We have big news, because we are moving soon! We have finally found another location in Oosterhout, the village next to Dongen and therefore only a short distance away from where we are now. At this new location we have enough space to care for all animals and to expand with our webshop. We can expand here with a showroom with a wide range of natural food for guinea pigs, rabbits, dogs and cats. We will regularly give workshops in a specialized room that benefit the well-being of pets and owners. We can create a place where everyone has the opportunity to have contact with animals under professional guidance. And we have the space to work on dog welfare in addition to the well-being of guinea pigs and rabbits. With workshops, unique training and care that ensure that dogs and their owners have even better contact.
Moving and and furnishing the new location properly is not cheap if we want to do it well. That is why we ask everyone to contribute to realizing this move, so that we can not only continue our good work, but also expand it to help even more pets!
You can donate via the link in the description below.
And then some updates about our animals!
Raf and Rex were brought in because of a death in the family. Rex, of course the silver-coloured rex guinea pig, is already about six years old. His friend Raf is only about two years old. Rex turned out to have an inflamed eye when he was brought in, of course we started treating that right away.
Juffie and Juultje are also somewhat old at six years old. They were given up for financial reasons. Despite the fact that their hair is not very long, the girls needed a haircut, as well as a pedicure. They still look good for their age, so we still want to find a new home for them.
Madelief was found in a meadow with Roos, Chopper and Read in August. Because the boys and girls were running around together, we kept Roos and Madelief in the shelter to make sure they were not pregnant. That now appears not to have been an unnecessary precaution, because Madelief has now grown to the size of a pancake. We hope she will have a problem-free birth.

Welcome in our animal shelter! We are located in Dongen (the Netherlands) and we take care of guinea pigs and some other small animals that seek for a new home. Many of these animals stay with us permanently at our welfare centre.
Our welfare centre for pets Beestenplein attributes to a better animal welfare in many ways. Amongst others by offering natural petfood, by our E-magazine and E-learning, by helping other animal shelters and via many other ways.
