a beast of a card for the pirce
imagine when you play on a competitive level you dont care about looks, but performance, so you buy good hardware and play on low settings to have good performance and visibility
No optimizations have been done this is it’s raw performance. I’m sure with optimizations and bios settings you could get 10% more fps. 👍

Those 1% lows are really bad... something is off. It would likely be almost unplayable at below 100 for 1% lows.
Fortnite is off,this game has the poorest shaders optimizations. Years of only adding stupid cosmetics with zero optimizations.

I have a 7800X3D with 4070 super and I have 700 to 750 fps in game in 1440p with performance mode , so it couldn't be right that you get only 500 fps
